The branch that I’m in is a special one where everyone that’s in it has just got abilities most would call superhuman. It’s the smallest, but the nature of it means everyone gets to do something no matter what. Would be a waste otherwise.

Nah, there’s always some capacity for people with higher capabilities than your average joe to get some action in. That’s why I’m a Captain that you won’t find buried in an office or a base somewhere or something.

It’s not a “kind” thing. It’s a me thing. Lots of people individually just choose to believe it or not, but that’s my and a lot of other people’s takeaway too.

Besides, I’m sure it’s also different if you come from a place with a bit more mystical attunement.
