I'm really terrible for staying up without any sleep at all, but I did go through a period of mental not-wellbeing when I decided to test my endurance. 16 hours of sleep across 6 nights, didn't eat for 5 days straight of that, went without water for around 36 hours, and then played football. It was just a really bad idea - I was fine, but I reckon that was luck more than anything. If there's a reason you can't take anything, that sucks - try things like ASMR relaxation videos, see if that helps you drift off. If there isn't a medical reason, see your doctor about it.

During Soldier's Qualification in the Reserves, I probably only got 4 hours of sleep over 5 days.

Let me tell you sleep deprivation does cause rather vivid hallucinations. Imagine my relief when I discovered that when I heard the Spice Girls, it was actually the Opposing Force playing music at our trenches and not something pulled out of my subconscious.

47 hours is my record, it got me a (minor) nickname in high school of "Two Nighter".

That was just me gaming like crazy and seeing how long I could keep it up for, it wasn't do to any actual work, assignments, events, training etc.
Then again... I did once do a 25 page essay in 6 hours straight, I've never been someone to have to alter my sleep schedule on account of assignments.

But I do it all the time when there's nothing like school to wake up for and just want to play games really late.

Four and a half days without any sleep. Two of those without any food. I fell unconscious for a few hours at the end of it, I guess my body had decided that I was too stupid to manage my own affairs and decided to intervene on my behalf.

Nothing like soldier training that Dervish had (I didn't have to do physical activity in that, I probably wouldn't have made it that long), just poverty + mental instability waving its magic wand. He is definitely right about the hallucinations though.

36 hours due to gaming through the night is my best shot at staying up, I've never had to stay up for incredibly long periods so I have yet to test my endurance and normallly let myself fall to sleep when I'm too tired.

Between projects, work, finals and a very poorly timed case of insomnia, seventy hours or so? I think I lost my balance at one point, so I had to be very creative on how to get home from uni... A trip during which I learned my spirit animal is an ant-eater, if delusional half-dreaming qualifies for revelations on floating advice animals that speak Polish even if you don't understand a single word. I slept for sixteen hours straight after.

This is the single most amazing thing I've read all week.

Three days during relief efforts after the Japan quake. Because they turned my airbase into ground zero for relief efforts.

I think I stayed up roughly 70 hours once, back when I was a kid.

My hallucinations weren't vivid....more, shadows crawling across the ground or on the fringes of light...

Which is all the more abjectly terrifying when you're out at 3 AM delivering news papers. And the whole fact that I started sleeping, while walking.

Yea, I never try staying up really late if I'm outside the house and know I have to walk home and can't crash at a friends place.

Cause I've almost fallen asleep walking or sitting at a bus station several times, not fun. :/

Made it 4 days without sleep and then the next few days, I had managed to get around 2-3 hours of sleep throughout each night. *shrugs* Usually, I can go insane lengths on barely any sleep, but sooner or later, I'll crash and have something like 12-18 hours of sleep. I regularly run on little sleep, usually when I'm going through a major mood swing. Major bipolar disorder where I'll swing from insomnia during my manic episodes and hypersomnia during depression ones. *shrugs*

Once during college I had no four 20+ page papers due over a three-day period. Plan your classes better than that.... I didn't sleep for four days, and when I finally did nod off, it was in the middle of class for which that last paper was due. The teacher dismissed while I was snoring and I had to track him down to hand in my shit.

To be perfectly honest, sleep deprivation during SERE training was a cakewalk compared to that week.

I think I remember staying awake for 36+ hours a few times. I usually sleep 4-6 hours during working days and 6+ on weekends depending on how long I stay awake into the night. If I had a good enough reason I cloud probably pull out a few days without sleep but so far had no reason to do that ...

18 hours would be my longest record. I honestly couldn't stay awake long enough without having any sleep. Probably the longest was when me and my group mates were finishing our thesis before the submission date. It was severely stressful 'cuz there were still a lot of things needed to be addressed like our respondents' survey and etc.

Over 72 hours but [probably] less than 96. I have a bit of history with sleep deprevation.
