-steps through the tension and waves-
sorry if I arrived at a bad time. here is my character...she is a bit out there but hopefully everyone will like her--eventually.
& why thank you Garrison!
Name: Hannah Bishop
Alias: Tempest
Age: 18
Outfit: Tempest’s jumpsuit is quite large due to the fact that Purgatory ran out of size small. The sleeves fall past her hands concealing them. The uniform either drifts backward a bit showing the nape of her neck or forward, showing a little less than half of her tattoo.
Personality: Raised in one extreme to the other many would imagine the petite azure hued girl would be highly aggressive…being raised with natives who still uphold an Aztec way of life. That could not be further from the truth, however. Tempest, or so the guards have nicknamed her due to her affiliation with wind, is a highly curious creature. The timid girl has a difficult time with speech as most feral children do. Since she is still learning how to interact with people her actions are socially awkward, and other people’s personal boundaries are almost nonexistent to her. Often learning by touch she intrudes upon other’s personal space.
History: Tempest was born to missionaries who traveled all over the world teaching the indigenous about Christianity. She was also isolated from human contact for the duration of her childhood but not because her parents purposely abandoned her. They were attacked by a tribe and murdered in cold blood. She was left to fend for herself for many months at the age of five, unaware of the power within protecting her along the way. With confirmation the child still lived the tribe took her under their wing, surprised she had lasted by herself. This little warrior represented and housed a powerful aura that they wanted to harbor.
Instead of instantly teaching her their ways they kept the scared child in a guarded cavern to “exercise” the left over evil of her old life. Days were lost and once again she remained isolated with bits of food and water to sate her. She lived this way for years and became feral but the indigenous tribe were satisfied that the child was finally purged of her sin. They began to mold her like clay, ingraining their way of life into her. At 15 she passed through a rite of passage and received her unique chest piece tattoo of smoke surrounding an Aztec axe. The piercings came afterward as she continued to age and show potential though she desperately wanted to hunt with the men. This was not allowed so more often than not she would sneak, and wander after the groups to learn their skills.
At 17 one day while watching over the mācehualtin children her curiosity got the best of her. She sensed a presence by the river and decided to investigate but not before placing one of her friends in charge--not giving them a choice in the matter. Friends of Tempest’s original family formed a search party to track her down. It had taken them years but they had finally found the lost little girl, and came back to take her home. They were strangers and with much resistance a blast of energy released from Tempest’s body, throwing them back. One died from landing on a rock and their mission changed to contain the dangerous Evol reluctantly. They knew this would have been heartbreaking for her dead family to witness but could let someone with abilities like her flourish in the world. Somehow the men were able to subdue the monster and take her to the Purgatory facility.
To this day Tempest believes that the Aztec god Ehecatl bestowed upon her the magnificent gift of Air.
Skills:
-Tempest is literally a "force" to be reckoned with.
-Tempest can be manipulative and use her non threatening appeal to take advantage of others or a situation.
-Tempest cannot be coerced by fear or physical punishment due to her past. Mentally she is vulnerable and impressionable like a child but her pain tolerance is high.
-Is not skilled in close combat or hand to hand but can aid or protect others.
-She enjoys hunting and stalking—any thing and everything.
Power:
Defense: Elusive Zephyr: Due to the air affinity Tempest gains increased speed for a limited duration. This is only used to escape from a dangerous situation or push someone out of the way. Since she is a long distance user this comes in handy when she or someone else is cornered.
Note: Unintended Barrage: Tempest does not have full control over her abilities since just discovering them a year prior. When startled or touched unexpectedly she may release a massive burst of energy that may push away any individual--even if the person means no harm.
Ability: Air elementalist: Tempest has the ability to absorb ambiance to manipulate air i.e. creating barriers [around people as well], whirlwinds, and force pushing certain objects and/or people away.
Threat Level: 3
