The 522nd Grenadier Regiment has been reduced to the size of a Battalion with three company sized organizations. Major von Küchen, who was previously the battalion commander of the 2nd Battalion now commands a reduced company of Wehrmacht Grenadiers numbering 111 men. The leadership of the 522, along with many other Wehrmacht units have tossed away their Schmeisser sub machine guns in favor of the more accurate and more reliable Soviet built PPSh-41 SMGs.
