So I had an idea (dangerous I know) for a roleplay. We would each play a member of a small group of close friends (about 6 or so) who are all basically outcasts due to their various problems. An example of some characters I'd like to see would be a veteran with PTSD, a teen boy with abusive parents, an addict of some kind, someone who self harms, a criminal with a rough home life, etc.
The RP would probably be divided into episodes with each episode covering the group (known as the Outcasts) overcoming some conflict or threat from each respective member's background. Some examples.
The criminal has the police after him for some serious crime he didn't commit and the group has to prove his innocence.
The abuse victim publicly accuses his parents of beating him but no one believes him and the group has to help him deal with it, one way or another.
The veteran loses his job and has nowhere to stay and someone in the group takes him in (perhaps romance ensues?) and helps him back on his feet.
The cutter's parents try to have her committed to a rehab center that is really only after her/his parents' money and the gang helps her escape.
Each episode will have different solutions to the problems, some more moral than others. And each episode the group will try to help that respective member with his/her problem (maybe kicking an addiction or finding ways to cope with some other mental/psychological problem)
I'll leave you guys some creative freedom with your characters, but I would like to see some of the personalities aforementioned largely because I think they'd be really interesting. There will only be 6 main characters and I will be playing one and reserving a spot for another player (for now)
so I'll be accepting four applications AND on an episode-by-episode basis I'll accept players for the antagonists/supporting characters.
What say ya'll?
