Nothing exploded and no-one was hurt, we just had to wait on the oval for two and a half hours before we were allowed to get our stuff and leave. There were military helicopters and police and stuff. None of the students know any details, unless they themselves set up the bomb.

Not even sure what they intended to do with the helicopters, but they circled the campus pretty closely for a while. o-o They promised us that everything will be sorted out by tomorrow, so I guess I don't get out of that French exam. :|

Definitely. Even if all the students were evacuated and there really were some explosives, the main building is a lovely place with stained glass and stuff, so it would be a huge pity to see that damaged. And all the computers and things everywhere.

My mother was really stressed, though. :c

There are like two hives of the fuckers on the campus (or one with a really wide foraging range, I'll look into that). They get into classrooms and stuff.

E: Ok apparently honey bees can go for kilometres to get nectar, in which case there's probably only one hive.

Update: The helicopters were a coincidence, there was a training thing over the city with other planes and stuff involved too, although they did circle us.

I'm not sure what I think about this.

We always treated bomb threats like they were nothing but an annoyance, we would get one every once and a while but they were always half-assed threats themselves. Only a handful of students, one or two administrators, and the PTA ever took them seriously. After getting 3 in one semester, we got two rent-a-cops who every teacher bitched about.

In the district that I went to school at, if there was a threat in any of the schools, they sent the best security to the richest one :/

Same. The general consensus was that somebody called it in to get out of class for the day.

Also, no guards at my high school. Wasn't a very violent town.

The thing is, i personally think it would be waay more likely for someone at my school to be able to create a bomb as compared to inner-cities or bad parts of the state.

But we all just blew it off every single time like "Violence? In the middle of nowhere farm town of Pulaski? Pssshhhhh!"

My school didn' get bomb threats really. Gas leaks yeah, and some other shit sure. Hell, a couple of teachers would routinely bring their firearms to school. Shotguns and rifles because they wanted to go straight out to the woods on fridays to go hunting.

In Canada.

...Wow. This was the first time anything remotely like this happened to me or my siblings, so I guess I have a nicer neighbourhood, or city, or country. We all thought it was really serious shit (although it is perfectly likely that it was a ruse to disrupt exams, I still don't know anything).

I'll just edge slowly away from America now. o-o
