" a mission is my crime, just because I do them for gangs and groups like Venom doesn't make this any better. I took out other gang leaders isn't that considered helping the community because if that's what we have to do then well I've been gassy accused." She smiled and then made a snicker at the boys.

Jerid had listened for a while, then walked over to the arguing group and listened some more.
After quite some time he finally decided to bud in.
"Calm down people. Think about this. Why would a government institution use inmates as soldiers? They are unreliable, unstable and prone to attempt escape. And the public would never approve. It's because they can use you for illegal missions. Projects that will never see the light of day, these require soldiers with no rights and no chance to blow the whistle. They want pawns they can use and throw away. And if you happen to die in mission, just means the state have one less mouth to feed. We are cheap, dangerous and most importantly: expendable."

"This is true." Griffin replied. "However it does not change the fact that this offer allows us outside of these wall. I don't know if they can give me anything I want but I think that simply being able to get outside these walls might be enough to get me to agree to some of the missions."

"Oh I'm definitely in. I'm just making sure we all know what we're getting ourselves into." Jerid replied with a perfect grin.

Dylan leaned against the fence and thought about the offer. He probably wouldn't be watched too much, as he didn't have any connections. Though they could have easily thought about that, and give the people without connections more surveillance. Which could mean the people with connections have a better chance of escaping? He decided that he would probably go. It would be nice to actually see what it is like outside.

As the sun set the guards escorted the prisoners back to their cells.

Slasher laughed and crackles at the guards as they pulled her back to her cell. " so this is a two meal prison I assume well I've had worse half a meal a day kept me living for a few years, good enough to live on." Her smile I'll let never fading as she leaned against the wall by her cot and started fiddling with her hair. Long tangled, knotted mess of dark brown hair what could have been better.

Griffin rolled his eyes as the Slasher made another terrible joke. He stretched out on the hard cot thinking about the Warden's offer. He wasn't really tempted. Although he thought he might be the groups best hope of making contact with the outside world.
