World: The story is set in the great blue, a world covered in 80% ocean with various islands. The world is low level steam punk (no planes or flying craft) with pistols and the odd steam machine but the legion is pushing its technology forwards at a dangerous rate. Sea monsters such as the kraken do exist but are common place for sailors. Special things know as 'loadstones' powered by animagi magic serve to keep the more dangerous creatures away from islands and floatilas. There are two poles and to the very east an west lie what locals call the storm front, no one has ever crossed it and returned.

Story: D the leader of the Legion of Steel is intent on finding one of the more powerful animagi artefacts that allows control of the sea itself. With this power he intends to rule the Great blue in the name of the light. Opposing him is Solomon T, leader of the rebellion and current possesser of the Ziz artefact allowing him control over the sky. He is rarely seen by low ranking rebels. D has forced any animagi to register wth the legion, in exchange for being left alone they must assist the legion when needed. D doesn't engage himself with others much, his orders are carried out by his right hand known as M. M is a powerful magma animagi and a force to be reckoned with.





Allegiance
Your character may be either
Legion - You will start in the iron city (optional for animagi)
Rebel - You will start in either Browndocks or little rock
No allegiance - You will start in little rock

If your character is animagi they will either have alliegence to the legion or be hiding their ability (rebels/neutrals).

Notable locations:
Little Rock - A neutral island town to the east. Know for its library and farms. A favourite of rogue animagi as the town dislike legionaires and do as little to assist them as possible. 300 people living there permenantly but can hold 600.

Iron city - One of the large islands to the north acting as the Legion of Steel headquaters. Its size has been increased with large flotillas being attached. Centre for the millitary power. Contains factories and academies. The academies hold about 500 people each totaling 2500, about 400 non-legion people live in the shops and taverns.

Browndocks - Named so due to the wood its made from. A centralised flotilla that acts as the trade centre. Has it's own guards that remain completely neutral, D has tried to change this but the legion needs the trade access so he is forced to put up with it. 400 permanent residents, can hold 600-700.

Rebel base - Solomon's base. The Legion have so far been unable to find it, with only his highest ranking members knowing how to access it. It's unknown how large it is or how many people it holds.

Setup
The legion is currently making a push for the rebels meaning they are using whatever resources are availble. Legion characters will be given orders once we've started. Non-legion characters will be looking for work or adventure and have found their way to one of the two locations mentioned above. Rebel characters have heard no orders for a while and are looking for work aswell.

This is casual but I would prefer it to be towards the high end so 2 paragraphs minimum.

Name: Aurelia Strife

Age: 21

Appearance:



Aurelia has short, very black, mostly unruly hair. Her skin is creamy and light, dusted with freckles just about everywhere. She is small and skinny, with a boyish build and legs that seem too long. Her face is round and a little childish, with brown eyes and a small nose.

Personality: While she may seem small and childish, the minute Aurelia opens her mouth she looses any of that charm. She is blunt, stating almost everything that comes to mind in any given situation, loud, and a bit crass. Her speech is mixed with slang and curse words, and she has a tendency to sneer at everyone. She's apprehensive of people who are overly nice, and will make fun of anyone she regards as a wimp. She values wits and social skills over anything, and is easily wooed by anyone who is smarter than her, which is sort of difficult because she has a knack for learning things really quickly. Aurelia has been looking out for herself most of her life, and is mostly apathetic to the politics of the world.

Inventory: A variety of shiny objects in her pockets, a messenger bag containing; chalk, her metal claw (right hand), interesting pebbles, a dagger, and some alcohol she probably stole. She also has a blanket and a mess kit strapped to the bottom of the bag. Her trinket is a magpie feather and silver beads she wears at her waist.

Class: Animagi

Element: Lightning/Electricity

Skills:
Aurelia has an uncanny sense of direction from growing up on the streets.
She is advanced in bare-handed combat, and uses her metal claw as her only weapon.
Mild knowledge of pressure points on the human body.

Spells:
Aurelia can administer small electric shocks through her skin. She has no control over the voltage, but it ranges from a tickle to knock-you-on-your-knees.

She can create a small blade out of lightning, or enchant something with lightning. It lasts only a few seconds but is mildly powerful. With enough practice. Aurelia could make herself a blade and use it for the duration of a fight.

Aurelia can transform into a Eurasian Magpie, roughly twice the size of the average magpie.

In any storm where there is electricity, Aurelia gains energy, speed, and strength. She can also call down bolts of lightning to strike the ground, although she has little control over where it strikes.

Aurelia is immune to any sort of electrical current or lightning damage. In fact, it tends to give her a boost.

With enough concentration, Aurelia can create a wall of lightning that will strike anyone that comes near it. Takes quite a while and is very taxing, though she could potentially raise enough to provide cover for a small unit of soldiers almost 360 degrees around.

If in water, Aurelia has the potential to create an electric shock that will hit anyone else touching the liquid.

Miscellaneous info: Aurelia will collect anything shiny/interesting she sees and keep it in her pockets or her bag.

Name: Garick Darksand

Age: 29

Appearance:


Heavier build, a darker skin tone with brown eyes and longer hair.

Personality: Garick grew up hiding his abilities with magic and is consequently highly distrustful of others even those who have proven to be trustful repeatedly. This however does not prevent him from being amiable to others and having a propensity for deadpan humor and dry sarcasm. Due to his need to protect his abilities from discovery Garick has trouble forming lasting relationship as in his mind he needs to be able to leave at a moments notice should people become aware of his ability and turn him over to the Legion. Garick believes in being practical and not taking unnecessary risks however this does not mean he won’t take risks when he believes them necessary and profitable.

Inventory: A small number of coins, Twin Scimitars, Falchion, backpack, bedroll, shoulder slung bag of sand, belt with numerous pouches for magical components.

Garick’s Trinket is a Scorpion clasp for his cloak which he removes during usage of his elemental manipulation although he can use his spells even when not holding the clasp as it remains in contact with him however it gives him a better focus and finesse to actually hold the clasp.

Spells:
Garick has the ability to manipulate granulated earth including sand, ash, salt and dust. Garick can also manipulate the crystalline forms of his elements to a lesser degree including glass, obsidian and salt crystal. Garick is also capable of inducing dehydration, desiccation and other exposure related effects by stripping water from his enemies. While Garick is not capable of directly manipulating water he can dispel it evaporate or otherwise remove it from other organisms. With sufficient focus Garick can also dispe larger bodies of standing unattended water.

Garick is capable of solidifying salt, sand and ash into a crystalline form giving himself the ability to form claws or weapons of crystalline salt, glass and obsidian.

Garick’s animal form is a yellow and black carapaced Scorpion the size of a very large dog which secretes a deadly neurotoxin.

(When Garick achieves the elemental form the Scorpion will be composed of obsidian with yellow and red sand flowing beneath its surface, this form is noticeably larger than the normal animal form)

Garick is capable of a very disturbing spell which involves drying out a corpse with salt and coating the bones and skin with salt which then allows Garick to use the corpse as a puppet while highly disturbing his control is at best spotty, however with practice Garick could conceivably control multiple corpses with lethal ability.

Garick also has the theoretical knowledge of a spell which could be used to instill sentience in a golem composed of salt, sand or ash however Garick’s level of skill and confidence is not sufficient to accomplish this yet.

Garick’s link to the power of sand renders him all but immune to the effects of dehydration, heat stroke, desiccation and sun blindness.

Garick can move all but unimpeded on sand, dust or ash.

Miscellaneous info: Garick disdains most technologies but he will use them if it will serve his purpose.

Merlin can you change it to just sand.People don't get multiple elements. The scorpion and spells are fine though.

By the time I can get it up probably not, I'll be fine with a captain, I think I'm fairly well built. I'm thinking he's not a major animation but there's an aura that does minor stuff but not big like the others will end up being what I do

Yeah definitely. It's pretty much half-done already just gotta finish it up andost once I get home in like.. 20-30 minutes. So hopefully by the end of the hour it will be up,

Personality: Milo doesn't think, he will react to the world in a moments notice and sometimes that will put him in a spot of trouble. He doesn't anger easily due to a short time in India learning part of the Buddhist belief (He does not follow it strictly, makes major exceptions to its core beliefs). Though he acts as a pirate to live, he still avoids angering the law as much as possible, though a few ships missing and its crew missing is easy to blame on a more known pirate in the area. His crew comes before friends, unless the friends commands a ship.

Something I probably should have mentioned earlier Phoenix, there will be chances for characters to become animagi as the story goes on.

And damn the time differences. Makes dialog take ages.
