Team Super-Awesome-the-Best

Map... keys... shoes... with three key words spoken, the runes on the door glow dimly. A loud thunk, the sound of stone gears grinding followed by a rocky click unlocked the door, allowing it to be opened. Inside is a large and dark room barely lit by the light from outside. Ancient torches line the walls, covered by cobwebs. Pickaxes and packs of dynamite are accompanied by wheelbarrows full of strange ores. In one corner there's a group of barrels full of powder, it appears to be the ore ground down into course grains. The aroma from the barrels is relentlessly sneeze inducing. "I guess its a sneeze-powder mine." Miri said over the crystal-ball. "Huh, I can't say much more than that without my tome. Where did that thing go? Must be that darn fairy... Well, what are you waiting for, get going already!" The only path leading out opens up to a large round tunnel with pockets periodically dug into the sides, large enough to fit several dozen princesses, or a wagon. Eventually the tunnel leads to an area bordered by stalagmites, the deeper parts of the area grow increasingly darker and more humid. The occasional rumble is nerve-racking.

Team Better-than-theirs

Ryonara said
"Gentlemen, surely you can see that we are merely refugees of war. We have nothing of value on us. There is no need to waste time trying to squeeze water from a stone, or money from us."

"Miss, please. We aren't amateurs, we're professionals. Surely you have something for us to steal? The clothes on your backs, or your wagon perhaps? What kind of brigands would we be if we don't relieve you of you're possessions? Now, could you please hurry up, we have other bridges to hide under you know..." The other bandits started growing anxious, reaching for their blades and arrows. Unless something is done soon a fight is gonna break out.

"Yeah yeah, give us a sec!" Leaning back towards the team, Miri whispered to them. "Guuuyyys, quit talking about what to do and do something already! You're not gonna let some level 1 bandits beat you, are you?"

The Wyvern proceeded into the... Sneeze powder mines, turning his head back, curling it over the top of his right wing in order to see backwards "Well met" He called "But if you are going to help, get in here" He turned his head forwards, concentrating. He could see fairly well through the growing darkness given his eyes design, but he doubted the others could. A small wisp of flame escaped from his lips, illuminating the darkness as he went forwards slowly and tentatively, almost as though he expected something to jump out and try to murder him on the stop.

"Alright! Yeah! Door's open!" Without further adieu, Malakaus picked up his double orc axe and ran into the sneeze caves. The only preparation he took was wrapping a cloth over his mouth and nose, charging strait past the dragon so that he could get the first hack into the enemy. And he knows there is some sort of baddie inside these caves, maybe a giant slime or undead. Either way, they'd get a fast-food special of Malakaus's axe to their face.

He largely ignored the other human's offer of the bird and the arrival of the effeminate person. While aware of them, he simply did not give them any further attention. They were here, they had something to offer, and that was good enough for him. Despite never being here before, the mines reminded him of home; his time spent in caves like these digging out his own ores. Sure they weren't Sneeze Powder, but he was still aware of the other structural dangers.

Vivien advanced carefully behind Malakaus once the door opened. Who knew just what nasty surprises were lying in wait for them? Vivien could think of a few, ranging from the mundane, such as unfriendly miners or beasts who have taken up residence in the mine, to the outlandish, like the mine itself being possessed by a vengeful spirit hellbent on killing or trapping anyone wandering inside for eternity. However, he immediate concern was the darkness. He could barely two meters ahead of him, how were the expected to fight or even travel in such conditions?

Thankfully, as if on cue, the wyvern breathed a small wisp of flame that provided some illumination. Vivien looked back at the creature with an appreciative smile on his face. "Thanks," He said, his voice still sounding slightly shaky and uncertain, but it was at least a lot better than before. He wandered away from the group to investigate the barrels of dark powder. The lingering dust in the air was irritating enough to cause him to always be on the verge of sneezing, but Vivien was pretty sure that sneeze powder was not a thing, and if it was, it was certainly not something anyone would go through all this trouble to extract from the earth. He picked up a handful of the dust from the barrel and allowed it to trickle past his fingers. There seemed to be nothing strange about them, but Vivien was prepared to be surprised.

What alarmed him, however, was the presence of dynamite. Had he known earlier, he would have warned the wyvern not to be too hasty with breathing fire. He knelt and picked up a few of the red sticks, stashing them into his pack. They could certainly come in handy later. Looking around, using whatever light the wyvern's flame provided to look for something useful. As luck would have it, he found an old, unlit torch buried under a pile of disused pickaxes. A slight sense of unease filled Vivien as he noticed the haphazard manner the tools had been left. Whoever left them must have been in a hurry to get out.

Shaking his head to clear it of any unhelpful thoughts, Vivien picked up the torch and approached the wyvern. "E-Excuse me," Vivien began and cleared his throat. It was still somewhat intimidating for him to talk to something that could easily swallow him in a single bite. "But I found a torch, would you mind lighting it? There are dynamite lying around this mine, breathing fire might be as dangerous as it is helpful."
