Seeing as the detachment of the wolf soldiers came towards Darrow, he decided it was time to get...nasty. As they started to circle around Darrow and Math'Ura, they started to speak words he didn't understand and two went after Math'Ura and one went after himself. Big mistake.

Darrow and Math'Ura charged as one, with Darrow's axes making a sickening crunch as it slammed into the head of the wolf, shattering bones and flinging brains every, taking it out of the fight for now. With the wolf out, the owner was of little challenge as his head became paste. As this was happening Math'Ura had simply swatted one rider off of its mount, killing both at the same time and then raised to her full height and brought it down on the other, only receiving a small cut on her shoulder and preceded two bight a chunk out of the rider. If he wasn't dead now, he would be soon.

With the enemies taken care of, Darrow fallowed the commotion of bird calls, his armor making the distinctive rattle all the way there.

Clyde folded his arms as gale took flight in the sky." Uhh...those guys don't give up..." He sighed. He laid back on his huge eagle, trying to relax. He was slightly bored but oh well

Skye gasped in fear, seeing her companion tackled, "N-no, Benny!" Before the girl could protest she was grabbed by two strange men with a knife held at her throat. She bit on her lip, a muffled scream tried to escape her, but to no avail. She wished more than anything that Franz was here right now to calm her down and escort her to safety.

I have to save Benvolio!

She found herself trying to reach for the dog passively. He was trying to break himself from the grasp of the wolves, shouting something about them being "hell-hated louts". "L-let him go! He has . . Nothing to do with whatever you are fighting about!"

Corrine blinked as she was met with not one, but two arrows, and she scowled. However, she kept her bow raised--lowering it would give the other girl a chance to shoot. Then, Alex commanded his men to seize the girl and her dog and her frown deepened. Shit, she thought. Unless these two know each other, why would that work? She kept silent, though, focusing her attention on the other girl and her panther as she tried to figure out what to do. She couldn't tell Alex's men to back off--not because they weren't hers, mind you--but because without the anxious girl in danger, the brave one would be more likely to shoot at Corrine and Serafina.

If a lioness could smirk, Serafina was. This girl before her was brave and bold--far more than even her mistress. The lioness didn't have much time to think on it, though, as a rattling sound approached. She turned her head, tail swishing angrily. Cori, she warned, spotting two giants approaching: the bear was large, but so was the man. They were covered in the blood of their allies, too.

"Kinda busy," Corrine responded, forcing herself to keep her attention on the girl before her. Should she break her focus, Corrine would shoot to disarm--she didn't want to kill if she didn't have to.

As Darrow and Math'Ura made their way to the clearing, he saw something that made him. well... pretty angry. Two wolf men were threatening a girl by knife point, another one of the kings men- er woman had a bow pointed at the girl from before, and their was an exceptionally large eagle in the sky.

He knew that the kings women had seen him, but the others had not. It was a risk but he was going to take it. Before completely entering the clearing, Darrow threw his last two javelins at the two men holding the girl, taking note that he would have to make more soon, one of which pierced his chest and pinned him to the tree. The other had missed its mark but had nipped his neck, causing him to bleed moderately. Hopefully with one guardian down, the dog could escape.

With that, Darrow and Math'Ura smashed the branches keeping them from the clearing and both simultaneously let a deep growl come fourth from the center of their chests.

Eldalia grimaced but didnt lower her weapon, "That only works if you know the person." She felt a surge of guilt, but she couldn't help anyone if she was dead amd she would rather die than ever surrender to the King's army.

She forced herself to ignore the commotion Darrow and hia guardian caused. She kept her attention on the two before her, " Do you really believe this sort of thing is right? I mean come on, you guys kidnap and murder in order to add to your ranks. You force innocent children to fight for you and believe what the King wants." She glared at them, "You take away choice. I will never surrender to such a life."

"You don't know what you're talking about," Corrine defended instantly, momentarily ignoring the commotion. Being born to nobility didn't leave much room for mobility, but the appearance of Serafina changed that: nobility for a woman as strange looking as Corrine meant staying in the home all day and waiting for a proper suitor to take her away...to another home where children would be added to her responsibilities. As a solider, she had far more power and freedom--but with a comfortable shelter and the privilege of never worrying about where her next meal would come from, either. To her, those with guardians had far more freedom than those without. She was happy, and genuinely believed these strays could find their own happiness with the army. "Besides, look around. Soldier's blood has been spilled by the hands of you strays--Serafina," she barked.

As she did, she turned her attention on the giants who had entered the clearing and she quickly released her arrow at the man growling at her. Bones for armor, she noted as the arrow flew, eyes widening a bit. She had heard the stories and to see him covered in the blood of her allies only confirmed her fears. Quickly, she moved to notch a second arrow, though ready to drop her bow in exchange for her blade should worst come to worst. As Corrine diverted her attention elsewhere, Serafina was ready to take both arrows should Edalia shoot. She couldn't die so easily--Corrine could, and a little pain was worth if it meant living to see another day.

"Alex, correct? We need to retreat," Corrine called to her ally. The word was a stab to her ego, but she wasn't confident they could handle the giants.

Alex scowled and then just nodded. Him and Nero then dashed into the woods and disappeared from sight. As Alex and Nero were running back to the castle Nero said "don't beat yourself up over this, we will get another chance soon."
Alex said "it's not that, I was told that if I didn't return with a stray this time I was going to be punished."
When Alex arrived at the castle two guards were waiting for him. They escorted him to the Generals office. Alex sat down in the chair and waited. Nero was in the hall. The General walked in with his snake following him. "you remember what we said would happen if you failed again." Alex said "yes." The General then signaled to the snake who slid over to Alex and bit him in the arm. Alex didn't scream he just sat their and clenched his fist as the pain washed over him. The General said "His posion wont kill you but it will put you in so much pain that you will wish you were." Alex didn't answer he was to focused on trying to keep from screaming from the pain.

The arrow came close to hitting him dead on, but a quick movement on his part lead the arrow to get lodged between the hardened bone, causing a scratch to form on his shoulder. As he took the arrow out, the remaining wolf soldiers and the pale one had already left, leaving him with the two others like himself.

Turning towards the other two, Darrow said with audible difficulty. "Hel..lo."

Eldalia turned to him slowly and looked at him warily, "Hello. " the way today was going she didnt know if she was safe or not.

She lowered her bow slightly but didn't put it down. She slid off Infinity's back and cautiously moved forward. She looked around the clearing with a sad look. It was a mess. She just wanted to get away from it all.

Darrow saw the look, deciding that the day didn't need anymore death he holstered his axes. Today had been going so well. Taking off his armor vest, Darrow looked at the cut that the arrow had made and decided to clean it.

Pointing at himself, Darrow said "Me...Darrow. You...hurt?" as he went digging into his bag looking for something to clean the wound, he was sure he had some herbs somewhere.

She shook her head and lowered her bow, "Im not hurt. My name's Eldalia. "

She reached into her pack and pulled out some herbs before hesitantly handing them to him, "Try these. " she put them in his hand before walking away. Silently she she moved around the clearing checkimg on all the bodies before arranging each one gently. She didnt care that they were soldiers they didnt deserve to just be left.

"Thank...you" Darrow said, accepting the herbs. taking out his mortar jar and started to grind them into a paste. While doing this, Darrow decided to introduce himself to the other girl.

"I...Darrow...she...Math'Ura." He said despite the pain of adding the herb to the cut.

"Thats Infinity" she gestured towards her guardian who was watching her closely, a worried expression on her face.

Eldalia finished with the bodies and moved back towards Darrow, "Are you okay?" She asked softly, hoping her understood. She slung her bow across her back.

Answering the question with a nod of the head, Darrow began to slip back into his armor.

"Worried...about...small one." he said in the small amount of time he had known either of them, the smaller one had been in the toughest spot of them all.

Turning back toward Eldalia he questioned "Why...deal...with...bodies?" as he finished with his jar and uncorked his water bag.

After Benvolio had been freed, Skye leaned down beside the dog, insisting that he would stay down so she could search and treat any injuries he had. She was relieved that she had found none aside from small scratches that did not seem to irritate him. She had sighed and now she was just sitting in the dirt, trying to regain her breath and mental balance. That was terrifying. . .

Her eyes wandered over to the other two, each with "guardians" like herself. She scratched Benvolio behind the ear and looked up at them both, feeling too timid and shy too enter the conversation. She counted the seconds. One, two, three. . .

Finally, she would force herself to speak, in a shy, quiet and slow manner. "Thank. . you."

After removing several large wooden splinters from his back, Renan decided that he couldn't sit still any longer. He was used to seeing children with guardians being used by the military... But this? This was new. This was different. This was wrong. Standing up and stretching his back, Renan found himself faced with two options. He could either head for a government facility in hopes of finding answers, or go back to the fight that was presumably still raging in the forest. Finding himself morally obligated to go back and help the poor saps that he had gotten into the problem in the first place, Renan scribbled a note and started jogging, crossbow in one hand, foil in the other.

Arriving at the scene Renan was surprised to find the lined up corpses of the guards from earlier, as well as a lack of the boy with the wolf and the albino from earlier. Approaching the group, he looked about and began to wince. Black feathers littered the ground, the mangled, torn corpses of a dozen birds strewn about. He looked to the girl with the German shepherd, and seeing that she was alright approached the girl with the panther. He held up the note.

My name is Renan.

I cannot speak.

We should find out what's going on, this use of force seems odd, at least to me.
I know where a government outpost is, and if of want, I know how we can get in. You won't like it.

You can sign. You can help me communicate with the others. If we are to survive as a group, I will need you.

Please. For me. For the others. For the family that had to abandon you. Let's do something right.

Eldalia looked at the bodies, "No ome deserves to just be left as they die." She sighed softly and turned away from them, "Im a healer, they may be dead but its an my duty to do what I can."

She walked over to the girl and crouched down, "Are either of you hurt?"

When Renan showed up she spun around. She read his note carefully, "I can sign for you, but we cant just go rushing into things," she gestured around the clearing, "Today hasn't been easy, we all need to recover for at least a day."

She moved back to the girl and crouched down, pushing her hair out of hwr face, "Do you need anything?"

Turning towards the newcommer, Darrow spoke with his usual difficulty. "Why..no...speak?" as he started to notice the smell coming from him. It had been days since he last bathed and he was beginning to miss the hotspring.

While waiting for an answer, Darrow walked over to Math'Ura and spoke to her in his native language.

Darrow said "You are hurt mother bear, do you need my help? she had a cut on her shoulder and while he knew she could shrug it off, it couldn't have been very comfortable.

Math'Ura nuzzled him and said "Yes Darrow, use some of the herbs. It stings quite a bit.

With that, Darrow used the last of the herbs on her wound and took out some dried meats and offered them to whoever wanted one.

Skye was stroking Benvolio's back when the other girl had come over to check on her. She shook her head in response to the girl's question, "No, I-I. . .", her tongue stumbled clumsily and Skye was only able to mumble out those words before the other girl had walked away. Skye watched as the scene unfolded, her heart beating coming to a steadier beat. Still, she had the extraordinary sensation to bawl her eyes out.

The girl had come back over a second time. Benvolio was now lying on his belly, no longer on his side. He was panting, a healthy look in his black orbs. Soon, he would return to being the same optimist who insulted everyone around him as always. Skye looked at the other girl with large, frightened eyes, "I-I, uhm. . . no, not really. But uhm, w-what exactly is going on?"

Yes, answers would be good.
