It will mainly be fought in space or the atmosphere of planets, but I suppose their could be both towns and space stations to travel to in order to barter for equipment for the ships. I doubt there will be land combat unless there is a lot of requests for that to be implemented. There just might be ship on ship boarding action.

It'd be interesting to see person to person combat, but I definitely want to focus on dog fighting. I've got an idea for a my character ready, can't wait for this to start!

I have all of the background info typed up so just have some plot, rules, character sheet, etc. to do. As a wild guess I'll say it should be ready in around 30 minutes.

As originally planned, person on person fighting is limited to command ship boarding, which will be rare. The focus will certainly remain on ship combat so don't worry.

@Strange leader Dog fighting does sound fun. Plus, I doubt our team can afford long range missiles at the start. Oh jeez, I just imagined a high level jerk hitting us with one T_T

Can't wait for the OOC to be up! I can already tell, our first few matches are going to be both very fun and very painful. So exciting! Hm, I have a question. will individual players accumulate in-game currency to purchase and upgrade their own personal fighters, or do all proceeds go into a team pool in which the leader will decide what to purchase?

You get currency through destroying other ships that people paid currency for (thus getting the currency for yourself) or using real money, which we won't have a lot of, especially at the start. Individual players get currency for their kills but the funds can be set to transfer to the clan leader by whatever percentage he or she choses. My character will allow you to keep all of your currency but it can be pooled together willingly to buy stuff we couldn't afford separately.

The plot section is done. Now just the other stuff.

Our total money can be more by feel of what we'd have left rather then actually sticking to a strict budget and knowing all of our expenses. The command ship can gain money by kills with your forward facing guns. Most clan leaders in that position get the most money from the other clan members due to the previously mentioned percentage of income earned off of them.

I won't do any dice rolls unless we honestly cannot make up our minds what should/would happen.

Okay! I suppose it would get tedious after a while anyway. I'm new to the Role Player Guild and don't have very much experience with how RPs are run. Sorry if I have a lot of questions.
