Vent:

Just a general observation I made on another RP forum.

I posted a plot on a site, which I gave permission to a female friend to use.

Exactly the same plot, we're the same writing standard, and we were playing the same gender character.

She got 15 replies, versus two on mine.

Why? Well, according to another member, and, I quote;

"She's actually a girl. You're transgender. Thus, you don't count as a woman, and people find that disgusting, as do I. Why are you even allowed to be on here?

People like you shouldn't even BE considered humans."

Lovely.

No, I am NOT going to link the site.

Please don't link to the site.

For you own health, you may want to forget you even have the link yourself. People like those you interacted with, small-minded and sad individuals, are just going to be like that. You won't change them, unfortunately.

If the site's admins are that sort, you could report that user for their comment. I consider that kind of statement highly offensive, even though I'm not transgender. If not, don't waste your time, leave and don't look back.

Your mental health is worth more than their satisfaction.

Well, the way I see it, them being so upfront about it saves you the trouble and drama of it coming up later during an RP..

Also it sounds like a 1x1 and some people take romance there way too seriously. Teenage cyber machines ya know. Hard to take seriously.

Just report for hate speech and move on. Arguing is a waste of time.

The fact they think you have of been born with your physical sex as a female in order to roleplay a women highlights several things to me.

1. They are no true roleplayer's (And I say this having quit forum RP'ing myself several years ago)
>They proved they are unable/un-capable to roleplay as certain character's due to their sex

2. They are rather one dimensional character at that
->Seeing as they seem to think a character's sex is such a big deal that it alone determines how and who can roleplay them.

3. They're close minded and bigoted assholes, therefore unworthy of your time
->If they do not accept you simply because you identify differently than they do then they live a very narrow, hateful and limited life. One you gain no benefit by being part of or allowing to take influence over your own life.
