It is the end of the Golden Age in Narnia, when the High King Peter ruled Narnia and its Empire with his three siblings under him, King Edmund, Queen Susan and Queen Lucy. But the Pevensies have gone missing while hunting the White Stag, a mystical beast that can grant wishes. All Narnia is in uproar, rebellion and strife ravish the land. The Lord Peridan has inherited the throne as the lost monarchs' most trusted advisor. But other powers in the world, the other nations, have noticed the power vacuum and desire to take Narnia for their own.




In this RP, each RPer would command the forces of each nation in the Narnian world. The storyline follows on from that of the book, though it's fine if anyone uses images from the film in posts. The nations outlined in Teal, Purple and Sickly green are to provide more space if a great number of people wish to join.

The Narnian Dark Age is the time period between the book The Horse and his Boy and the Telmarine conquest, which occurs roughly two centuries before Prince Caspian. C.S. Lewis left this period unexplained and obscure, particularly in its early stages. Therefore, I deemed it an appropriate era in which to hold a nation-based RP.

Nation information:

Narnia

Ruler: Lord Peridan
Capital City: Cair Paravel
Other settlements of note: Beaversdam, Beruna, Dancing Lawn (Fauns/Dryads)
Empire: Seven Isles, Terebinthia, Lone Islands
Armed forces: Predominately land army. A fairly small navy, but enough to resist even Calormene invasion at sea for some time. Has an air force, composed of Talking Birds and other flying creatures (e.g. Gryphons) Currently effective, but reduced in power due to disorganisation in the chain of command.
Races: Humans, Talking Beasts, Naiads, Dryads, Dwarfs, Fauns/Satyrs, Centaurs, Good Giants (few), various other mythical creatures.
Allies: Archenland, Galma, Narnian Empire
Description: Narnia is currently in a state of near anarchy due to the disappearance of the Pevensies. Lord Peridan, though in power, still faces counter-claims for the throne from numerous parties, including abroad. He is of Frank's (first King of Narnia) line, but lived in Archenland for much of his life.

Archenland

Ruler: King Lune
Capital City: Anvard
Other settlements of note: Unknown
Empire: None
Armed forces: Predominately land army. Very small navy. Both active, and prepared to defend themselves.
Races: Humans, Talking Beasts (few)
Allies: Narnia, Galma, Narnian Empire
Description: Archenland has ever been the ally of Narnia, due to the fact that both nations' monarchs are descended from the same line (Frank). Archenland is technically a part of the Narnian Empire, but the former has virtually no authority over the country. The Archenlanders watch the situation in Narnia with interest, for if anything were to happen to the Lord Peridan, Prince Corin would likely be next in line for the Narnian throne.

Galma

Ruler: Duke Winfreg (non-canon)
Capital City: Galmea (non-canon)
Other settlements of note: Unknown
Empire: None, linked with Terebinthia
Armed forces: Predominately navy. As a small, island nation, Galma keeps its navy strong to fend off pirates and other invaders. It could also, however, be used in offence...
Races: Humans
Allies: Narnia, Archenland, Narnian Empire
Description: Galma is a small, sovereign Duchy under the authority of the Narnian Empire. Its Duke, Winfreg, has taken the opportunity to seize independence for Galma, and now commands its forces with the power of a monarch. The nation has remained largely unaffected by the Pevensie disappearance, and means to continue to govern itself without the over-lordship of any other nation.

The rest of the nations will be done if anyone is interested.
