Hahaha, you guys reminded me to make an in-game character name. Also, Eddy sounds like a fun character. I can't wait to see the different characters' reactions to his "dual personalities."

You know, this may be set in Ohio, but every time I see this rp, I automatically get an anime feeling from it.

Job : Helps her father with his business, same grade as Taylor and helps Student Council with money management.

Description : Venessa lives with her father, who runs a very, very successful stock management company that helps people manage their stocks and tells them when to buy or sell stocks. While she was able to buy her very own Ultimate Horizon system with money earned by helping her father, she is still fairly new to the game and could only afford to buy the Ultimate Horizon and is now broke. She stumbled upon Blue Starlight by chance and sent an application. She thought since the game was online, there was only a small chance that she'd be meeting the leader and fellow clan members in real life, and thus less pressure on herself if she did something bad.

It would be funny if we even do more damage to ourselves then the enemy. Even if the elite clans won't bother paying any attention to us due to us not being worth their time, we'll still have trouble fighting anyone at all at the start, even the other random people flying around.

I chose Ohio simply as a nod to where a lot of astronauts are from, but made use from a small made up town where it would be unassuming that we'd be any good. A Tokyo based clan will be high up among the Elite 12. I was actually planning on a character kicked out of that clan and she moved to Ohio, but that would be a second character. Someone else can use that idea if they'd like.

The picture reminds me of Homura from Madoka Magica for some reason. Little does she know that when searching for clans, the default search is clans that are close to your current position and work it's way out, making it unknowingly to her not to be chance at all. Her reaction will be priceless when we show up at her doorstep wondering when she'd meet up with us. She'd have to not know that her machine is set to reveal her location. It's probably in the options somewhere that could have accidentally been turned on.

Ven only plays one other online game that has a completely different clan system :P

Personality: He's introverted but is taking steps to change that, even if it's hard on him to do so. He's still quite a soft spoken pushover who's too easily agreeable. He enjoys video games and using his imagination so playing Ultimate Horizon was perfect for him to keep his mind off of real world problems. He's really intelligent but doesn't know what he wants to be when he grows up. Some say that his intelligence is wasted on him because of this. He can't seem to find the energy to do things that he doesn't want to do unless he's forced into it. If he goes out on a limb he tends to get struck down with bad luck so he takes comfort to taking the safe, tried and true path. He has a dislike of rulebreakers.

Job: Student/part time work at the arcade.
Description: He hasn't done much of note before forming the clan. His parents are low income blue collar workers. He was able to afford few games, but the ones he could buy he played the crap out of them, becoming really good at them but shutting himself off from the world around him after being teased too much. The teasing mostly stopped once he got older but he's still up to his old ways. He got a job at the arcade in order to play more games on his breaks, setting his eyes on Ultimate Horizon. That was too extensive to be played just during breaks so he was sure to save up a lot of cash to help afford him being able to rent some time on it during his days off. Sometimes the owner gives him a discount rate when he does a really good job during his shift. This actually got him to be a more productive member of society so he's improving for the better but still has a lot to go. Just recently he found a ticket in his cereal that allowed him to start a free clan, and as you know that's what starts the plot off.

I'll start the IC tomorrow with my guy in the arcade just before people start joining his clan. You guys can pop in however you want.

EDIT: I linked all accepted characters to the first post. I changed "command ship personnel" to the much cooler sounding "marine".

If, and when, we need positions to be filled, I can make a second character, possibly Ven's bro or sis (haven't decided just yet, incase positions do get filled)
