In the meantime, I'm going to go over everyone else's CS's and make sure I don't have any issues with them.

If I have any, I'll PM you privately and ask you to make some changes.

Good news everyone!

The positions are filled; now all that's left is for them to post their CS's and we can get moving.

When the IC goes up depends when the new CS's are in. If issues arise with theirs, then we're just going to start. The latest that we'll start is this weekend. Once we get rolling, I'm confident the RP itself will be significantly more time efficient.

That'll do, Holmi.

We're waiting on one more, and I'm going to send out the last PMs regarding CS corrections.

EDIT: Oh, uh, but he needs a name. Well, a name section, rather. Also age. Some of it looks a bit cut off, honestly.

Alrighty. We're nearing the beginning.

I'll be straight; you guys should have spread out your skills/character roles and nationalities. Many of you are combat roles who show up to the wedding. You (and your characters even more so) may regret that very soon.

Name: Augustus Wolff
Age: 34
Sex: Male
Kingdom/Homeland: Kingdom of Albany, Rhode Island
Appearance/Equipment: Augustus is a lean man of above-average height, with dark brown hair, bright green eyes, and the clear, fair skin of an aristocrat. His facial features are refined, with high cheekbones, a straight nose, and a proportionately defined jaw. Other than his healthy, attractive looks he appears nonthreatening, even somewhat diminutive in comparison to the average fighting build for most males his age.

He doesn't carry a whole lot of equipment due to his urban lifestyle in the capital of the Kingdom, though he does always have something on hand with which to write.
Skills:
Academic* - Because he was educated by magisters, Augustus has done his best to study as much literature, language, history, philosophy, etc. there is left in the known world. He is also versed in preserved technical knowledge, but moreso in theory than practice.
Speech/leadership – He is a skilled orator who can argue logically and fluently, and an ability to inspire and organize people.
memory - he possesses an extremely adept memory, capable of quickly memorizing and retaining finite details.
invention - due to all of his acquired knowledge, he constantly has ideas for improvements and gadgets.
Horseback riding - Since horseback is the default mode of travel, and because his family owned many horses, he has the ability to saddle and ride them.
Sport hunting – As a man of noble stock, he would have some basic knowledge of hunting small birds and mammals, and he is capable of fishing to get by.

Personality: Augustus carries all the hallmarks of a privileged upbringing, though not without a sense of humility. He values the pursuit of knowledge and the understanding of interpersonal communication, and is guided by his own sense of right and wrong, regardless of current laws. He is charismatic, personable, unassuming, and he even comes off earnest a good deal of the time. Underneath this good nature is the motivated son of a disgraced family and of a man who has lost his home. He knows how to use his strengths to convince and manipulate people, and he is capable of decisions in grey areas—the only areas he believes truly exist. He prides himself on reading body language, understanding human nature, and predicting the decisions of people around him—though this isn't a flawless ability.
History: As a member of one of the more illustrious families in the Kingdom of Albany, August grew up with a standard of living most people would not be familiar with. This, however didn't stop him from spending most of his early life outdoors, exploring the vast coastal holdings of his family's estate in the Rhode Island area. As a younger son with a keen intellect and notable memory, he was an easy choice to be educated by the Magisters. Though he wouldn't inherit his family lands, he might grow up to be a notable scholar, and perhaps even council the next heir to the Kingdom. The Wolff family was once among those most favored by the old king and enjoyed enormous influence in court and in the Kingdom at large. With the absence of the king, they fell into disfavor with the Dowager, effectively becoming exiled from court. This meant the loss of enormous wealth, the degradation of the estate, and the early death of Augustus' father—perhaps from stress, or simply from the shame of his family's losses. His mother, who had long suffered weak health, succumbed soon after. His siblings were left to pick up the pieces, and to say their effort was lacking would have been an understatement. Along with his family, the common folk who relied upon the patronage and management that the Wolff family offered, began to suffer as well. Without a governing force, the towns and villages lost the rule of law that allowed them to prosper, and life became that much more miserable. Augustus only learned of this through inconsistent correspondences with his family, discovering the true extent of their fate upon his completion of training and return home. All this shook him to his core. The world he came from, which he had assumed would always be waiting for him, was gone simply because of a regime change, or even, in his mind, because of the neglect of the old king. From that day forward, Augustus used all of his learning and experience to craft an agenda of resurgence. His first step was to enter the political game in the capital. His training afforded him the right avenue because those of his discipline were often seen as wise, dependable, and outside of the machinations of power. His first years in the capital were difficult, tedious, and often unrewarding. He had a long way to go before he ranked among the most respected advisors, and to overcome the stigma of his family name. He spent many years building contacts, mapping the factions and hierarchy of the court, building credibility, and simply biding his time.

And that's everybody.

I'll have an IC up quite soon; if it reaches the weekend, then I'll definitely get it done over the weekend. I simply ask patience, as I'm going to have to place you all in different positions and provide different settings for all of you to enjoy. We'll begin shortly.

Awesome.

Everyone should be set, corrections are over, and I'm working on an IC as we speak. Expect the first post to be up in the IC during the weekend at the latest; once settings and circumstances are established, things will move quickly. Posts will become significantly shorter after establishing a scene (especially for me), and I'll allow everyone to progress at their own pace (and that'll be made much more possible when everyone is split up).

I'm as excited as you guys are.

Working on the IC now.

Holmi, your chunk will come in late; I have to set a completely new scene for you. Everyone else's information will be up shortly, ideally within the hour. I was supposed to do something else today, and I haven't heard anything else about it, so I don't know if it's still going to happen. Hopefully I can finish all of this and get it up before being interrupted.

I was just wondering, do I have to worry about reading anything "secret"—such as in your hiders in the first IC post—in other players' posts?

The only time you'll have to open a hider is for my posts. No one else should be using hiders.
