Skills: Battle Healing - Recover low amounts of HP over time during battle. It can be leveled up by constantly getting one's HP into the red zone.
Sprint - This skill is both an activatable burst of speed, and a passive increase in the player's effectiveness at dodging strikes.
Parry - The ability to use an attack to block an opposing strike. Maximum level makes it possible to destroy an item currently at less than half of the maximum durability; anything with a durability above that will not be damaged.
Medicine Mixing - The effectiveness with which a player can craft potions and poison weapons.
Detection - A sixth sense, allowing the player to notice enemies and secrets from a distance. Greater mastery allows detection of monsters in <<Hiding>> status and primitive booby traps, such as snares and pitfalls.
Personality: Overall, Yukimura could be considered a decent young man, if a bit abrasive. Though he's often called blunt and overly-direct, but it's mostly due to the fact that he absolutely
hates unnecessary wastes of time like beating around the bush or excessive pleasantries. He's usually good-natured, and thinks that there's no good reason to be impolite without provocation. He's very patient in the 'can deal with shenanigans'-sense, and does his best to understand and get along with others. Provided that they're not, say, trying to murder green players or anything like that. However, he often lashes out when he can't comprehend somebody's behavior.
Yukimura is fearless and always puts others before himself, even after learning about the death game. Unfortunately, this isn't at all because he's a good person. His absolute devotion to his warped values could be considered
very fatalistic individual at best, and could be considered downright
suicidal at worst. He always ruthlessly prioritizes the needs of other people because he believes that, because of his inevitable fate, his life's not nearly worth as much as other humans'. As such, he can't understand the idea of someone else allowing themselves to be hurt for his sake, and often makes jokes at his own expense.
On an off-note, he
really doesn't like his embarrassing name and does a lot of mental complaining. Hey, just because he's willing to do a few favors, doesn't mean he has to like cleaning out your toilet.
Short Bio: Yukimura is a Beater hailing from Japan. He's a rather average Japanese young man on all accounts, except for his hair color and the fact that he's slowly dying from a heart disease that's currently untreatable with today's medicine. It has yet to leave him permanently hospital-ridden, though it's been projected that he'll only be able to live up to somewhere in his 40's. As he's been in and out of the hospital his entire life, Yuki had picked up gaming as his pastime of choice. Surprisingly enough, he was very naturally talented at the art and, when combined with his absurdly large loads of free time, refined that talent to his utmost limits.
Yukimura competed in many gaming tournaments, and soon became known to many gamers under the username 'Ikusaba'. Prior to the launch of Sword Art's closed beta, he participated in a RTS gaming tournament in which the first prize was a guaranteed slot as a tester. Naturally he was the winner of the aforementioned tournament, and got his spot. Finally, summer passes, and the game is officially launched. Unfortunately, what was to be cause for celebration soon became something much worse...
