Kai had been eyeing the girl whom he’d hauled up on deck, making sure she didn’t make any sudden moves. His gaze hardened as the girl began to babble about why she was there, who she was, what she could offer them and a plethora of other information “By the powers we don’t need a biography” Kai mumbled to himself as the girl kept talking. For him, it didn’t matter who she was, if she wanted to sail with them, she should have spoken to them openly. Instead, she chose to hide herself away in their ship like a common rat. His eyes flashed to Luro for a moment as he was mentioned and used as a threat. It didn’t matter though, he was more than happy to “Tend” to the stowaway if that was what needed to be done.

Before he could act on anything however, the Captain announced that there was an enemy ship approaching them. He hurried to the side of the Pearl in order to get a look at them. A slave ship eh? He envied this opportunity, any time one gets the chance to free slaves it means potential crewmates. He paused for a moment before cursing, that wasn’t his call anymore, he must remember.

He heard several cannons go off, some of which came from their ship. Kai’s eyes widened with worry as he watched the cannonballs that Nolan had fired came close to the ship “Oi!” He shouted “Lads, if you’re going to fire the cannons, I recommend you aim at their masts and rigging only!” He said as he moved to the main part of the deck “She’s a slave ship aye? We don’t want to kill all of them too!” He announced before a harpoon landed in the Pearl, latching the two ships together. He drew his swords again and watched the enemy ship unblinkingly “I’ll deal with anyone you lot miss.” He said after hearing Ray. Let them try to take this ship and his crewmates, he would crush them all one by one.

Marcos awoke to the sounds of cannon fire and yelling, coming from outside of the hull of the ship. He awoke with a start, but was restrained by wraps around his wrists and ankles, bound up to a bunk. He looked around, seeing everyone else was in a startle as well from the sudden noises of battle. Either the ship was attacking someone, or it was being attacked itself. Either way, cannonballs were flying. As roundshot flew across the water, the hull was hit, making a couple of large impact holes, and a lot of debris. One of the large iron projectiles barely missed Marcos, but had hit his bunk, as well as other enslaved people. It was a very brutal sight, watching others get mauled by roundshot, not being able to do anything.

As his bunk was hit, the posts fell and he fell through the thin boarding, hitting the floor of the room. Marcos was not able to get up, so he just lie there, still bound up. And then, the ship started to tip. It tipped over because cannonballs had caused waves to hit the boat, causing it to rock back and forth. Marcos simply tumbled around as the boat rocked, sliding across the floor. Unfortunately, he slid to the edge of the flooring, faced with a hole in the hull of the ship. And, he was slowly sliding down. Before he was able to fall, the binding around his ankles got caught on the wood that was still intact. Marcos, now suspended upside-down, watched as the hull of another ship came closer and closer. He then came up with a spark of brilliancy.

He swung and twisted his body around, trying to loosen the wrappings around his feet, while wedging a piece of wood between the wrapping around his wrists. The wrapping around his wrists were the first to go. So, with his newly freed hands, he reached up and started to undo the wrapping around his ankles. Before he could untie it, though, some cargo had made it free and was speeding towards Marcos. He leaned backwards and barely missed being hit by the heavy cargo, but his feet were uncaught from the wood. Marcos braced himself as he hit the water.

After quickly gaining his orientation again, he would start moving, swimming upwards, to the surface. And, when he breached the surface, he found he was faced by the hull of the opposing ship. Either climb on, or sink, he thought. He chose to climb on, grabbing the wood lining of the hull and climbing upwards, holding on for dear life. When there was nowhere else to grab, he simply held on, not wanting to go back into the water and risk drowning, or recapture. Marcos was prepared to face the crew of the new ship, deducing that it was not a slave ship, at least.

Runa listened to the girl's rambling cries of forgiveness. It was obvious she was telling the truth, and before she had pleaded for mercy, the captain didn't plan on killing her.

"I'm counting it's alright to kill these guys and steal anything of value right captain?"

"You have my permission Luro." The ship drew closer and Runali walked up to their prisoner. Before she said anything, Luro basically said it all for her. He was right, and Runali simply nodded her approval. The slave ship was a fairly large one, and the more help they had the merrier. So, why not force her to help? "Good idea Luro." She watched as the girl was given a weapon, carefully examining if she would plan to strike out. It would be an insane move, but they didn't know her that well, so it could have been possible. "I'll trust Luro's opinion. Besides, if you make the slightest mistake, they'll get to you before I will. Now I have other things to take care of, so you make you'd decision." Hearing Nolan call to her about the cannons, she nodded. "Fire away."

At this point, the ship was at their right side and already planning to board the Coral Pearl. Their enemies began crossing over and Runa jumped on the plank to block their paths. "I don't think so." The captain tested how well Nolan patched her up by jumping and flipping over one of the crew members before knocking his footing from under him so he fell into the water. There was a dull pain, but it was enough for her to ignore. She knocked a few more off the 'bridge' before grabbing one of the guns and shooting at the center. "Now... Where's the captain of this ship?"

Runali was met with various yells and weapons. "I'm guessing none of you are the captain of this ship. You all are wasting my time. There was a loud cracking sound behind her and the people trying to cross to the Coral Pearl fell in the ocean, along with the makeshift bridge. "Ha! It worked." When she shot the board before she jumped it had weakened it and as she expected they all tried to rush on. Some made it over, and others used the ropes to swing across.

"Hey! Kai, Luro find a way over and subdue these pirates. While we're at it, we might as well free all these poor people. Since we're going to tear the ship down." Hearing this, the others the others figured she was the captain and now Runali was ducking and dodging crew members to get below the deck.

A grin formed on Luro's face as he listened to Runali, and it only seemed to widened as she continued, though it mostly came from being able to let loose a little. His attention shot to Ray as he spoke to him and he watched Nolan making his way to the cannons, he looked at his rifle then over at the swivel gun before moving his gun to one hand and rubbing his chin with the other. He was already in his rifle range so did that mean he shouldn't use the swivel gun, no that didn't make any sense Ray wouldn't have said anything if that was the case. Looking over at the swivel gun the ship was getting closer, he shrugged and moved his rifle to his back before running over to it, thinking about it when was he going to get the chance to use the gun again? Knowing the chances were slim he wasn't about to pass up the opportunity while it was there, he promptly got to work tearing into the ship laughing loudly as he watched the crew scramble and move from the onslaught of attacks hitting them.
"Hahahahahaha this gun is amazing! Can I carry it around with me! Oh look he jumped off the ship that's so good hahaha! I may be in love with the person who put this on the Coral!"
Luro quickly moved to a cannon loading a grapeshot as he heard Ray once more, he glanced at Kai hearing his advice before nodding and aiming up fired the cannon, the shot slamming into the masts. Luro pumped his fists before his attention moved to captain who was taking care of the boarders, seeing the captain in action invigorated him and he was more than happy to comply with boarding the ship.
With Ray and Nolan still on the ship he knew the captain would be okay, and Kai was there too. He wasn't sure what the stowaway would do but the captain could handle herself, she showed that more than once.
"I'm going over Kai! They'll pay for putting a harpoon in the Coral Pearl. Especially since I have to fix that later!"
Luro gave Kai a two finger salute before climbing up to where the harpoon was lodged, he tugged on the rope a bit before sighing a little, it was not going to be fun getting it out of there later but for now it would serve as a way across.
He figured swinging across would be useful but it took a long time for him to set those ropes up for the possibility of boarding, he wasn't going to use them for anything other than another pirate ship, though he supposed being picky right now really wasn't going to solve anything but he was already climbing across so it was too late now.
"Just going to say subdue means they can't fight back. Ah if they die then they can't fight back so that works."

Luro landed on the deck with a roll and pulled his rifle out staggering a little before coming a face to face with a few of the crew who already had their swords drawn.
"Alright then so you guys are alright if I kill you right? No hard feelings and all that?"
The pirates ran at him with a yell and Luro shrugged taking that as consent before raising his gun, he jumped back dodging one of the cutlass before slamming the butt of his gun into the pirates face sending him reeling back. He ran forward as the pirate moved to attack again only to have Luro grab his shirt, bringing his head forward Luro headbutted the pirate and grabbing his gun shot another pirate closing on him. Turning the gun over his hand holding the barrel he quickly brought the butt across the face of a pirate advancing on his left sending him to the ground, he dropped the gun with a whistle and grabbed the gun of the pirate on the ground before shooting him with it throwing it aside afterwards.
He noticed something out of the corner of his eye and raised his gun as a cutlass almost hit him, he grinned seeing he was able to block the attack the sword currently against his gun. He quickly moved his hands to both sides of his gun and spun it in a full circle disarming the assailant before catching it and bringing it against his face sending him to the ground. He slammed the gun against his face again making sure he wasn't going to get back up before he remembered he was on the ship for another reason than necessary violence.
"Wait wasn't I supposed to be doing something? Oh right the slaves!" Luro exclaimed before running towards the door to the lower deck.
A pirate slammed into Luro before he could make it knocking him into the side of the ship, ignoring the pain from getting slammed against the ship he brought his knee into the man's stomach before grabbing him and throwing him overboard.
With a sigh he turned to go back below deck but stopped as he noticed someone holding onto the Coral Pearl below, he arched a brow at it but figured he should say something since he was holding on for dear life.
"Guys!" Luro yelled. "Someone holding onto the Coral below! He doesn't look like one of these guys so he may be one of the slaves!"
Luro started to say something else but tapped a fist against his skull remembering he was going below deck, he ran towards the door throwing it open and going downstairs. Unfortunately there were members below deck as well but he kind of expected it as he narrowly dodged a cutlass aimed at his neck.
He slammed his gun into the stomach of one of the members before rolling over his back, he grabbed the groaning man and quickly raised his body as another slaver stabbed at him. Luro grinned as the sword penetrated the man before he pushed the now dead man towards the other, the attacker was forced to throw his friend aside which gave Luro enough time to slam the butt of the gun into the man's neck sending him to the ground in pain.
"Oh man that looks painful," Luro said grabbing the man's pistol. "Sorry about that kinda got caught in the moment."
He raised the gun and shot the man in the skull before offering a firm nod and a small smile.
"There we go all better," he said throwing the gun aside and walking further into it taking a moment for him to find where the slaves were being kept.

Regrettably when he found them he noticed that one of their shots had hit a few, he lowered his head for a moment bringing a fist to his chest as a silent apology before raising his head the smile returning to his face.
"Lasses and lads! The StarDusk pirates are here to save you and since you probably have nothing of worth on you I won't be robbing you either! Hugs are acceptable forms of compensation of course, kisses from lasses are fine too."
Luro knelt down at one of the cages and took out a lockpick before sticking it into the keyhole.
"It's a good thing I keep these on me since I got locked up....give me a sec to get this going. How are you guys doing by the way? Aside from the whole being prisoners thing?"
Luro took care of one lock not really getting a response to his question and opened the cage before moving over to the next one going to remove it, in his focus he didn't notice the man approaching him from the shadows, a small hum coming from him as he messed with the tumblers.
"There's probably a smaller boat on here somewhere, you guys could use that to get away."

Danny stared at the people gathered, most more than a foot taller than her, eyes wider than she ever made them. She moved her unblinking stare to the biggest man as he and the captain noticed the other ship, announcing it was a slaver ship. She glanced around at the crew gathered, rubbing at her wrists. She still wasn't quite registering what was happening around her, but she backed away from the cutlass, realizing it was for her to fight with a second too late. Panicked, she scrambled up with it, nodding to show her understanding of the situation. Prove herself useful, protect the ship and show loyalty. She could do those things. Another man looked to her and commanded her to help with the cannons. Dropping her bag, Danny placed the cutlass into her belt, running to the cannons and, with a bit of difficulty, started to load cannons with the shots. She didn't know which shot from which, but she tried her best to sneak peeks at the others, or simply guess. Her head snapped to the side as the harpoon splintered the wood.

"captain, we'd better prepare for boarders. Load up the guns with grapeshot. We'll give these bastards a nasty surprise they'll never forget."

Danny glanced at him, then to the cannons and their shots and finally to the rope connecting the two ships. She smiled, sighing as if she knew what she was gonna do was stupid.
"Don't shoot me!" She shouted, moving above the rope and springing over the railing, letting herself fall. It wasn't far down until she gripped the rope, though, moving in such a way so her arms and legs were wrapped around it. She took a second more to gather both her strength and courage, before shimming her way across and onto the other ship's deck. She took another second to fumble the Cutlass out of her belt and sliced at someone with it, surprised and pleased with herself she managed so well with it. Danny continued to fight through the crowd, nimbly moving around in ways to evoke friendly fire, letting the crew take care of their own for her, as she wasn't as skilled as she would have liked to be with blades bigger than a dagger. The more she sliced at the men coming at her, the wider her grin got, until she started giggling. It was her first fight on the sea, and she could go for hours more if need be. She rammed the Cutlass forward into someone's abdomen and moved to pull it back, only to find it stuck. Her smile disappeared again as panic over took her face.
"No, no! Give it back!" She let go as another man swung at her arms, making a growling sound. She dropped to the deck as he swung again, causing the bigger man to trip over her. She sucked in a breath and stood up as the boat lurched from being hit by the pirate ship's cannons. Danny's eyes searched the bodies, but she couldn't spot the cutlass.
"Dammit no! I need to give that back!" She muttered, frantically moving past the men until she spotted someone familiar, the giant man who untied her. He was going under deck, and it clicked in her head that he would go to save the slaves onboard. Others were heading down after him, none looking to friendly. Danny made a yelping noise as she move out of the way just in time to avoid being impaled on a sword. Instinctively, she twisted, using the momentum to bring her fist towards her victim faster. Danny had expected to connect with his chest, but instead her fist drove itself into the softer flesh of the stomach. Without hesitating, as the man moved forward in surprise from the blow, Danny gripped his arm and hand above the sword, continuing to move forward to bite the man's wrist. As she did, he howled out in pain and let the sword go, allowing Danny to pry it completely from his hands, dislodging herself from him and swinging the blade more like a child would a stick to connect it to the man's shoulder. Stumbling back, Danny sucked in a breath, regaining her footing from the attack.

Pirate after pirate, Kai cut the ropes with which the enemies were using to swing across to their ship one by one sending them into the sea. He heard the blast of the swivel gun and heard Luro ranting and raving about how it was the best thing ever. True, he thought, the swivel gun was fun to use, however, he much preferred to get up close and personal with the people he killed.

He heard the captain order Luro and himself to throw themselves into the wall of guns, knives, swords, cannons and pirates that was the enemy ship… “Aye Captain, Aye!” He responded. Kai paused for a moment, planning his route on board the ship and after a moment he had it. He looked to Luro, seeing his gesture. He grinned as he swept his hat from his head and sank into a low bow before placing back on his head and leaping off the side of the Coral. Fighting truly did make Kai feel more lighthearted to his allies he’d noticed. Using his swords, Kai stabbed into the side of the enemy ship and pulled himself up onto their main deck. Almost instantly he was assaulted by a pirate swinging a sword at him, he dodged and quickly dispatched the man by stabbing him through the stomach.

Kai caught sight of Luro as he made his way across, though admittedly it was a little hard to miss a small giant swinging on a rope. He grinned as he watched him spring into action, his watching was cut short by several more pirates who had decided that they would become martyrs today. He quickly dispatched the three who’d come at him when his keen eyes caught someone else coming across to the enemy ship. His eyebrow raised for a moment at the small figure “Oh… the storage rat has come to fight.” He said as he continued to cut down his enemies left and right.

He watched as Luro ran below deck, followed by some enemy pirates, and finally by the short one. He tried to make his way over to the door to help them, but was being bogged down with swordsmen. “Lads! You lot are only asking for trouble if you keep getting in my way.” He said as he kicked a man to the ground causing his crewmates to trip over him and fall, giving him a path ahead as he quickly strode over the still moving bodies of these clumsy bastards. “Oh sure…” Kai shouted to his crewmates who’d left him all alone “Leave ME to deal with all of these blasted knuckle dragging cack-handed deck apes!” He continued, falling back into his old captain lingo. Of course he wasn't angry that they'd left him with virtually an entire ship to cut down. Though they might have given him a little warning ahead of time or something.

The Coral Pearl

Ray's quick thinking and initiative helped Nolan keep himself calm. It was reassuring to know that some of the people were experienced and knew what they were doing. He turned to look Danni and gave her a reassuring smile, but before he knew it the girl left her own canon and began making her way towards the other ship. "Hey, be careful!" He knew Kai, Luro, and Ray could handle themselves, but the girl was even smaller than the captain and his older brother instincts began kicking in.

Nolan let out a sigh before a steely look crossed his face. He began loading the canons. "Firing in three--captain you might want to stand back a little." He aimed at the approaching ship. Kai was handling more than a handful of angry men on the deck while Luro began making his way below deck.

The cook aimed the canon at one of the more crowded parts on the deck and fired. It caused some of the slavers to fall overboard and a few that had approached his friends backed off. None of them wanted to get their heads blown off. He fired another round then moved away from the canon when he heard yells and the sound of thudding steps. A few of the slavers had actually managed to get on board. The captain was handling them, but she was injured and he didn't want her to push herself. "Captain! I'm coming." With a war cry that sounded rather silly he picked up a mop and charged straight at one of the slavers.

Nolan was in now way skilled with a weapon, but a man of 6'3 running at breakneck speed was a force to be reckoned with. He slammed the mop's handle right into the man's stomach and he let out a yelp before he fell overboard with a loud splash. Most of the slavers were focusing on Kai and the others who had ran onto the next ship so it was rather peaceful on the coral pearl. The cook peered over the railing only to see one of the slaves clinging to their ship.

His eyes widened. "Hang on! I'll get you something to grab onto." Nolan disappeared only to return with a flotation device attached to a rope. He tossed it down then motioned for Marcos to grab onto it. The man pulled his rifle out from its holster then began aiming at the enemy. He managed to shoot at two but made sure he only shot them in the leg. "Hurry, grab onto the rope!" Next to the railings they were pretty much exposed.

Ray emptied the cannons onto the slaver ship's deck and drew his rapier. "Time to repel boarders!" He climbed up onto the deck and began cutting his way through the slavers. None stood a chance against him and his deft strikes. He would slap away their clumsy swings with his thin blade and riposte, felling in single strikes. His arm behind his back, Ray began shouting lyrics over the din of battle.

"Here's a health to the king and lasting peace
To faction end, to wealth increase
Come let us drink while we have breath
For there's no drinking after death

And he that will this health deny
Down among the dead men
Down among the dead men
Down, down, down, down
Down among the dead men let him lie!"

He had slain a dozen-and-a-half before a lieutenant came forward. "Leave him," he barked. "He's mine." The lieutenant held an ornate saber, ivory handled and wickedly sharp. He twirled it with experienced ease and grinned at Ray, who simply bowed and took a duelist's stance. The slaver lieutenant lunged forward; Ray tried to parry, but found that the saber strikes were too heavy to simply be flicked away. Ray quickly found himself on the defensive, surrounded by a ragged circle of onlookers. Forced back by the vicious onslaught, he bumped into the opposite rail of the Coral Pearl. The lieutenant surged forward and brought down his saber on Ray, who, momentarily distracted by the railing, angled his parry poorly, resulting in his rapier getting sliced through. The lieutenant readied his killing blow, then widened his eyes in surprise.

Ray drew and fired his reserve derringer and took back the momentum, plunging the broken blade of his rapier into the man's neck. He seized the slain lieutenant's saber and charged into the shocked onlookers with a frenzy.

Ray was mad. He was covered in arterial spray, his clothes were now ruined, his favorite Lendrian steel rapier was broken and, worst of all, he was almost beaten by a filthy slaver. He only survived because he had cheated! His pride couldn't stand it, so he took out his frustrations on the unlucky sods who got in his way, cleaving through with his saber and stabbing and parrying with the broken remains of his rapier.

Marcos looked upwards as he watched the crew of one ship fight the crew of the other, people being shot, stabbed, and sliced. Shrapnel would be flung his way from time to time at the destroyed masts. Still, he didn't let go. Even when embers where flung his way and stung his body. The heat and stinging wasn't unbearable to him anymore. He'd felt it well enough before, many times over. One could tell from the brandings all over his body. A slave was branded in the same was farm animals were. Get a hot poker with the slaver's insignia on it, heat it up until it glowed reddish orange, and drive it onto the body. The pain was always excruciating. Marcos lost count of how many times his previous brands have been slashed and new ones were placed in a different area.

Marcos quickly looked up to see a face peering right back down at him. It was not an angry, superior face. It was friendly. He was friendly enough; he was friendlier than the slavers, anyways. This was all he needed to trust the person. He grabbed onto the floatation device and climbed up with only his arms, having a built body from a life of slavery. He climbed over the railing and made it aboard, falling face-first onto the deck, before rolling over and looking up, breathing heavily. Marcos looked up to the man who helped him and said, "Thank you." After a moment, he made the decision to help. He tugged the bindings off of his feet and stood, seeing both crews trying to cross to the other ship. He would stay on the ship and help.

Marcos would fight the crew of the opposing ship that came aboard, grabbing them by the clothes and throwing them overboard, or simply just throwing punches at them. It seemed effective on the few that managed to jump the gap across, there were not many people that came aboard. And luckily, they were lightly armed. A few of them recognized him as a slave from their ship, and said that a slave had escaped, and others may be as well. To this, Marcos just readied his fists for more fighting. He wasn't about to go back to slavery without feeding the slavers their own teeth. Whatever teeth they had left in their ugly gobs, anyways.

"Sir! The pirates have taken out a lot of our crew! One has managed to start freeing the slaves!"

There was a slam on the desk and the man reporting froze. "How many are out there?!" The captain's fists created dents in the desk. The next few words only made him fume and throw the desk aside. "HOW CAN 6 PIRATES BE ADVANCING OVER AN ENTIRE SHIP!?" The messenger shrank back some as the captain stood, grabbing his sword and gun. The reason they counted six was because Dani had been counted as a pirate. Of course the didn't know she was fighting for her own life.

"Have all of the crew focus on rounding up our prisoners! We can't sell what we don't have!" The man stomped out of his quarters.

"Aye aye Captain Pars!" The messenger ran off to alert the others.

- - -

Down below deck at the very bottom where Luro was freeing slaves, a few of them ran up to hug him, all of the others praising him as well. "Thank you, thank you!"

"I never thought a pirate would be the one to save us!"

"You have our eternal debt!"

"You're such a brave young man!"

There were more praises like that, although Luro didn't get the kisses he asked for. One older male whistled out to them. "Come on! There are a few small boats on the sides of the ship! We can escape with those!"

"What about our babies!?"

One woman nearest Luro looked at him frantically. "Those evil men took our children and put them somewhere on the ship!" It was a rather large ship- almost three times as big as Coral so that would make finding them a lot more difficult. "Please! Help us!"

- - - -

"Hm, nope. Not here. . . Nope. What about this- Definitely not it!" Runa was walking around the large ship, opening doors to figure out what would be useful- and where on earth the captain of the ship was. The person had to be somewhere! The latest door she opened was filled with angry chefs. When she slammed the door shut, the sound of various knives hit the door. "I'd rather not become the next entrée..."

Runa was maneuvering on top of the beams that were holding the ceiling in place. There was enough space for her to sit on them and move around. After the fifth door, she hooked her legs on the beam she was sitting on to be upside down near the door.

She was not expecting to see a little more than a dozen pair of large eyes staring at her. "I'm going to guess you guys don't belong here. . ." One of the older children, probably around twelve stood as the spokesperson.

"We were separated from our parents. They are somewhere else on the ship! Can you help us?!" Well obviously Runa couldn't just leave them to perish. She flipped off the beam and jumped down.

"Alright kiddies. Grab a buddy and follow me! Stay close and keep your heads low." They were pretty good listeners. The older ones grabbed younger kids and Runa ended up holding...a baby- well a toddler. "To think I'd be put on babysitting duty. I am the captain. There could be an important fight and here I am..." She heard the sound of footsteps, and led them off in a different direction.

All of the pirates fighting Kai and Danny retreated and the ones attacking Ray had stopped. All of them ran below deck to stop Luro and Runali from escaping with the prisoners.

But meanwhile, Captain Pars had made his way onto the main deck with a set of guns on his back and a cutlass on his side. There were a few lieutenants behind him- four to be exact-. "You all are no doubt the dirty pirates who are attacking my ship. . . I run a good business here you know. And you're ruinin' that." He looked between the ones on the main deck. Picking out Kai, he pointed the cutlass at him. "You're the captain? Your crew can watch you die. And then they'll replace the lost slaves."

With a new sword, Danny continued on her slashing spree, twisting dodging and finding impossible holes in attacks to avoid being hit. She found herself set away from any others, having flipped a man over the ship’s railing. She looked around before her eyes caught one of the pirates she vaguely remembered from the ship. Her eyes widened with admiration and awe as she saw how effortlessly he sliced through men, dropping them faster than she could ever hope to. In her distracted stare, another slaver noticed her, and having lost his own blade, went after hers. He gripped some wood, broken from the mast and aimed for her elbow, but with Danny’s movements, barely hit her hand. The tiny girl growled in frustration as the sword she had gathered was knocked from her, ignoring the sharp pain from the contact. She dived for the blade, but ended up with a sore stomach and a view of it falling off deck. Pressing her lips together, she glanced back and straightened her leg towards the slaver coming at her, feeling the knee under her bare foot crack. His body hit the floor heavily as he cried out in pain, gripping at his knee.
“Can a girl not keep her blade around here?” she questioned, standing up and brushing her hands off, using her feet to roll the man towards a hole in the railing and off the deck. She looked around, confused at the obviously less slavers on deck. Blinking, she remembered the tall man headed below decks. They were probably after him, and he’d need help. She looked around; unable to find herself another blade, but instead the loose piece of wood the slaver attacked her with, around the size of a regular ball bat. With her new weapon, she went to go below decks, but was interrupted by another man with a load of guns strapped to his back, four more men behind him. “You all are no doubt the dirty pirates who are attacking my ship… I run a good business here you know. And you’re ruinin’ that.” He pointed his cutlass towards someone Danny vaguely remembered from the ship. “You’re the captain? Your crew can watch you die. And then they’ll replace the lost slaves.” Danny stared at the cutlass in his hand, his words bouncing though her ears. Almost immediately after he finished talking, Danny bounded forward, attacking the taller man from the side. Jumping to add extra force, she swung the wood at his arm, forcing him to drop his blade. Landing in front of the man, Danny gripped the handle of the fallen weapon as she kept rolling past. Stopping a few steps away, she stood up, dramatically pushing the fallen hair from her face and pointing the cutlass, just as he had done.
“Nay, you slobbering sack of clams. I am the captain of these pirates. And this good business you pathetic codfish claim to have is absolutely horrific, not to mention that your ship attacked mine first, so you can add lying and a dreadful fashion sense to your list of sins, you pile of thin worms. Go and fill another room in hell, I hear there’s one reserved for you.” The tiny thing grinned, pleased with herself and her lies. She was used to telling stories, as it was tradition on her island for women to tell the tales, so the boys would make Danny tell them stories, being the only girl around in the forest where they played.

Kai watched as steadily the herd of doomed pirates thinned, eventually he stood alone on deck with none but the stowaway. Eventually from within the ship emerged five men, one of which could only be the ship's captain. He smiled when he saw the swords, excellent they were swordsmen. His smile faltered when he saw the pistols, he couldn't let them draw those. He grinned wildly again however as the captain pointed at him with his sword and accused him of being the captain and ruining his operation. While the latter was true he wasn't the captain and wouldn't think of claiming such a thing.

Just as Kai was about to correct the captain, the stowaway leaped towards the man and somehow managed I wrestle his saber from him. His eyes widened in slight surprise at her sudden leap into action, but as she landed again near him and pointed the sword back at it's previous owner, his eyes began to darken once again. She was making a claim that she was the captain, this didn't make sense at all as Captain Runali was more than capable of fighting for herself. "Your ship attacked mine first..." Kai reflected on this statement and once she'd finished her little speech there was a flash of steel and a thud as Kai stabbed into the deck of the ship, mere centimeters from her leg. His eyes gazed at Danni unblinkingly as he spoke again with his dark cold tone "That's two now Bilge Rat, give me one more reason and I will personally cut your throat out." He warned before taking back his sword and looking to the other captain.

"I'm sorry but my captain is preoccupied destroying your 'business' but she need not sully her hands with your filth." Kai said, louder than he had before but still with that chillingly cold tone "Although, you don't need to worry, I'll be more than happy to kill you myself... Along with all of your little friends." He said as his gaze shifted to each officer in turn "Are you lot willing to risk your lives?" He asked as he adopted his fighting stance "You now have one last chance to walk away before I send your souls to Davy Jones' Locker ."

Luro made sure all the slaves were free before he relaxed, he looked around at the others and beamed a wide grin on his face as he rubbed the back of his head chuckling as he received praises, he wasn't really used to getting these so it made him a little happy to actually have a few come his way. Luro could get used to this but hearing the comment about being a pirate he was reminded that it wasn't going to happen very often, with that in mind it didn't hurt to enjoy this for a bit right? Taking a minute enjoy a bit of the 'compensation' especially from a few of the lasses he ended up turning his attention to one of the women when she mentioned something about babies. Seeing the look in the women's eyes he ruffled his hair and averted his gaze taking a moment to think, a small smile formed on his face as he looked back over at her.
"Well I guess I still have to steal things from the ship," Luro said nodding a few times. "Alright I'll find your kids so go ahead and head towards the lifeboat. If the slavers find you I don't think they'll be gentlemen. Go on I'll bring them to you."
He gave the woman a small push to get her moving before he turned around and started to move away, however a fist slammed into Luro's face sending him stumbling back, he grabbed a cage to keep from falling before straightening his body.
Luro grabbed his nose and made sure it wasn't broken as he met eyes with a man holding a scimitar, Luro looked at the shirtless man and the rippling muscles on his chest and arms.
"You wouldn't happen to know where the kids are would you?" Luro said taking his rifle off his back with a smile. "Also congratulations on...well...all of that."
The man yelled and rushed forward before swinging at Luro's neck causing him to duck and move away from him, the man spun the scimitar in his hand seeing his attacked missed and approached him.
"A simple no would have worked you know."
Luro lowered his body getting ready to move as the man ran forward again however with a small 'hup' he tossed his rifle at the man, his attacker caught the rifle and grinned at being handed a weapon but his smile quickly faded as Luro closed the distance and punched him in the face a grin on his own.
The man fell back and Luro caught his gun as he released it and hit the wall, Luro spun his gun around before slamming the butt into the man's skull with as much force as he could muster before backing away.
"Hahaha I can't believe you fell for that," Luro said before he noticed the keys on the man's waists. "...well that would have come in handy earlier."

Luro ran down the hallway having placed his rifle on his back as he stared looking for the children, he wasn't entirely sure where the look and he was pretty sure no one was going to tell him which made this all the more difficult. He crossed his arms as he slowed to a walk and made his way down another hallway, he could hear fighting from upstairs and voices seemed to be getting closer behind him. The others were still fighting upstairs and as much as he wanted to join them he couldn't just leave a bunch of kids on a ship like this, not that anyone would be okay on a ship like this but that was a whole other matter.
"Let's see if I was a kid on a slaver ship I would be.....here."
Luro opened a door only to see a bunch of barrels filled with what he assumed was food, he shrugged and closed the door before moving over the next one. He needed to keep moving and find the kids, and also steal anything of value but the kids came first, he didn't want to slow down as the voice he heard probably weren't friendly.
Luro opened another door before his eyes met the numerous gazes of a few wenches who looked over at him, he stared in silence his eyes moving from one to another before grinning at them, however Luro smiled faded to a small one and making a fist he looked down the hall then back into the room.
"Gotta find the kids," Luro said closing the door with a bit of hesitation. "Don't have time for that."
He started walking down the hallway but stopped and took a few steps back before opening the door again, he grinned hearing the screams from inside before he closed the door and continued down the hall extremely content.
He came to a stop as he noticed a bunch of slavers turn a corner, he met their gazes and for a moment there was silence between the two groups.
"Hey," Luro said raising his hand to them.
The men rushed forward yelling all kinds of obscenities as one raised a pistol and pointed it at him, Luro looked over and quickly opened a door causing the shot to hit it before he ran into the room, moving past more of the slavers supplies grabbing an apple in the process. He ran before running out the other door accidentally hitting one of the men in the face.
He ran down the hallway as the slavers made their way towards him, Luro grinned and ran down the hall as they chased after him.

Luro threw open a door only to see a bunch of knives stuck in it, he blinked a few times and looked into the room to see a kitchen, he noticed the chefs and smiled at them before he heard yelling and ran inside, he jumped over a counter as the slavers ran inside which made the chefs run back out.
Luro looked back at the slavers and figured he might want to start 'subduing' them now. He noticed pot of boiling water and went to pick it up only to quickly drop it back on the stove as he burned his hand. He blew on it and shook his hand as one of the slavers jumped over the counter and swung at him. Luro slammed his hand on the handle of the pot splashing the water on the man's face causing him to stumble back screaming.
"If it's any consent you could use a little color," Luro said before he slid over another counter as the others advanced. Luro grabbed a pan and brought it across the face of one of the slavers before tossing it aside.
"This is surprisingly fun," Luro said before turning and rolling over another counter as another ran after him, Luro quickly opened one of the cabinets hitting the man in the shin before uppercutting him with a rolling pin.
"Wait a second," Luro said taking his gun off his back and slamming it on his face. "Why was I using kitchen utensils?"
Luro turned and quickly opened the door before running outside turning to run down the hallway once more, the remaining slaver followed after him but came to a stop as the barrel of Luro's rifle met his gaze, he noticed the smile on Luro's face before he pulled the trigger.

Luro finished reloading his gun and put his rifle on his back before he hummed one of Ray's song to himself and continued through the ship, he came to a stop at one of the other doors before opening it. His eyes landed on what was inside and a wide smile found it's way onto his face before he walked into the room holding arms out, he didn't expect to see so much treasure in one place and completely unguarded as well. He spun around in a circle observing the marvelous site all around him laughing as he had it all to himself.
He reached forward and grabbed a bottle of rum as he noticed all the jugs and bottles surrounding him on all walls, he gave one more spin around with a grin before stopping and letting out a small sigh.
"Kids....gotta go find them," Luro said before quickly leaving the room slamming the door shut behind him. After a brief moment the door open and Luro reached in and grabbed one more bottle before it shut again.
"Kids are you in here!" Luro yelled. "Kids come out I'm here to take you back to your parents! I promise I'm not a bad guy! I mean it's hard to believe someone who says but I'm really not! I have rum too yum yum! Oh wait kids can't drink."
Luro made sure to mumble the last part to himself before he continued down the hall yelling.
"Actually forget that last part but really I'm here to take you back!"
Luro put one of the bottles of rum on a belt he happened to 'borrow' from one of the slavers before opening the other one, he took a quick swig and with a hum continued down the long hallway. "I'm on a slaver ship, drinking rum and looking for kids while everyone else is fighting on the top deck. Couldn't do something like this back home."

"DOWN among the DEAD MEN... LET... THEM... LIE!"

Ray had sufficiently become a bloody terror enough to scare the boarding slaver crewmen off of the Coral Pearl. He was no longer singing, but simply shouting the lyrics at the top of his lungs, striking with each emphatic word.

"Come back ye bloody barstards, I ain't finished with ye!" He howled to their collective backsides. He stopped and leaned on the mast, catching his breath. What was it that got me so worked up? Oh yeah, that bloody lieutenant singled me out and I had to shoot him in a sword duel. Ray's mouth curled in renewed anger. He made a fool of me, forcing me to break my unspoken honor.

Ray suddenly chuckled to himself, and then found himself in the paroxysms of hearty laughter. "By the arse of good King Lendrianos, that's a stupid thing to get pissed over," he said aloud. It wasn't even a real duel; we weren't using fair and matched weapons. Anyway, it got me this beauty. Ray wiped his new saber off on the shirt of a dead crewman he slew and admired the sword. Perfect balance, razor edge, its not Lendrian steel, but it may just be something better. So why was I so mad?

He did break my rapier. The same weapon I vowed to slay that bitch with. It was a stupid vow; I made it while drunk, while inflamed with passion and I'll probably never see her again. I hope I never see her again. But I made the vow nonetheless. Now....
Ray sheathed the hilt of his broken blade; the anger started welling inside of him.

Ray scavenged a brace of pistols from a dead crewman and howled across the deck as he started towards the slaver ship. "Honorless curs! I'll flay you alive and tan you hides for sails for making me forsake mine, you scum-sucking slaver filth!" Walking with purpose, he started singing again, this time a grim tune.

"There were three ravens sat on a tree,
Down a down, hey, down a down,
They were as black as they might be.
With a down,
The one of them said to his mate,
Where shall we our breakfast take?
With a down, derrie, derrie, derrie, down, down."

The Coral Pearl

Marcos fell face first onto the deck and Nolan scrambled to help him up. The cook's eyebrows furrowed in concern, this man wasn't in good condition, but then again, he had just gotten off a slave ship. Nolan was about to tell him to take it easy and get to the lifeboat below so he could join his companions, but Marcos had none of that. After mumbling a thank you, he headed right into the fray, pushing slavers overboard and throwing punches left and right.

Nolan bit back a retort. He didn't look like he was in a condition to be fighting, but there were so many enemies and they would definitely need all the help they could get. "Thanks and this might help!" He didn't have an extra sword but he grabbed at a thick piece of wood. "Catch," he tossed it at Marcos then watched as the captain ran onto the slave ship's deck. Nolan made his way towards Marcos, slamming the butt of his rifle at slavers who tried to get on board. At one point, one of the men managed to climb onto the ship, he was beaten and bloodied, but the determination in his eyes were unmistakable.

"I'll gut you two filthy rats here and now, none of you will live to see the morrow, I swear it!" He unsheathed a dagger, then with much vigor began slashing it around. Nolan staggered back, but felt a sharp sting on his cheek. "Quit yer dancing you pansy."

Nolan let out a gulp ducking as the knife sailed over his head. The cook mustered up all the courage he could and tackled the slaver with as much force as he could. He slammed the dazed man against the railing before shoving the slaver overboard. He huffed and puffed, glancing at Marcos as he did so. "That sure was something, are you alright?" Nolan placed a hand to his cheek and felt a warm liquid seep through his fingers, it was just a cut, he'd live.

At this point the slaves were getting on lifeboats. The deck of the slave ship was empty save for Kai, the stowaway girl, Ray and a couple of lieutenants. It was five against two, and while Kai was the greatest swordsman he had ever met and Ray a very good one, five against three was in no way a fair fight. He gave Marcos a thankful nod then pointed to the lifeboats below. "You're friends are getting ready to leave, if you stay on deck they might not notice you. Thank you for your help," He placed a hand on Marcos' shoulder then climbed onto one of the makeshift bridges. It wobbled a little beneath his weight but managed to get him onto the slave ship as well.

He made his way towards both Danni and Kai and listened as the latter began spewing out threats. He knew the man meant every word and hoped that the lieutenants would simply back off while they had the chance. His grip on his rifle tightened, he could hear his heart beating inside his chest. This was what a pirate's life was like and while it scared him, the thrill was oddly amazing.

Pars was caught off guard when a little munchkin stole his sword. "You little brat." He growled out, but was tossed another cutlass by one of the lieutenants. There were a few weapons scattered on the deck so it was easy to grab one. He didn't care for the interaction between the male and his little brat, but he was paying attention when he spoke. Pars gave a cackle as Kai threatened them.

Kai said "You now have one last chance to walk away before I send your souls to Davy Jones' Locker."

"Fool! You think you can stop us? What rock did you crawl from under? I'll give you the honor of dying by my hand. Captain Pars! Remember the name, it'll be the last thing you need to remember before your death." His new cutlass was pointed forward, he gestured it towards the male's friends and the four lieutenants split up to take on the rest of the crew. On the main deck [or on the other ship] lied: Kai, Danny, Nolan, and Ray. Two went after Danny since she was on the ship and she had disrespected the captain, and one went after Nolan and Ray. Each of them had a cutlass and two guns, which weapons they used first was undetermined until the fight began.

"Left, left, left right- sshh! To the wall! Heads down!" All the children rushed to the wall and ducked downwards. Runali took a step forward, forgetting that there was still a kid clinging to her neck. When she realized it, it was way too late to turn around. "Ah, crud. Hang on kid." She leaped and caught on to the beam above her and pulled herself up. The little kid giggled and put Runa in a choke hold. Before she could choke and comically gasp out, a few slavers ran to find the escapees.

"I think they went this way!"

"Hey kid, want to learn a quick lesson? Too bad you're going to learn one." She whispered and pointed to the group. "There are five guys in that group." She grinned. "Count with me now." The girl flipped, landing a kick to one of their faces. "That's one." She ducked as two swung punches. "Two!" The toddler laughed as she pressed down on the shoulder blade of one making him collapse. Two more went down and the toddler counted. "Three and. . . And four!" The last one was a bit of a challenge, more so because Runali had to make sure the kid on her back didn't fall.

Runali was hit in the gut and fell back, but rolled before the kid could get hurt. "You okay?" The kid poked her cheek and smiled when she nodded.

"Don't worry kid. I'm not going down that easy." He cheered as the next few hits ended up knocking the slaver out.

"You big meaner!" The toddler stuck his tongue at the unconscious male before once again putting Runali in a choke hold as she ran back to the other children.

"Alright kiddies! Let's go, let's go!" She marched ahead with the little group behind her. After a minute, it had gotten way too quiet, and she stood against the wall with kids following her lead. There was a humming sound nearing the corner and she signaled for them to silence. "The art of surprise." Just as she was sure the person was close, she turned the corner and went to knock him out with a kick- only to realize it was Luro. Thankfully she had enough control to stop the kick in mid air before she managed to knock out a crew mate... Though Luro was a giant so she would have probably knocked him down at the most.

"And that kids is...the art of surprise." She stood straight and looked up at Luro. "Fancy meeting you here Luro. Hey, you wouldn't happen to know the owners of these squirts would you?" She gestured for them to fall back into line with her.

The lifeboats were in place and some were already sailing off as fast as they could paddle. "Row! Row!"

"Come on! We can get away from them!"

"We're free!"

But. There were still two boats anticipating the return of their children. They ducked down at the sounds of fighting, trying to stay hidden. "We will wait five more minutes! It's too dangerous to stay!"

A few that were in the boat peeked to see the lieutenants each fighting one of those pirates, and the captain fighting a pirate as well, possibly the captain. If the guy wasn't careful, Pars could possibly beat him and reclaim his ship.

Marcos would catch the piece of wood thrown his way, examining it. It was a long, rod-like piece, something he could figure out a use for. He would then start thrusting the wooden rod at slavers trying to make it over to the ship. He then moved out of the way as one made it across and started swinging his knife wildly at both he and the other person. He watched as the male whom helped him overtook the slaver and threw him overboard. Marcos would nod and say, "Yes, it was. And, I'm fine."

When the male pointed out that the other slaves were getting on to lifeboats, he nodded. "I'm aware. There's nothing waiting for me if I go. Where would I go? I have no family, no friends, no possessions save for my own insides and my skin. Might as well make myself of use here and fully repay the favor of my freedom. It means more to me than you are aware of, when you helped me up. I don't plan on forgetting that. Thank you for that." With that, Marcos gave the male a smile. "My name is Marcos. Marcos Abeille."

Marcos would watch as Nolan made way across to the other ship, being confronted by slavers, and the captain. How Marcos hated them. He hated all slavers. He was being given an opportunity to exact his hatred right now. The captain was open. If he could make it across without drawing attention, he could get the captain. He would be able to kill him while the others made work of the other slavers. Hopefully, anyways. With that, Marcos found a dead slaver and searched him for a more lethal weapon. He found a carving knife. With the small knife in hand, he would make his way to the back of the pirate's ship, and prepare himself. The captain of the slaver ship was turned around, not noticing him. Marcos took the opportunity.

With a few moments, he found a long board and placed it between the two ships, making sure it was securely placed before crossing. He would keep his balance on the wooden board as best as he could, walking across to the other ship. After making it across, he readied the knife in his hand, the end of it pointing towards the captain. Marcos took a deep breath and start sprinting. In his dash, he would thrust the carving knife at the captain's upper back, hoping to stab Pars right then and there.

A flurry of expressions crossed Danny's face as she looked up at the man in anger that he blew her cover, until he nearly stabbed her leg. she didn't react, except to look up, trying to keep an expressionless face. She disappointed him, and in turn disappointing herself. Adventure was all she was looking for.
"Aye, sir." she said, turning back to the captain as threats were exchanged. Danny didn't move until two advanced on her, where she ran forward, allowing herself to drop and in turn, somersault past the men, completely dodging their swords. rolling back to her feet, she dodged to the side, adjusting her grip on the stolen cutlass and steadying herself, running her tongue over her bottom lip as the men turned, angered that a little girl got past them so easily. Danny's grin returned when one swoug at her again, and she backed up, letting out a short laugh.
"Come on, boys! you wouldn't hit a girl, now would ya?" she sucked in a breath as she was sent back by another swing, and felt her foot bounce against the railing. the men chuckled, thinking the had the girl trapped. taking in a breath, Danny stepped onto the railing and leaned forward, gripping one of the lieutenant shoulders, kicking off from her foothold and successfully flipping over the averaged sized man. with the force and weight of the girl on his shoulders, the surprised man fell back, landing heavily on the deck and while Danny, if a bit shakily, landed on her feet facing the other man. without hesitation, Danny rushed forward, over the fallen man and slammed her shoulder into the second one's stomach, using her own foot to pull his backwards, causing this one to flip over the railing, his knee catching Danny's elbow as he fell over, disarming her once again. hearing a grunt behind her, Danny drove her elbow back frantically, connecting with flesh. it didn't do much to the once fallen lieutenant, but it did give her enough time to scramble the blade back into her own hands and swing at him. He easily stopped it with his own blade, pulling a gun from his back and aiming, a grin across his face.
"Jesus, Mary and Joseph!" Danny bit her lip, twisting in the direction the man was pushing against her blade, reaching out and gripping his arm, pointing upwards as he pulled the trigger. her back now facing the man, Danny brought her foot back, connecting with his shin. while doing this, Danny pulled the arm she had a hold of forward, her head back. the force of the blow made her vision blur for a second, but she was sure she had connected with his chin. she turned, blinking as she did, and saw the man on his knees, gripping the bottom half of his face, blood dripping through his fingers as he grunted with pain. winching, Danny realized he had bit his tongue.
"Whats that? I can't hear you." She grinned, kneeling down to his level. "no, no you'll have to speak up. whats the matter, cat got your tongue?" gripping the back of his head, she forced it down as she brought her knee upwards. she fell back as she did it, but the Lieutenant stopped moving, laying face down. signing, Danny stood up, gripping the gun he dropped and moving to the side of the ship, laying on her stomach as she looked over the edge. the first lieutenant, the one she had flipped over the railing, was climbing up a rope, towards the deck. Danny had a side view of the man, as he was climbing up further down the railing.
"Tsk tsk. don't know when to give up, do you?" she smirked, carefully aiming the gun, and pulling the trigger. the kickback surprised the girl, but she did see the bullet dig its was into his leg, but the man kept a firm hold of the rope. scoffing, Danny stood up and calmly walked over to the rope, using the cutlass to cut it. "Opps, what a shame." she said, smiling as she heard the splash.

Luro hummed to himself as he finished off one of the bottles of rum and continued down the hallway putting a little skip in his walk as he walked the two pistols some slavers had 'lent' him dangled on his new belt. He was pretty sure he had gone over the entire layout of the ship at this point, yet he couldn't find the kids anywhere, he did find a few trinkets to take with him but he couldn't leave without the kids. That woman really wanted her kids back, though technically he was a pirate so he could have just kept walking and been well...piratical. Actually now that Luro thought about it that didn't make much sense, just because he was a pirate didn't mean he had to be a jerk, he had met plenty of pirates and some were nice, he still got robbed but they were nice about it. Besides it's thanks to him agreeing to find the kids that he found rum so that was a good thing.

Luro gave a firm nod as he turned the corner still humming to himself, freedom was the most important thing about being a pirate and Luro made sure to remember that as he noticed a foot flying at his face. His eyes widened and he instinctively started to lean back but he noticed the attacker and grinned seeing it was Runali thankful she stopped. He tilted his head seeing the toddler around her neck before he listened to her mention the kids, which he looked past her arching his brows seeing the small group. He also noticed the slavers currently unconscious on the floor and gave a small nod before looking back at Runali.
"I'll admit I've never been happier to have a lass attack me....well again," Luro said chuckling a little. "Normally I avoid any lasses with children but I'll make an exception for you captain since you just helped me out."
Luro pointed over his shoulder with his free hand before he responded to her question.
"I freed the parents of the kids earlier and they asked me to come look for them. Well after the whole praise thing, with hugs and stuff but that's another matter we can discuss later in detail."
Luro made sure to be ready to adjust his words since kids were nearby, he couldn't go into explicit detail on what he came through, kids were impressionable after all.
"They went to the lifeboats on the side of the ship, they're still waiting there so we should hurry before they're found out. The good news is I've kill-" Luro cut himself off looking at the kids remembering to adjust his words. "maim....shot in the fa.....put to sleep all the slavers back there so it's safe."
Yelling came from the hallway Luro just came from causing him to ruffle his hair with a chuckle and hold up a finger to Runali before turning the empty bottle in his hand holding it by the neck. He turned the corner and the sound of the bottle breaking came just before a man's groan, followed by a few other groans before the top half of his body fell around the corner. He let out a low moan as his body was slowly pulled back into the hallway out of sight, a door opened and the body was clearly tossed into whatever room was nearby before Luro shut the door and walked back around the corner dusting his hands off.
He grabbed the other rum bottle from his belt and opened it before grinning and stepping to the side.
"Let's head to the lifeboats captain we gotta get this kids to their parents, I think everyone's fighting upstairs and we're missing out, I'll watch the back. Much as I like kids we gotta get them back to their parents, you can depend on me to watch your rear."
Luro made a fist and nodded fired up about guard duty but something clicked and he brought a hand to his chin before waving a hand in front of his face shaking his head.
"I mean your stern is safe with me. Your behind, general back area...hmm...the area that is not in front of you. There we go I knew I'd find the right one, Let's hurry I gotta investigate some rooms on the ship later...once we take care of everything and eviscera....slaugt-subdue the captain and throw his he- hat overboard."

The Coral Pearl

The captain spewed out even more threats before commanding his Lieutenants to split up.

One, a tall man with the build of rock began charging towards both Nolan and Ray. The cook spent a good few moments gaping before the cogs and gears in his head finally began to work. He scrambled back, picking up a fallen cutlass and raising it just in time to block one of the man's blows. There was the sound of steel clashing with steel and a sharp pain shot throughout Nolan's arms.

It had been a strong blow, and had he not blocked in time, he would have been sliced open.

Nolan pushed back with all his strength, adrenaline aiding him in battle. He felt jittery and ready to fight back, this wasn't just a fight for adventure or gold, but a fight to help save everyone who was in the same predicament as Marcos. With a grunt he pushed even harder and the lieutenant staggered back. "Ray, requesting backup!" He tackled the staggering man forward, knocking him into one of the railings with a satisfying thud.

"Get offa me ye dirty rat!" The man howled as his back connected with the railing.

Nolan grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and while the man had more muscle, Nolan was at least a head taller. "You will let this people go!" He hissed angrily. It wasn't like him at all to be aggressive, but this was for a good cause.

"I've seen men far more threatening than you, rat." The lieutenant kneed Nolan in the stomach, causing him to double over and gasp for air. Seeing that the cook was stunned, he threw a punch at the man's face, sending Nolan crashing onto the wooden floor. "If you're going to threaten people, make sure you can back up yer words, aye?" He pulled out his rifle and aimed it at the man's chest. "Send my regards to Davy Jones."
