"Don't be an assh! This bed was obviously made for two people!" Kaori snapped, grabbing Yomi by the collar and pulling him onto the comfy mattress. Her face was bright red from all the alcohol intake, but she looked completely indifferent about the whole 'Boy + Girl + Bed = ???' situation. "...Hey... You wanted to fight right? We could totally do that in here!" she thought out loud.

"There will be no bloodbaths in this building!" The manager's voice rang from further down the hall. How the hell did he hear them? ...Oh well, didn't matter.

"Meh~, maybe we could find something elsh to do until we pass out..." Kaori murmured, patting her finger against her cheek in thought. The obvious just didn't seem to cross her mind.

With the option of fighting or just messing around now off the table Yomi could only look at Kaori. His mind was everywhere. Literally... With everything that was happening, the immense amount of Alcohol in his system... It was a wonder he hadn't passed out. He turned to Kaori pulled her closer to him and turned her head to face him. He didn't say anything unable to properly formulate any of the words. Something in the back of his head seemed to be calling out to him not to do what he was about to do. But right now that same something was getting beaten to a bloody pulp by the alcohol. Without paying any attention to the consequences or how bad of a move this probably was... he kissed her. Yomi kissed Kaori. HE KISSED HER! And by the way this was going he didn't seem to be ready to stop at just a kiss.

"H.. Hey.. You're doin' it wrong, numbskull! Like this!" Kaori argued for no particular reason before they kissed again, more intimately. Her mind was absolutely warped right now, but she could make out a little of what was happening. Behind the drunk chick was a really pissed off and reluctant Kaori, but that voice of good sense was blurred out by the sakè intake...

Sure enough as the night was always destined to go, Kaori started dragging the sheets over herself and Yomi. If they were sober, it might be for warmth - they weren't that bothered about it. But when you add alcohol to the equation~... Oh, this was going to be hell in the morning, and not just because of the monster hangovers!

The night went on as it was meant to. How things were supposed to in a sense. Of course, the moment of "fun" would have to end eventually. And so as the night turned to day the moment of realization drew near. The two were now sleeping rather peacefully. The shade was open just enough so that a bit of light shined in and hit Yomi's face. He groaned softly and turned his arm stretching over... A body? "Huh?" He questioned as he opened his eyes to see who he was holding. What he saw he couldn't put into words. he couldn't tell if he could call it a glorious sight or a horrifying one. "AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!" He shouted as he rolled back towards his side and then off the bed dragging most of the blanket with him. Horrifying... That was the answer. Or was it? Most likely. Aside from the hangover and now realizing he'd slept with Kaori he was seriously confused. Was he supposed to be glad? Why would he be glad? No... This was bad. They were partners. They weren't supposed to cross this line. Right? Right?! RIGHT?!

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SCREAMING FOR!?" Kaori yelled, rolling over and suddenly coming face to face with Yomi, laying on the floor below her with a bewildered look on his face. And that was his arm that just slid away. And they were still under the sheets. And their clothes were thrown all over the room... Realization! "AAAAAAHHH!!" she joined Yomi in screaming again and quickly rolled back the other way, pulling most of the futon's sheets back from him. "WE DRANK TOO MUCH!"

...At least she didn't throw all the blame at Yomi for once~

"Ya think?!" Yomi said quickly as he scrambled to get at least his underwear on. he fell about three times in the process, but at least he got them on. The worst part was on top of realizing what he and Kaori had done he was freaking out... And he had the worst headache he could possibly imagine. "You know what? Maybe we didn't actually do it." He was in denial. You didn't get THAT drunk and go to a hotel with a girl as hot as Kaori and NOT do anything. "I mean... It's possible... Right? RIGHT?" This wasn't good. Who had seen them go into the hotel? Who would see them come out? Oh man they had a meeting with his supposed parents today... "Fuck..." He mumbled.

"How could we not have done anything!? This is exactly what it looks like!" Kaori muffled into the sheets, slowly grabbing each item of clothing thrown around the room without exposing anything. What a thing to wake up to... Damn it, she should have seen this coming and stopped Yomi drinking after the first two bottles of sake! Why in gods name did they end up drinking 5 each?! Kaori's head was pounding, and all this commotion wasn't helping anything.

"...Wait. Should we slip out undetected or something? What if someone sees?"

"You could have at least tried to help me in denying it." Yomi muttered as he too dressed. Though he was less cautious about what was shown or not once his underwear were on. Once he finished dressing he sighed listening to her. "At this point in our drunken stupor I'm positive we were seen entering. So would it really matter?" He facepalmed. This was such an idiot thing to do. But... Still... I'm not exactly unhappy about it. Yomi thought as he glanced at Kaori. After a few long seconds he noticed that he was staring and then shook his head which was now slightly red. "You know this is all your fault!" Yomi finally shouted at Kaori. He didn't know why he was shouting. He wasn't angry. His face was brighter red than it was seconds ago. Maybe he was just in denial over his feeling for Kaori.

"Hey, I didn't pick up the first drink! Don't try to pin this on me!" Kaori argued, but not loud enough so anyone outside the room could hear. Throwing the sheets to one side, she turned so her back was facing Yomi while she got dressed and tied her hair back up in the way it always was. Things were pretty silent until they were both ready to leave... As Kaori slotted that black-bladed sword of hers back in it's sheath, she paused and stared at it for a moment. Her heart felt light, her killer gaze had more or less disappeared over the space of the night. The samurai's weapon was made in jet black steel, and it didn't feel right carrying it anymore - that black soul. Still, it was her weapon. She'd just have to get another some time...

"Let's just.. try act normal. Alright? And if your parents really are the Shogun and his wife, ...they don't need to know."

"Well... Well nobody told you that you had to drink as many as..." Yomi stopped himself. This argument would end well. Specifically for him. It was always the guy's fault. And despite not really having much memory from the night before... He thought he might have been the one to make the first move. But he wouldn't admit that. Not even to himself. Still he listened to Kaori. "Right... normal..." He groaned with a sighed as he ran his fingered through his hair. He made sure to keep a hold of all his things. He peeked out into the hall a little unsure. Maybe there was another way out. He wasn't so sure. "Crap..." He said with a sigh. "Let's just hurry." He said as he continued to walk out the door and to the lobby. They'd be out soon and things would be back to normal. But was that was he really wanted?

"...One thing I can remember from it all? It was a pretty awesome night, regardless. That's something I'll admit," Kaori said, grinning as she slid the door open and began to leave. It was half way through the morning already, but that was still more than enough daylight for business. As if it was put there for the moment she walked outside, sakura petals blew around Kaori, landing in her hair and on her shoulders. For once the murderous chick actually looked pretty calm...

"Are we going back to the Citadel to talk to those two?" Kaori asked, staring up at the sky as the petals blew around above.

(It'll only be peaceful for one post though! Don't worry xD)

Yomi chuckled a bit. "Yeah... It was..." He had to agree. His cheeks were a light shade a red thinking about it. And his blush darkened when he saw the scene with the sakura petals. This can't be real... He thought to himself before shaking his head. He needed to regain his composure after all. Although he didn't think it would be a very easy task today. Still the red in his face was more or less gone. And they had business to attend to. "Yeah. We definitely should. It's important after all." He said regarding going to see THOSE two.

"I'm kinda happy you're gonna be 'just Yomi'. But these are the worst parents you could have importance-wise." Kaori chattered along as they started on their way towards that massive castle home of the Shogun and his staff. She wished it was back to how it was in Shizukesa... No complications, no Empire, no Shogunate. But time couldn't stand still, not as Western technology threatened to change the country. Now Yomi might be the lost heir to the Tokugawa line, and Kaori might as well be his bodyguard - damned if she was gonna let anyone else get their hands on him! ...Wait, where did that come from?

"To think a couple of weeks ago you were in training, and I was working directly for the Seigi Clan... Things changed so fast. Now we're in Edo, caught up in politics and war. Heh..." Kaori chuckled, nudging Yomi. "At least we're keeping it fun, huh?"

"Yeah. Just Yomi." He said calmly as he looked down for a moment contemplating the things that Kaori said. She was right. And if they were... Well... They were sure... He looked like the Shogun... There was really no denying it. Then he felt Kaori nudge him. "Hm?" He snapped out of it and then laughed. "Fun... Yeah... That's one word." He said calmly as he continued his walk with her. "Still. I'm not so sure I could take up my position as the shogun's son if I even am his son." Yomi said in a bit more of a serious tone.

"It should be your choice, it's your life," Kaori said, shrugging as they walked without interruption into the Citadel. The guards and the government men were already treating Yomi like a prince, assuming Kaori to be some kind of bodyguard or, ...nobody threatening to his security at least. "But the country expects you to be a Tokugawa and play that role as the Shogun's kid. I doubt they can force it on you, and even if they did I'd just beat 'em all up for you! ...It's all up to you in the end, huh? Either way, I'm standing with ya'."

Yomi chuckled a bit as they neared the Shogun's chamber. "When did you start saying all the right things?" He asked teasing her as usually she was the rough, insensitive type when it came to semi-emotional crap like this. "Well I guess it doesn't matter. Let just see how this plays out." He then said quickly changing the subject.

"Glad to see you back Yomi." Hiro, the shogun, said calmly as rose from his seat. Kasumi remained seated a calm smile on her face. "It's good to see you. Both of you." She said with a slight giggle as she looked over the two. "Um... Yeah... So... How are we going to know whether or not I'm really your son?" Yomi asked cutting to the chase. "Right... Well..." Hiro began calmly before glancing back at Kasumi who nodded.

(I have no idea what to do >_>
If this were modern we could do a blood test or something XD)

"They brought in an old friend for this task... A former Onmyouji, who served the Shogun's father, and his father before him. A senile, blind old fellow. Does he sound familiar to you, Yomi? Koizumi? A welcomingly familiar voice echoed from behind the two teenaged Samurai. Kaori froze on the spot for a moment and looked at Yomi with a big smile. "Oh yes... These two youngsters and I have already met, good Shogun."

Kaori span around on her heel to see him approaching, walking stick and all. But it wasn't really a walking stick - that thing hid the old man's katana in it, the top of the staff was actually a hilt, with the blade running into the staff like a sheath. He let Yomi use it to save Kaori from the Yakuza and their worthless guns back in Shizukesa. He was here, after they both saw the dojo destroyed by cannon fire. A miracle, really...

Yomi practically froze. Who wouldn't. He thought his master had... No... Obviously not. "I can't believe I actually doubted whether or not you had survived the attack on Shizukesa." He said as he turned to face his master. "Seriously... For a senile old man you really do get around, don'tcha." Yomi added making a point not to get all emotional and stuff. Though one might notice the happiness present in his expression.

"That's no way to speak to your elder's young man." Kasumi said in a stern tone. She seemed to be taking up the role of a mother despite not really having the proof. She just knew. She refused to believe Yomi could be anything other than her son. Hiro, of course, saw the resemblance and felt Yomi fit the bill as well. And there was no way he'd disagree with Kasumi. Still in this situation he couldn't let his emotions cloud his judgement. There was still a chance yomi wasn't their child.

"So old man. How are you gonna prove whether or not I'm the Shogun and his wife's child?" Yomi asked curiously. Even if she turned out to be his mother he couldn't just follow her every word. He was his own person.

"My ancient secrets, naturally," the old man replied immediately, and in the manner you'd expect a friendly old wizard to. The blind man stood up in front of Yomi and started feeling his facial features for some reason. "I will be honest, boy - I had my suspicions you were not of common blood. You told me your story, and how you'd been left with the short sword I assume you still carry. A peasant doesn't have a weapon unless entrusted to carry one by their lord. You were quite clearly born to be Samurai, Yomi."

Kaori rolled her eyes pridefully as the old man spoke. Magic didn't exist, right...? He would probably use some weird tricks and pass it off as the real thing. Besides, who needed magic when you were a talented warrior?

"Mm... Um... Yeah... I still have the it..." Yomi mumbled as the old man felt his face. Though he was shortly losing his patience. "But question... If you know magic..." He paused for a moment. It was the kind of pause you'd expect from someone who was skeptical of magic and ancient secrets."HOW COME YOU NEVER TAUGHT ME?!" He asked curious and excited. Obviously Yomi wasn't a skeptic. In fact his reaction was more that of a naive uneducated young man than the usual rebellious samurai with the attitude he usually was.

Hiro and Kasumi chuckled lightly. To them, the reaction of the young man who they had no doubt was their son was kind of cute. Though they did shake their heads a bit. They were happy... But they tried to contain in in case they did happen to be wrong. Which they weren't.
