"Huh? Oh, uh..." Kagetane began to say after he killed another creature. He looked at his menu.
"No, there isn't. That's a pretty big glitch right there." Kagetane said.

Pebbley opened his menu. "There should be... wait what?" He checked the main area, nothing was there, just an icon.

"I doubt it's a glitch. It's WAY too big of a system error." He rapidly jammed where the log out button was supposed to be. "Nope."

"You'd think with such stunning graphics and such they wouldn't have a problem like this..." She reopened her menu, yet it was the same. She tried calling a support member, yet they didn't pick up. "We can't get out of the game unless they fix it." She sat down in the grass, "What the heck." She said simply.

"Well, maybe we could get someone to take it off? It says in the manual that logs you out, right?" Pebbely falls on his back. "Ughhh!"

After a bit of pig killing. Defender finally leveled up to level 2, gaining some more hp and a bit of increase in his stats in fight. "Phew, after a bit of training, I feel much stronger and a big faster with my hands. I need a break." He open up the menu and went to system, where a log out button would be located. When looking for it, he noticed a missing button there. "Odd, the logout button is missing. Maybe we just need to spend more time here before it shows up." he wondered. "Doesn't matter. Guess i'll go kill more boars." he said while searching around.

"If you look at it another way, this place is so big it could very well be a glitch. It'd probably be easy to miss something in the coding." Kagetane said.

"Yeah, let's give it a half hour to hour, they'll probably fix it." He sighed. "I'm glad it's past any dinner times where I am."

The familiar beeping of machinery and the smell of antiseptic filled the air of Yukimura's hospital room as the sickly-looking young man in question lay in bed with the most bored expression on his face. His appointment a few minutes earlier had gone swimmingly, though as usual he was required to stay for an hour or two just in case of negative reactions to his treatments and other such things. He took his gaze off the TV playing a news report about a certain VRMMO game and glanced to the very bland-looking clock.

'T-minus 5 minutes 23 seconds until S.A.O. launch...'

The tension was practically killing him. As one of the 1000 <<Beta Testers>>, Yukimura had already gotten a taste of the vast, beautiful world of Sword Art Online. And, of course, learned his fair share of tricks. Fortunately he'd brought the NerveGear with him in his school bag... Wouldn't want to be left out of all the fun, after all.

'T-minus 2 minutes 12 seconds.'

Yukimura reached for his bag and removed the helmet before beginning the necessary preparations. The doctors wouldn't mind, and besides, his body would be rendered inert, so if they did need to do surgery and stuff, he'd be fine. He'd done it before, no big deal really.

'T-minus 10 seconds.'

Mentally ticking off the seconds, Yukimura placed the helmet upon his head and grinned. Sure, the devs usually changed things up after beta, but there was one fact that he knew for sure: this was going to be awesome.

"<<Link Start>>!"
Starting City and its surrounding areas were grand as ever. He moved his avatar's limbs to reorient himself. Even if they had the same body, the whole process was a tad disorienting. His avatar looked equally like and unlike himself at the same time. He was the same height and body type to improve compatibility (okay, so maybe he had added some more bulk here and there, but nobody could blame him for a bit of wish fulfillment), but the aesthetic appearance was quite different. Different and longer hairstyle, different eye color, so on so forth.
***

First item on the list: Level grinding. If you wanted to get anything done, you needed numbers, and to get numbers, you needed numbers. Specifically a different sort of number entirely, whether it be from equipment or levels. Killing off boars and wolves was fine, but the good stuff was in the outlying villages. Besides, the nearby areas would be hunted dry by the <<Newbies>>, so getting a head-start on the better areas would be necessary. He'd received a level up or two, and had been at the task for the past... ...What time was it?

"Hmm... Maybe I should check back at how I'm doing," the white-haired swordsman mumbled, sifting through his menu after seeing the time. "...What." It seemed that there was a distinct lack of a 'Log Off' button where it was supposed to be. "...Bug?" A bug wouldn't be unexpected, as it was day one and all, but the lack of a log off was probably something on the start of the list of 'shit to be fixed'.

"...Doctors won't mind, probably," Yukimura shrugged before unsheathing his blade and staring threateningly at a nearby beast, "More fun for me, at least."

Lily bit her bottom lips a bit worried about the whole log out thing. It did seem like a glitch but it was the first time that she has seen that. Yes she was a little nervous and all.

Suddenly all players were automatically teleported to the town of beginnings.

Lily looked around. "What the hell happened now? I didnt even use my crystal..."

Before facing his next boar. A quick light envelops him and teleports him to the town. What the...Why did I get teleported back here? He looked around to see he wasn't the only one being teleported here. A PSA? Maybe they'll discuss about why we don't have a logout button. This should be interesting. He stood there and just waited.

Suddenly, a flash of light and he was back in the plaza in the Starting City. For the second time today, Yukimura deadpanned: "What." It was very unexpected, and ended up having robbed him of some EXP from a kill. Oh well, hopefully this'd be addressing the little Log Off issue...

It seemed he wasn't the only one either, what with many others looking about in confusion.

Zillah was startled by the sudden change of surroundings. "A force teleport....that's not cool." She folded her arms over her chest and looked around "It looks like all 1000 players are here." She pushed her blue hair behind her shoulder and looked around

"Tch, forced teleport." Vindle said, obviously ticked off at it. He looked around noticing that all of the players may have actually been teleported here. A bug? No, this was no bug. It was planned.

A mirror appeared infront of each player. Then a huge monster like appeared. "Welcome. You guys are now going to be stuck in the game. No. There isnt no glitch, the log out button was takened away. So there wont be no leaving. Unless you guys die. But if you guys die here....you will die in the real world. In order for you to save yourself and others. It would be to beat the game. On the 100th floor. The final boss. When you kill it. You passed. And everyone who was alive gets to stay alive in realvlife. Everyone who was dead....well sorry. Goodluck." He dissapeared.

Lily grabbed the mirror and her whole body was sorrounded by a white light. Her appearence was now her real life form. Which it was still pink hair and long. HEr body was curvy and she just stood there looking around, scared. "This means...who...ever dies here.... dies in real life....!" She said to herself and looked at the mirror seeing her real life form. "What the?!"

Zillah looked around at people changing and before she knew what was happening she was enveloped by a white light. She became slightly shorter and her hair changed back to her natural black-blue hair with her natural eye color. Her body type stayed pretty much the same. She absorbed what the guy said with horror
"This isn't real" she whispered to herself. She turned to talk to Lily and received another giant shock. She Zillah staggered backward and had her hand over her mouth, "Oh my gosh, Lily....oh my gosh." Her eyes grew wide, "Elizabeth?" She whispered uncertainly.

You die in the game, you die in real life? Defender thought. Now THIS! Is a real man's challenge. Either die for real or leave the game like a noob. He liked the idea. The monsters will have to try their best to kill me because i'm pumped up now. He noticed himself changing. He looked at himself with a mirror and saw his real life self.

Hello handsome. These ladies are gonna love you. He didn't seem phased by the challenge the monster mentioned. He seemed rather excited. Guess this is a first for Bastion to be excited from a video game.

James entered his house from work, and checked his mail. Then he went and took a quick shower. After getting out of his shower, James made himself some food. When he was done eating, he placed his plate in the sink, and walked into his bedroom. James put on the NerveGear, since it was his first time using it he had to calibrate it, by touching himself all over. He then laid down on his bed, and said, "Link start." All of a sudden, random colors started zooming towards him. Then five circles appeared, one for each of his senses, followed by a language setting, and an account log in. And finally what James had been waiting for, Welcome to Sword Art Online! appeared. James, now called Rath, was finally in the world of Sword Art Online, Aincrad, the town of beginning to be specific, when he looked around, he seen other players having fun and talking. The smile on his face would have outdone the cheshire cat's smile. First thing he did was go to the shops to buy needed supplies. He also pick up an Argo's Strategy Guide: First Floor Boss edition, which he read it all as fast as he could. Then he went to fight some boars, and help other characters. After a while Rath tried to log out, but he couldn't find anywhere. He spent five minutes or so searching for it. Then he got forced teleported like everyone else in the game. "Wow that's big," said Rath when he seen Kayaba Akihiko. Rath listened to him. When Kayaba said that they were trapped in SAO until they clear Floor 100, Rath yelled, "Awesome." but when Kayaba said that when you died in the game, you died in real life as well. Rath said, "Okay that is not awesome." When Rath opened his inventory and clicked on the mirror, he was enveloped in the light like everyone else, except when the light went away he didn't look any different, but that's because he made his avatar look like himself.
