The island of Genosha is a peaceful place, a place of freedom for all sapient life, Mutant, non-mutant, even AI. We work together in peace, doing as we please, as long as we hurt no one else. Our laws are summarized by the old phrase "and harm ye none, do as ye please." As long as no one is hurt, and their rights are not infringed upon, no one cares what you do. The island nation was founded by Former President Magneto as a place where all people, regardless of species or race, could live in peace and freedom.
Not all mutants feel this way, though. "Professor X" and his "X-men" wage war against the humans. X, or Charles Xavier, believes that mutants are the superior beings, that the future belongs to them, and that the human race is holding them back from reaching their full potential. From his base somewhere in the Canadian Rockies (we're not sure exactly where) he sends out teams to attack the humans, to further his goal of a world free from humanity's corruption. These "X-men", people who either joined his cause freely, or were "persuaded" with the use of Xavier's telepathy, are the greatest threat to world peace.
Last month, President Hank McCoy and several prominent civilian leaders signed an agreement with the US and Canada, to assist and train their joint Mutant Crimes Division, under the Jurisdiction of Director Nick Fury, to combat and detain Mutant threats to the people of the US and Canada.In this RP Magneto is the good guy, and Xavier is the bad guy. The X-men generally consist of the standard ones, though many mutants chose to come to him of their own free will in order to fight back against the humans they hate. Genosha has a small military force which is generally only used to protect the people of Genosha, but because of the agreement it has sent it's best warriors to a base in NY to aid the MCD. Further security for the island is done by private security forces.

Powers: Telekinesis - Aurum is a powerful telekinetic, (characterised by a bright golden glow) he is able to telekinetically move, levitate, control, and manipulate solid matter, people, and inanimate objects with a mere thought. He can use this to various effects: He is able to fly, create small bright golden-colored telekinetic shields and barriers, unleash powerful blasts of golden telekinetic force and, freely control and manipulate several objects from a distance. Since his powers are mind-based, it means that if he's unable to concentrate or form a thought, he's unable to use his powers. This also means that most of his powers are controlled by his emotions and can often get out of hand if he gets angry enough, causing nearby objects to explode or random telekinetic bursts to happen, even sending things flying depending on how passionate he's feeling.
Special Abilities: Hamish is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant, though this is helped by his telekinetic abilities, which bolster his attacks, allowing him to hit far harder than he is actually capable of. In addition, Hamish enjoys physics and studies it in his spare time.

Personality: Hamish is a quiet individual and has a sarcastic sense of humour. Hailing from Scotland originally, he is rather gruff and has a slightly unapproachable demeanor which he devised to keep most people away. However to his friends and colleagues, he is completely loyal, much more open, friendly and kind.
History: Hamish's past is mostly unknown to him, he is unaware of anything before his 6th birthday. The last thing he can remember is arriving at the doorstep of his "Mother" After that he remembers everything clearly, growing up, going to school, the fights when he discovered his abilities and moving to Genosha and learning to control himself a little better.

However, the abilities are not completely nullified, but dampened to such a degree that is often seems like it. With focus and being stronger mentally than Null herself will cause her ability to be less effective. Such as in the case of the Phoenix, Alia would have no chance even making a dent in her power.
Special Abilities: Null is an accomplished marksman

Personality: Alia is loud and confident, she revels in the powerlessness she causes mutants to feel, and enjoys fighting both mutants and regular people. She would even fight an Inhuman or Morlock if she could find one.

History: For the first fourteen years of his life, things were normal for Damien. He was a normal teenager going to school, playing sports and spending times chasing after girls he could never hope to seduce. Several days after his fifteenth birthday Damien began to change, hearing voices clear as day when he was on his own. It didn't take him long to realise that it was his parents who to his shock were in a completely different part of the house. As the days passed he got more used to it and was able to block out the excess noise. However, during a moment when his father was telling him off, he turned to walk away and thinking every expletive under sun. His father grabbed hold of him and smacked his backside raw. After the event Damien realised he must have reversed what had been happening to him.

The weeks went by and Damien, although worried about the way mutants were being sought out within the UK, decided to confide in his closest friend. Isabelle was his own age and the two first spoke at a heavy metal concert even though they had been in the same class in school since they were kids. She was truly the best friend he had, more like a sister than anything else. With her help he soon mastered his telepathic abilities and was able to freely communicate and listen to whoever he wanted in his vicinity.

By time six months had passed things started to become very difficult. His skin began to harden and his body shape was beginning to change at a rapid rate. He tried to hide it as best he could but it wasn't long before the changes became clear from beneath baggy clothes and hoods. One night he snuck to Isabelles house and showed her what was happening. Appendages were beginning to form over his shoulders and the shape of his eyes was drastically different. She broke down and threw her arms around him before giving him a kiss on the cheek. She told him of a sanctuary on the island of Genosha where people were free to live as they pleased, mutants and humans alike. As he moved to say goodbye he felt his throat beginning to change and the words soon became gutteral growls. Using his telepathy he spoke to Isabelle but was soon stunned silent as she raised her hand, crafting a ball of electricity in it. She confessed that she had been afraid to admit to him of her own mutant powers and together they agreed that Genosha was the best bet. They both left heartfelt notes to their parents with explanations of why they were going with promises of letters.

As the years passed by the mutation took full hold of Damien and his human appearance disappeared behind a terrifying alien like appearance. He was however accepted into Genosha like everyone else, soon settling well with the other mutants who had severe visual mutations. Eventually after their twenty first birthdays, each was given the option to choose or be given an alias. Isabelle chose the name Arc which was apt given her almost Zeus like ability to throw bolts of electricity. Damien however was never good with naming things and was thus given the name Apex by one of the science officers. His natural abilities and adaptations had made him a dangerous predator and the scientist had spotted that.

Isabelle and Damien are still close, she opted for a role within the Genosha science division while Damien took a place within the military division.

Personality: With the loss of his vocal chords his personality is only ever transmitted across through his telepathic thoughts. Before his transformation he was often blunt and straight to the point and if his voice still remained, this would still be the case for the most part. Although he has softened to others as he has gotten older and shows greater empathy than he ever did before his mutation.

Yeah I realise, TK can get very op XD But he's not that powerful. Pretty average really. Just golden.

Personality: Is a nice person on the inside even if she doesn't show it all the time. She is very smart and prefers the use of logic over immediate action. She thinks things through with careful precision . She also is a quiet person preferring to stick to the background. But, if you get to know her and earn her trust you will have a loyal friend by your side.

History: Was raised in New York. Grew up with a loving mother and father. And a younger sister to look after. Her sister was a social butterfly. Could give you one smile and then you'd do anything for her. But, Kim was the exact opposite. She could be charming and was a real people person when she wanted to be.

But, she preferred reading and working with computer and technology. It was what she was good at. She didn't have many friends. Only a few she could gladly call best friends. Her life was all around pretty good. Until there was an attack on New York. Many people were injured and even killed...... her family was one of them.

She was hospitalized for only a few hours when the doctors noticed something was wrong. She had a second heart on the other side of her chest. The doctors were baffled at this. They wanted to keep her for further testing. She didn't care at all. Her family was dead due to the attack. Her healing capabilities saved her. She didn't want to be saved.

Then, she overheard the doctors talking about her sister. Wondering how she survived. Kim was shocked. Her sister survived? Kim escaped the hospital that night and has been searching for her sister ever since. And when she heard about Genosha she thought 'Why not?!'. Might as well do something useful while searching for her sister. And here she is

Sonokinesis- She can manipulate any sound. She cannot create sound out of nothing. Though speech, claps, foot steps, and similar are all within her capability to create just because she is matter.

Omnitone- She can manipulate pitch to any level. Currently though she has problems shifting tone mroe than two octave either direction.

Vertigo Inducement- Through the use of low frequency sounds she can cause intense vertigo This is a wide spread ability she can pulse and attempt to affect everything. but to turn it directional she must stand still and focus on it.

Sonokinetic Walls and blades- She can create forces of sound. The wall requires constant concentration but is very much as real as a real Brick Wall. The blades are basically just small vibrating pockets that surround her fists. the vibration makes edges of the just like a buzz saw.

Sonic Acceleration- She can travel at the speed of sound by amplifying the sound waves from her steps to launch her forward.

Echolocation- She can send otu sonic waves with her voice and recieve images of her surroundings.

Power Detection- Based off of her Echolocation power when she sends out a ping it comes back telling that someone is a Mutant. She cannot tell how powerful someone is but she does have an idea as to their what power, she can tell if the X-gene is dormant in the individual.

Personality: She is easily confused and assaulted on all sides by sounds as she must maintain a constant focus to keep her powers from acting upon the world around her accidently,

I had an idea for a secondary character, then realized I was basically copying River from Firefly. I'm working on another, but I'll post it here to let you guys approve it before I use it.
Of course, as many people as have signed up, I may just make it an NPC, or save it for another RP.

Ok, I'll type up the CS tonight. Warning, its at least 90% derivative, which I don't really like.

Powers: Internal cold fusion (keeps her cells at a constant much higher than normal energy level, increasing her body's natural abilities. Glows pink when fully charged.)

Endurance: Physical exertion saps her less. Running, and other lower level physical activity can be maintained for hours, but more intense activity saps her reserves faster.
Strength: Normally 5x normal for a person of her muscle mass, though she can make it go as high as 20x for short periods by forcing her body to burn through her energy reserves.
Speed: 2x normal, or 3x when she burns her reserves
Increased organ function: Cells purge toxins faster, making her difficult to poison.
Reflexes: Reaction times 1/2 normal, 1/3 when she burns her reserves.
Intelligence: Higher than normal, mostly used to improve battle strategies.
Burning palm: focuses her energy in her palm, damaging cells or equipment where she strikes. Can be released as a pulse to damage their cells, mostly the nervous system.

Family: William Striker (adopted father)
Special Abilities: Martial arts (specializes in taking down stronger opponents, which against normal enemies makes her devastating), Melee weapons training, highly accurate shot.
Personality: Cold, calculating.
History: At the age of 13, she was in an orphanage when Colonel Striker found her. Impressed by her endurance, her ran a few discrete tests and found out about her mutation. Within a matter of weeks he had adopted her and started her training within the weapon-X program. He hired a private tutor to teach her her school lessons, but after her school was over, he taught her to fight. With her abilities, she could undergo intense physical training for hours per day, and by her 15th birthday she could beat military special forces in unarmed combat. By sixteen, she was taking on dangerous mutants.
She is now Striker's bodyguard, though she leads combat forces against MCD targets when need be.
Other: Overuse of her powers poisons her, as the fusion process produces helium and organic toxins. Also, she can survive off of water and vitamins, if need be, as her mutation will make more than enough energy. Wears a cooling suit to keep her temperature down from excess heat produced when she extensively uses her powers.

Not as much of a ripoff as I thought it would be. Maybe I should make her psychic, and have her older brother looking for her?
