Welcome to London, you have been encircled in a forcefield around the entire city, there seems to be no contact from the outside and the city has fallen into anarchy, the power lines have cut off, the Underground has stopped (Well, in the way it used to work) and green plants are beginning to sprout and take over the city. It didn't help that people started developing superpowers. The city fell further into chaos with people growing stronger.
