You'd probably figure that the only thing a Grand Theft Auto inspired role-play could offer is a shallow action driven experience that attracts those that play the game for the deranged thrill of mowing down a vast number of innocent citizens, but keep reading. I've actually tried this once before and the only reason it didn't work out was due to all the participants becoming preoccupied with schooling.

So, all that said, the idea that I have would have a solid plot and world for you to enter into, but it would be very much dependent upon your character in order to move the story forward (it's also worth noting that I would want there to be some form of subplot for each of your characters to be involved). The world we'd enter into is the HD universe in 2009 after the events of GTA 4, GTA: Episodes of Liberty City, and (shortly after) GTA: Chinatown Wars and will find us playing the roles of inmates at the Alderney State Correctional Facility. Liberty City's underworld is in turmoil after many of the leading criminals in the city have been either murdered, put behind bars, or their gangs have been disbanded and after our characters manage to execute a jailbreak they find themselves smack dab in the midst of it trying to work through their own problems. If you'd be interested in joining just leave a comment below and if you already have an idea for a character than feel free to include it (I'm not looking for characters that are "godmodes" or too over the top).

We'd need at least one or two more people to really get it going, so if you know anybody let me know.

What're we working with? Whose going to play what? Male characters or female characters? Ideas for said character? Etc.

I'm happy to play either male or female not fussed, I felt the basis of the story was 3 cellmates escape together, return to the city to find it almost deserted of criminals, speach or all 3 together trying to take a slice of the action. To me that suggests male characters, perhaps each with different skills but doing 3 girls trying to take over a city could be interesting. Each of their skills introduced by their roles in the escape?

just spitballing

My character is definitely male, but he's not exactly your typical criminal. There's definitely room for "empire takeover" and all that kind of jazz, but I do want to see the characters as being more dynamic than your run of the mill criminal characters. I picture male characters in my head (it'd be hard to explain why men and women are in the same correctional facility), but I'd be willing to work with it.

I play female characters pretty much all the time, with a few exceptions.

Just putting that out there.

My character will be male too. He is an excellent driver. One of the best in the city. But not even that was enough to prevent him from beying caught by the cops. After one wild chase through the city that lasted a little over 2 hours my boy was finally caught and sent to prison. The reason? Street racer by origin, he was now part of a team of bank robbers that was organising a heist. He was recruited as a getaway driver because of his driving skills. The heist was a success and everyone was happy. My guy drove them to safety in a warehouse at the outskirts of the city. There they started splitting the cash. However as they where doing that one of the team members betrayed the others and managed to call the cops while the others weren't paying attention. My guy managed to escape but it wasn't for long.

That's all I can say so far about my character. I will add the rest of the info when the CS will appear.

I'm quite interested in this.
Male.
A Would-be Ted Bundy, until his second victim knocked him out and called the cops. His whole plan was to gain knowledge on how the police force works, so he could evade the cops if things got rough, and murder as many people as he could, but in secret. He completed step one, after joining the NYPD, but since this had already happened before, they knew what to do. His court case was quickly decided Guilty after his lawyer couldn't provide any evidence that he didn't, other than a crappy excuse to pass by his assault as self-defense, from the bloody nose and bruised face, but the judge wouldn't believe that story. Alas, through all his efforts to become a serial killer, he was sent to jail.

Hopefully it hasn't already been locked to a set amount of people?

I might be able to include you. I won't lie.... I'm not very interested in including a serial killer, but I might be able to make it work.

If you're going to have a prison break, it might be smart to have someone who knows how the NYPD works.

Let's not argue. I'm just not really that interested in a serial killer. A criminal with a sadistic streak or maybe a sociopath could work, though.

Either of those other ideas would probably change my app quite a bit. I'm thinking on other ideas, but it might take a bit to not be a generic criminal.

I'm sorry, but as the story progresses you'll understand why a serial killer wouldn't fit into the plot.

In other news, here's the link to the OCC: (http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/43070/posts/ooc). It's really basic, but when I have more time to spend on it.... I'll fluff it up.
