The door opened and they dragged in a 7 year old girl. She walked to them and put her hands on Nai's wound. There was a golden light and when she took away her hands it was healed. They shoved her back out and locked the door again. Nai woke up and coughed a bit.
"CONTINUE THE TEST" boomed the voice.

He heard the door open, looking at the scientist that entered. Patience, also the Black Angel. He watched her, eyes narrowed still. He visibly tensed when she walked up to his cage. He spat," what do you want?" He stood up from his sitting position, eyeing her uncertainly. He didn't know what she would be up to, what she would want with him.

Bering was defiant "No." he said simply, he wasn't going to hurt anyone any more. "This isn't achieving anything, this is just bringing harm to both of us". In a final act of defiance he shot an ice spear into his own leg, to show how unwilling he was to continue the test and he screamed out in pain.

Patience shuddered, for the first time in her life she was scared of a mutant "I-I-I'm here to give you your blood, b-but it won't be in packets as usual, you are to feed off me." She said, shocked that she was actually able to say those words.

His eyes narrowed further at her, his gaze flicking to her neck. He looked back at her eyes again. He was actually going to feed from her? That rarely happened. It happened once before, and he nearly killed the scientist that was told to do so. He stepped closer to the cage door and he said," you have to open my door." His body was quivering, and one half, the more human half of his brain, was disgusted at how he was actually excited to slide his fangs into her neck.

"DO YOU REALLY WANT TO PUSH US, BOY?!"
Nai coughed. "His name is Bering!" she yelled out.
She got out of his arms and walked up to one of the walls. "And we will do what we please!" she continued.
8 guards came rushing through the doors, 4 on each of them. They put a metal wristband on both of their left hands then pushed them out the door and instead of going to their cages, they went to a cell, pushing both of them in. "Don't even think about trying to escape; the bands will electrocute you" one of the guards said, and they left them locked in the cell.

Sariah tried not to look at what was about to happen between the so-called Black Angel and Austin, but her mind began to piece things together: if most of the guards were out with Frosty and the newcomer, then they can escape from their cages for time to at least get air out of their cages if Austin played his cards right. The sounds of faint yelling in the distance caught her attention, however, and her newfound hopes faded as quickly as they appeared. Once again allowing herself to slump against the edges of the cage, Sariah took off her headband and fiddled with it once again, not knowing what else to do.

Patience opened Austin's cage slowly, scared of what she may release, she watched him grin in anticipation as she flicked open the last latch, unlocking his door.

Bering was crushed, his only chance of getting out was gone. He looked down at his arms and tried not to focus on the pain the shard had caused him in his foot, he didn't want to accidently frost the room over. He lightly examined the band, it was like an enlarged ring of sorts.

Without hesitation he quickly stepped out, grasping her arms and spinning to slam her into the cage, and, once again not hesitating, his fangs plunged deep into her neck, feeling the warm blood spill into his mouth, then out from the corners of his mouth and ran down his chin. His hands tightened around her arms, preventing her from stopping him. He didn't consider that guards are probably watching his every move, and ready to take him down if he took it too far.

Nai opened her mouth as if she were going to yell at him, but then she closed her mouth. "Thanks for what you did back there, I guess." she said.
She untucked her wings and let out a sigh of relief. Her wings were getting so sore tucked in there.

Bering was almost too weak to answer 'it-it's okay" he said. Her wings were behind him, their velvety softeness comforting him greatly. He laid down and began to fall asleep, snoozing out cold ice as he did so.

Patience tried to pull away, but his grip was too strong "That is all you're getting!" she shouted as she struggled against him "Guards!" she screeched, the pain of his fangs biting into her was too much. She turned to Sariah "Enjoying this Sariah? This is what he'll do to you if you get close to him" She warned. Three guards dashed into the room, ready to subdue Austin.

A growl escaped him at her yelling. He did not want to let go of her. He did not want to stop. He then felt hands grab him, yanking him back, his fangs tearing her skin slightly. Anger flared over his face, and within an instant his eyes changed color, a snarl escaping him now. He brought his legs up, kicking out at Patience's stomach. He felt himself get pulled back again, and he turned slightly, snapping at a guards hand, barely scratching him with a fang, struggling violently against them.

She wrapped one of her wings around him and smiled, wrapping the other wing around herself as much as she could. She tried to fall asleep but couldn't, too many thoughts occupying her mind. She originally wasn't going to rescue Bering. She thought he was going to be too dangerous. But now she saw that even though he was cold on the outside, he was warm on the inside.

The guards froze when they heard the orders from the radio and immediantly released Austin, they said to Patience "sorry, we have our orders" before running off, Patience started screaming, she was trapped in there, with a experiment, with no escape, she was going to die.

Bering coughed awake from his slumber, without realizing he had dropped the room's temperature by several degrees "Oh! I'm so sorry!!" he said quickly, wrapping his arms around Nai to try and warm her up. Killing someone with his cold was a nightmare that happened night after night with him. He leaned in closer and grinned, wispering in her ear "Do I scare you?" letting his cold side control him ever so slightly.

Bering grinned wider, he was happy at the fact someone was scared of him, that he was in control. He said nothing and curled down back into her wing. He didn't fall asleep, but simply lay there, marveling at every single feather upon the wings, he almost wanted to reach out and pull one out. He caressed the feathers with his hands, he wondered how they'd change under cold.
