This is actually a pretty darn solid idea. That way those who want to play OC's can play OC's and the others can pick and choose from the characters and canon antagonists without that big of a hassle, at least in my opinion.

They can do that anyway though. If the character you want to play is dead/otherwise unavailable by the end of their series, you can probably just say those events didn't happen/have yet to happen in this timeline. Although really, I'd say characters should just generally not be how they are at the end of their series, kind of awkward trying to make villains a threat when all the heroes have their best power-ups available from the start, ehe. That's just my opinion though.

I'm not sure if I quite like that idea, to be perfectly honest. Or well, the OC centrality of it all. I may sound a bit blunt here, and I do not mean to be rude, but with the number of people wanting to play OCs, maybe it would be best for someone to run a separate game for a pseudo OC crossover for Magical Girls?

Alas, I'd prefer to stick to the true nature of a crossover as much as possible in my own game. I'll still allow OCs, but I feel like there won't be enough slots for people who want to strictly play OCs so it would be better for those people to have their own game. I will not mind at all if someone wants to take the idea and run with it.

I was trying to figure out the best way to suggest this, honestly. ^^;

And like I said earlier, if all else fails just set it in Tokyo. A lot of magical girl shows are set there anyways, and most of them tend to be based in big Japanese cities which can easily just be made into Tokyo.

My problem (still interested) is thinking of a magical girl that is:
  1. Not a magical nuke or otherwise problematic

  2. Interesting to me

  3. Not part of an inseparable group. >_>;

Some people want OC's because they would like to be creative without being untrue to a character

It would be unfair to ones merely wanting to do their own style. I do not want to make this a big issue however and hope this can be civil

@Guy of Z: I get that, I do. But this is a crossover between canon characters. Or at least, that was my intent. Crossovers like that need to be canon dominated rather than OC dominated. Which is why it might be better for a separate OC dominated RP to be set up for those uncomfortable with RPing canon.

But OC's can use the canon to enrich their backstrokes, for example. Even create interesting and amusing dynamics
>OC gets inspired by a group of Magical girls or boys battling in the city
>Idolizes them
>Makes their own makeshift outfit after getting powers
An example but there can be more

Also some users might not be too familiar with certain series and want them to intermingle with other series lore this can help. I'm not asking for dominance but merely a teeny bit of leeway

I am giving leeway, OCs are still allowed. I just noticed that there are a lot of users who want to use OCs and I won't be able to accommodate for them all. Which is why I bring up the suggestion of a separate RP. Please understand that I'm not trying to send people away for RPing OCs, I just don't want an overload of OCs in what is meant to be a crossover.

I understand this :)

I merely wanted to act on the behalf of others who would want to excersize their creativity in a crossover setting if that was okay

How many OC's are we allotted?

Ahiru is more or less completely useless in any other setting, so, uh...

I'd say Sailor Jupiter. We can't have a magical girl crossover RP without at least one Sailor Senshi.

See, her unique form of uselessness ( which would make her have such interesting struggles next to more practical heros given her struggles with feeling 'useless' in the series) is what make me interested in playing her

But given I love Makoto so much and people are calling for at least one senshi I guess I have to :D
