I know people like to forget Hull but we're still part of the UK.You need to pester your mates to come up there for a night out sometime, make sure it happens because it's very easy to just talk about something like that. Don't forget you'll be home as soon as Christmas too, it's very easy to get bored when you're home from uni so if you take the initiative things might work out.
I didn't know you lived in Hull! I thought you were American for whatever reason, my apologies.
I will, of course. And we will all meet up during holidays, we've already agreed to. It will probably be fine, we're all very close - but it's still easy for me to psyche myself out over it. Thanks for the advice man!

What was the inspiration for your username?
Heh, this is embarrassing. My original username on Oldguild was HaloAssault - and yes, it was inspired by the game. The only forum I'd been a regular on prior to coming here was the bungie.net forum, and at the time I was pretty obsessed with the game, as it was my first ever shooter and my first ever 15-rated game - I loved it and love playing it (for nostalgia reasons, partially) to this day. It was how I socialised with my friends after school, and with my online friends across the world. The cringeworthy name just sprung to mind when I was 13, when I joined RPG, and in a moment of short-sightedness I went with it. I've never used it anywhere else, either.
As for "Halo" on Newguild - it became what I was known by on Oldguild, and I'd actually requested a namechange to "Halo" before the Guild went down. When I came here, it made more sense to go with this handle so that I'd still be recognised, but could rid myself of at least a little bit of the awfulness of "HaloAssault". It's a bit simpler and more elegant, and more mature, than the old name - which, hopefully, reflects my own development in the past four and a quarter years.
