Which is as different as the difference between Polenta and Grits.

Idk what either of those are, but I'd compare D&D to Pathfinder the way one might compare CoD to Halo, or McDonnalds to Burger King. (in both cases, the latter is either more fun, more delicious, or both.)

Let me know if my stats are ok, I want my char to be excellent with range weapons, so I tried to put points in more of the ranged class stats.

Polenta is actually very tasty if made correctly but I don't actually like grits. Oatmeal on the other hand is awesome. I especially like oatmeal with grape jelly and brown sugar mixed in.

Merc and I were doing some casual brainstorming for other skills and weapons to include at a later date, probably after the game starts. Lets just say... Do any of you like the Monster Hunter series?

Name: Lance-Corporal Bundt

Equipment: Militia Armor, Spear, Crossbow, Bolts, Adventuring Supplies, Rations

Appearance:

Description: Corporal Bundt is mostly defined by his greatest virtue, dedication, and his greatest vice, complaining. Booted out of the house when he came of age because his parents could no longer take his nonstop whining, he soon joined up with the militia who, due to being short on men following a recent siege, were forced to take him on. To everyone's surprise, the kid actually made a fairly good guardsman; he was alert, dedicated, and fairly good with a spear. As the years passed he eventually rose to the rank of Corporal, and then Lance-Corporal, but he always found new things to complain about. The militia can can take only so much nonstop bitching, so they decided to pawn him off on the next band of adventurers that came through.

VIT 11
CON 11
STR 11
DEX 10
AGI 10
ATT 10
INT 10
FTH 7
PRC 10

Skills:
Tenacity- Seriously, dude is DEDICATED. PRobably something involving taking hits real well and healing faster.
Irritation- His nonstop bitching can draw the ire of all but the most calculating of foes- standard tanky aggro/debuff thing.
Spearmanship- He's pretty good with a spear.
Crossbow Marksman- He's also okay with a crossbow, but nothing too special.

Pretty cool character, Parser. Parameters add up just fine too. Tbh I'd wanna get a little more extreme with my builds but hey balance is just as viable.

It's a bit hard to go for anything else what with the point buy system being as strict as it is and all.

Well, the intended average was supposed to be less than 10. Every time you level up, you get to increase three of your scores by one. Or you can increase a score by two and increase a different score by one. The point-buy is to make sure people don't start too powerful.

As far as actually accepting characters go, MercuryHg34 has to make the call. I'm just here to make sure the lights and smoke machines work. He's the one who will be telling the story and therefore directing you guys through it.

Also, 2 is too low a parameter to start play with. Assuming any 2's are instead 3's you're still over budget by 5 points.

Parser and DragonBeastMode, when Merc gives me the OK, I'll shoot you each a PM to go over personal skills for your characters. Dragon, fix up those scores, otherwise your character looks fine to me, but like I said, Merc is the arbiter.
