"I wouldn't put it that way," she begins, "it's mainly because I was different than the rest. I could do things they've never seen before and it scared them. They believed I was a threat. So, of course, they exiled me. I was thrown out. The alpha told the pack they found me dead. So here I am now, in the Ravine Pack- where no one knows of my past."

Dymeh contemplated this for a moment. It would be the right thing to turn her in for who she really was. For all he knew, this could have just been a way for her to infiltrate the Ravine Pack. But something about her made him feel like she could be trusted. Besides, she was pretty good at hunting, which would help in a season and under circumstances like this.
"No, I won't report you," Dymeh said, looking her in the eyes, "but promise me this won't happen again."

Dymeh said nothing, too shocked to speak further. He just looked at Aleera, suspicion in his expression. He turned and started to walk towards camp once more.

Aleera doesn't follow. Instead, she heads back into the denser area of the forest where maybe, she could be alone for awhile so she could make the decision she'd been putting aside for days. One she wished she wouldn't have to make again.

Once sure Aleera can't smell or see him, Dymeh sinks into a tree's shadow and follows her through the forest. The ground was cold, but he managed. He had to find out what exactly she was up to.

Aleera sprints deeper and deeper into the forest. Finally, she reaches the clearing. This particular clearing was victim to a fire, but she always went there when she needed to be alone. It also increased the strength of her powers.

What's she doing here? Everything's nearly dead! Why would any one want to be here? Dymeh thought, snarling at the smell of charred wood. I suppose I should just wait it out, and see what she's up to, he concluded.

Anytime Aleera was about to use her power, all of her senses become stronger. That's how she knew someone was there. "You know, hiding doesn't work well here," she says to the wolf, Dymeh, her senses concluded, hiding nearby. Aleera waited until he decided to show.
