Name: Kara Ursa (and King Teddy)
Age: 18. The bear was crafted seven years ago, just after Kara signed her contract.
Gender: Female. While the bear has no gender, Kara claims it to be male.
Appearance dullahan
Personality: You'd think the next best thing from a circus of the living dead would have some awfully gloomy folks. Kara is nothing like that at all. In fact, she's so cheery and friendly that it can be considered annoying or outright manic. She'll get overly excited about the most trivial things, then not really care at all when some massive world-changing event is going on. Her favorite animals are bears, and she'll get squealy over anything that's a bear, even if it's a live bear trying to bite her head off. And of course, quite possibly adding to the idea that she may very well have some screws loose or missing in her head, King Teddy is her best friend in the world, whom she claims to have conversations and tea parties alike with.
While Teddy's personality (if it's even there, given he's probably an inanimate object) is based entirely on speculation and whatever Kara says. She claims he's very shy with other people and becomes aggressive when nervous. However, speculation or not, inanimate or not, Teddy has proven to be very protective of his master. Harming Kara is the fast route to having to deal with a ten-foot teddy bear. And she claims Teddy is in fact aware of how badly that fails to sound intimidating because he's a teddy bear. Apparently, he's inversely unaware of the ribbon Kara stuck on his head, or simply fails to care.
Bio: You know that one person who seems like they'd be really popular but in fact they aren't? Kara's past is a lot like that. For the most part, people didn't even know she existed. Sometimes even her own parents failed to remember they had a child (an only child, on that note) and as one can imagine, that meant a very lonely life for Kara as she grew up. Some people get depressed over such a thing, or go mad and shoot up their school. Kara instead went mad and began hearing voices. The only thing Kara ever loved more than the idea of being popular was her collection of stuffed animals. They were the voices she began hearing, but it
was all in her head.
It's not uncommon for children to play pretend with stuffed animals, so her parents didn't think it was a major cause for concern. Until high school, when she already should have outgrown that kind of thing. It wasn't that she was playing pretend; Kara legitimately thought her stuffed animals were talking to her. She was diagnosed with having a low-functioning schizophrenia, and promptly medicated. The voices of her friends died out in time, but at what cost? Without Captain the Dalmatian or Lucy the Giraffe to keep her company anymore, among her plethora of other stuffed animals, Kara's mind began looking for a new vice to cope. In the end, she chose a fascination with all things entertainment, especially live magic shows. Inadvertedly, her medication led to her attending a Magica Macabre show. The wonder and horror she saw that night was too much for her excitable psyche to handle, even on medication. When the ringmaster asked for a volunteer from the audience, she volunteered all-too-enthusiastically.
It didn't take much to persuade her to make a wish. In no time flat, she signed a contract to join the Magica Macabre circus, and became their resident puppeteer. She's been with the crew in the seven years since, accompanied by her new best friend and partner: King Teddy.
Wish: Have a best friend
Your act: Kara's act at first is either a puppet show or telekinesis, the latter being an ability gifted to her with her contract. Invariably, she'll call forth King Teddy about halfway in tied to ropes that lead up to the ceiling, and display the interesting properties between the two. For instance, if Kara slits her wrist or otherwise injures herself, Teddy is the one who bleeds. If somebody whispers something to the bear's ears, Kara hears it loud and clear. One could actually say they share a mind, and maybe even a body to a certain extent. The finale of her act is to cut King Teddy's ropes and let him run around of his own accord for a short moment, though word in the circus is that she's still controlling his movements.
Anything else: While it's only known as true to Kara and the ringmaster, Teddy has a gleaming diamond buried deep in his body. This diamond is his heart, and has a magic link to a smaller, identical diamond Kara keeps on her at all times.
