It's been twenty years since the defeat of Lord Voldemort, and the wizarding world was ushered into an era of peace. There's still whispers, and rumors of faithful followers of Voldermort's regime floating around, and most of them are either killed, or imprisoned in Azakaban once caught wind of by the Ministry Of Magic which is being helmed none other by Kinglsey Shacklebolt, the Minister Of Magic himself. Things are seemingly back to normal, but the whispers & rumors can sometimes be true.

One of Voldermort's faithful Death Eaters avoided capture and imprisonment in Azakaban as his identity was fairly unknown yet he goes by the name of Mordus, and he was thought to have been killed during the Battle Of Hogwarts. He is slowly gathering forces and is planning an all out attack on this new wizarding world, and Hogwarts as well. As a sort of revenge scheme, and a way to fulfill what Voldemort wanted.

So, that's essentially my idea. That being said, none of the serious attacks/murders/etc will be happening anytime soon. Dark stuff will going on in the background, and are still very much whispers & rumors. Nothing exactly confirmed right away. Appearance:
Bio: Mordus was one of the younger Death Eater's in Lord Voldermort's service, and was ultimately thought dead during the Battle Of Hogwarts when Neville Longbottom collapsed the main bridge with explosives. He now wears his Death Eater robes, and mask full time to hide the severe, and disfiguring scars and burns that he sustained from the explosions and subsequent fall. He's now formed a group of dark wizards who are slowly, but surely working their way towards some grand schemes behind the scenes. Their group is nothing but rumors amongst the Wizarding World right now. Nothing is concrete evidence.

Appearance:
Bio: Clarke is the only one is his family to be sorted into Ravenclaw. The rest were dropped into Slytherin, but somehow his intelligence gave him the push in Ravenclaw. He doesn't have many friends at Hogwarts and tends to stick to himself and his studies. He rarely wears his house robes unless required to by the Headmaster. Last year was the last year that Professor McGonagall was Headmistress of Hogwarts, so this coming year was going to be something different. He just hoped he'd make some friends this year.

Yes, that means anyone out there can apply for the Headmaster position if they so choose. Also, the roleplay will start at Platform 9 3/4 for students and then people who won't be going to Hogwarts with their characters can roleplay anywhere else in the world (except Hogwarts, unless you're a teacher or staff member at the school.)

Wand: Its a birch wand and has a phoenix feather core. It is 9 and 1/2 inches long and is quite rigid. It has a beautiful shine and is intricately carved.
Appearance:
Bio: Niklaus or "Klaus" was born to two magical parents in Germany, although his mom died when he was younger over some magical quarrel. The town (Dresden) had been shaken by it and his father blamed himself for being out so much, as a traveling auror. He moved Klaus to England when he was around six, and stayed in, raising his son who reminded him so very much of his wife, but trying to mold him into an auror, so he could protect himself. His mother had always been good with her charms but it wasn't enough to save her life, so he would make sure Klaus' Defense against the dark arts class would always be in the forefront of his mind. His father could be quite hard on poor Klaus who had no intention of becoming in auror to help protect the world, and as much as he was like his mother and good at charms, he had no intention of doing that. Klaus is an amazing seeker and wants to go pro someday. Unlike some of his housemates and to their disdain, Klaus doesn't mind muggles (where he lived a majority of people were halfies!) and would marry one that could prove enough of a challenge for him. Another note to add is Klaus is a lover of practical jokes and horrible at transfiguration.

Pet: Male spectacled owl named Tank.
Appearance: Reddish-brown hair worn in two braids, pale brown eyes and a slightly chubby build. She has a few freckles on her cheeks, and an acne scar here and there.
Bio: She's Muggle-born, so she was slightly homesick for her tech at first, but she's fine with snail mail, and thinks it's pretty badass to have a mail-delivering owl. Her parents (as well as herself) were of course really taken aback when her letter arrived in the mail, but of course, everything was sorted out as they came to terms with the fact that their daughter was a witch. She grew up around Hastings, doesn't have too many friends, and is quite relieved to go home every summer and Christmas break. She loves the whole magic thing though.

Bio: Jordan was raised by a magical father and a muggle mother. He has two older brothers, both of which were sorted into gryffindor and became aurors after graduating from Hogwarts. Jordan, however, had no interest in becoming an auror, and was sorted into Hufflepuff. He easily made a lot of friends at Hogwarts with his friendly and optimistic personality, but he can be reckless sometimes, and occasionally gets himself and other people into trouble. He struggles with most of his classes, but manages to get grades that are slightly below average. He is going into his fifth year at Hogwarts.

Appearance:  She is on the shorter side barely reaching 5' 2” and almost always pulls back her hair.

Bio:  Marielle's mother was a Muggle-born and her father was Pureblood. When her father married someone of 'less than pure blood' he was cut off from his family's money. Marielle grew up with her father parents working constantly in the ministry, often to just make ends meet. As a result she spent most of her childhood with her Uncle Malcolm – which, wasn't a bad thing, well, to her at least. Her uncle was a bit on the eccentric side, and having spent so much time with him at such an impressionable age left her with a few odd quirks. (Only eating one type of food at at time so as to not contaminate the flavors and she does a shimmy whenever satisfied with herself.)They let their daughter's antisocial and curious behavior be, figuring she would change her ways and adapt once she went to Hogwarts. Much to her parents dismay Marielle is tactless to a tee-- mainly due to her highly logical nature-- and can't really be bothered to interact with people. The brunette would much rather seek companionship in books and animals. Most of interaction with her classmates only occur when they're in need of help in potions or transfiguration, as she is best at those two subjects. Besides that she is a stickler for details, finds humor in bad puns, and is always on time. After endless nagging from her parents she finally conceded to trying to make friends this year and working on being more 'normal'.

Name: Gaius Vi Britannia

House: Slytherin
Wand: This poplar wand and has a dragon heartstring core. 11 and 3/4 inches long, rather bendy. dark color and is intricately carved.
Pet: An orange and white male Tabby cat named Light. Light is three years old and is Gaius' favorite pet. Gaius has trained Light to not leave the common room without his owner.
Appearance: Gaius is fond of black clothing when not in his wizard's robes. He is 5'8, has short, black hair and a fair complexion. He is of average build, and weighs 150 pounds. He sometimes sports a beard and mustache, although at times he shaves his head and cuts his beard into a goatee.

Bio: Gaius comes from the house of Britannia, a family of purebloods who, for generations have moved in the dark corners of the wizarding world. Much like Lucius Malfoy, Gaius' father Magnus attained a position of respect (and sometimes fear), through his dealings with numerous public officials at the Ministry of Magic (some dealings more legal than others). Magnus often knew intricate secrets about those who were on the rise to fame in the world, and he used that knowledge to attain whatever he desired. The Britannia family is very well off, but nowhere as rich as the other high families in the books. In the last wizard war, Magnus was believed to be a Death Eater who sided with Voldemort, but without any definitive proof he was not sent to Azkaban.

Gaius' mother, Marianne, was killed when Gaius was only 11 years old. While the specific circumstances of her death are not known to Gaius, as he was at Hogwarts, the consensus was that she was killed in a magical accident while trying to perfect a rare spell, which backfired. Gaius mourned the loss of his mother, as he was always on better terms with her than his father. Gaius has always viewed his father as dark and mysterious, and openly believes that his father was a Death Eater despite his father's denials.

Upon coming to Hogwarts, Gaius was almost immediately sorted into Slytherin, something which the majority of his family line shared. Throughout his studies, Gaius favored Defense Against the Dark Arts as well as Potions. Secretly, Gaius also looked into dark arts spells to cast as well. As the years at Hogwarts passed, Gaius took an interest Quidditch, and became a Chaser for the Slytherin team. The young man had wanted to be a Seeker, but was not fast enough to attain that position. As Gaius enters his sixth year, he hopes to learn how to apparate,

Personality:

Gaius was a generally kind child growing up, until the death of his mother. Her death caused him to become somewhat cold and distant, and to become a bully as well. He enjoys besting people in competitions and duels, and has practiced hidden dark magic so he can always win if conventional spells fail. He has no close friends at Hogwarts, as he mainly keeps to himself and his studies.
