Since we have already discussed the theme/setting. I'll jump right into the good stuff......

Rules: The only needed to be told is, Camille Endora, KiraVanhelsing, Silver and myself are the only ones permitted into this rp/thread. We have collaborated this far, so its no shocker that rules have been discussed as well.

Name: Athena Cadence Vesper Thannel

Alias: Vesper or Owlette.

Appearance:

Gender: Female.

Age: 23.

Personality: Vesper is very motherly and protective over those she cares about. She has a strong connection with nature, specifically owls, and loves being outside whenever possible. She can be known to be a perfectionist and inflexable at times as well as calm and extremely insightful. Her favorite time is when it's dark out. The rest is TBR.

Scars/Tattoo's: The guild insignia.

Powers/Abilities/Skills: Vesper has a unique ability to communicate with owls and has acquired some of the traits that owls have such as night vision and heightened hearing. She has an owl named Nyx, who stays with her at all times unless given a task to do. She is also very good at surviving in the wilderness.

Weapon(s): Vesper often uses her owl, Nyx as a weapon, but when she isn't using her, she uses 2 small daggers kept sheathed to her thighs.

Bio: Vesper was given her owl at a young age as a gift for her 4th birthday from her guardians. She doesn't remember who her parents were, and was only ever told vague stories of them as she grew up, causing her to assume they had either died, or given her up when she was born. As she grew, her guardians helped teach her skills to survive in the wilderness, deal with animals, and as they lived in a cabin near a small lake, it made teaching her easier. In her early teen years, despite knowing she could somehow communicate with owls, her sleeping pattern began to turn nocturnal, and as she spent more time out at night with Nyx, her eyes began to adjust as if it were day, and her hearing likewise got better.

Finally, it was Vesper's 20th birthday, and her guardians told her that she needed to go off on her own and start her life. Despite being unsure, she wandered for days and nights on end, but eventually the days turned into weeks, then into months, and eventually 3 years had passed before she came across the guild, where she began to build her life with a fresh start.

Other: Vesper's voice is higher pitched than normal, but is not at all "frilly", and her nails are often kept sharp and pointed as if they were talons.

Name: Jin

Alias: The Iron-Clad Warrior



Gender: Male (Does not currently possess a body of flesh.)

Age: 21 (About five years since Jin was bound into the suit of armor, thus was 16.)

Personality: Loner, Reclusive, Determined, Stubborn, Blunt, Kind, Values life excruciatingly,

Scars/Tattoo's: (Atop his right hand is the insignia of the guild.)

Powers/Abilities/Skills: Currently due to his soul being bound to a suit of armor, he possesses zero magical talents.

Martial-Arts/CQC: Before he even became a hollow shell of armor, Jin was extensively training his body for martial arts and close quarters combat. This was due to his ability requiring a lot of close encounters during fights. Jin has trained under several different teachers of The guild, since he arrived there at 17

Soul-Bound: Since his soul is bound to a suit of armor and possesses no flesh and bone to his body construct. Jin doesn't require oxygen, sleep, food or water to sustain life. Jin also doesn't experience fatigue. Being a hollow shell of armor (Steel/metal) also has its perks and downsides when it comes to defense and offense. (Resistance to cold/heat, Resistance to piercing and slashing damage, Semi-resistant to explosion (more-so then flesh, at least.) )

Soul-Seal: Upon the inside of his armor, there is a seal/mark that contains his life-force. If this seal is broken or damaged, he can die instantly.

Weapons: Whenever he does use weapons, (Which is rare) he has A sword and shield combo which is rarely carried on himself. (Will post picture later.)

Bio: (What characters would know) Several months ago, Jin arrived at The Guild and begun taking refuge there. Showing to ace any mission given to him, however contradicting major code of The Guild, Never Work Alone. Two weeks has passed since Jin has taken a mission, though the headmaster is requesting he complete some (Group) missions soon. Or is at risk of being removed from the guild, due to lack of contributing to the establishment. (People can't live for free yo!)

(Out Of Character background) Since the age of 12, when his parents passed, life has been rough on Jin. Around age 13 Jin's was noticed by a martial artist and special power (Magic) sensei who took guardianship over him. Jin lived for three years under the iron rule of his teacher and guardian, where he learned to control his magic and practiced martial arts.

At age 16, Jin flees from the care of his master and starts life on his own. Quickly Jin ends up resorting to A criminal lifestyle to continue living. Though this streak of danger and foolish action only lasted two years. During his spree of crime, A man crossed his path who refused to allow Jin to continue his chaos. This mysterious man sealed his soul into the suit of armor he is cursed into today. Thus he was around the age of 18 when he was placed into the suit of armor.

After two years of seeking purpose or proof of reality, Jin discovers a guild. Deciding if anyone could help him, they would be involved with that guild, or someone would be able to point him onto a better trail. Because the only thing Jin cares or seeks is a way to return his body to normal.

Other: Finally, there is someone living at the guild who magically manipulates metal/steel. This person is the only one who is aware of Jin's secret. (Being a hollow shell of armor.) This is because they are the only person who has seen Jin damaged enough to reveal his secret. This was when Jin discovered this person would help him get fixed up whenever he needed. (Wasn't sure if I should make this character A NPC or not.)

(This is the ability Jin possessed before his soul was bound into the armor. Thus he cannot perform this feat currently. Or until he has his original body back.)

Skin manipulation: When he was flesh & bone, Jin could transform his skin into a material he is holding. This magic had its advantages and disadvantages. Misuse of this power is what forced his soul to be bound into a suit of armor. (Instead of execution, they placed his soul into this hollow shell.)

Personality: Jinx is very hearty. She loves to drink, hunt, and communicate with the dead. She is usually very friendly and loves great food and good company. Loyal, brave and always willing to do a favor for a friend or for a spirit . Her reputation is somewhat the opposite though. The reaper is known as cold calculating and always complete’s the mission.

Scars/Tattoo's: She has a large scar on her neck from being hanged, and another larger scar on her arm from a fire that happened when she was little. She ran in to save a little boy who was apparently already dead. The guild insignia,is on the back of her neck.

Powers/Abilities/Skills: Jinx first off is dead. She died about 5 years ago and is brutally enjoying her afterlife. She has always even alive been a medium. Communicating with previous souls has been child’s play growing up with her mother, but after her death, she has the ability to raise and posess the dead as if they are puppets. Souls are untouchable but any dead flesh and bone that crosses her path can be manipulated at will. She is also quite physically fit, and has learned boxing from her father. Not to mention she likes weapons and will do her best with whatever is put in front of her.

Bio: Jinx was born under very interesting circumstances. Her mother and father were both Russian, but moved at a very young age to the Americas for better work etc. Jinx's mother Anna Havenorka(Haven for short) was a famous medium and writer and was overjoyed when she learned she was pregnant. Her and her husband Victor, a professional boxer were excited to form a family and when the day finally came, they were overwhelmed with happiness to have a new baby girl. It was a very scary day seeming as Jinx was proclaimed dead five seconds after she was born. The parents were devastated, and about to give up hope when miraculously before the corpse was to be taken away the blankets began to move and a loud cry rang through the ward. Woo freaky! Well ever since then life around Jinx has been odd to say the least. She was a happy girl but was always talking to people who weren't there, and would perform duties for them.

Anna immediately recognized the gift and helped teach her daughter how to be polite and calm when communicating. Jinx was smart and hid her gift, but it also made her seem kooky and strange to the humans around her. She had a great family (Including some dead members) who helped her grow confident in herself and her abilities. She even learned how to use a gun from her great great great uncle Roland. She has put herself in plenty dangerous situations when helping the dead and that has helped her become a little bolder, but it also took her youth very early. She is quite serious and has a hard time relaxing and being at ease. Of course that could be because of lack of sleep due to the overwhelming harassment of the dead. She has overwhelming insomnia and has to take pills to remove the voices. Even that though weighs on her guilt so shes a bit testy.

About five years ago though her luck ran out. While helping out her mother, she got mixed up with a demon possession and was hanged off the side of a building until she was proclaimed dead. Shock to everyone again, when she woke up in the morgue with a bad hangover and a sore neck. She doesn't speak a lot of that day but ever since then her skin has become paler, and her eyes are slightly more glossy then usual.

Other: She has a locket that has a very old picture of her great ancestor Rana Varinksi(mothers side) who was the first to attain the gift of speaking to the dead. The myth is she made a deal with the grim reaper to help him with his duties. if he could bring back her husband that died of cholera. The Reaper took pity on her and raised her husband, but only so that she could speak with him. The rest of her life was dedicated to saving souls and finding solace with the ghost of her husband to keep her company. The scary thing is she looks quite a bit like Jinx with her raven hair and blue eyes.

Name: Captain Lysander Grey

Alias: Grey

Appearance:

Age: 24

Personality: Lysander Grey is, as of now, a lawful individual who believes in upholding the law and following standards of moral purity. He has never consumed alcohol, done drugs or been with a women. This is not his being prude, but rather the discipline of a soldier.

Scars/Tattoo's: Has a Legion tattoo on his upper back shoulder. He is also missing an eye.


Powers/Abilities/Skills: Skilled in close-quarters combat, marksmanship and battle strategy. His right eye, which was destroyed in battle, was replaced with a metal relic that allows him to see things and traits that others cannot. Details later.

Weapon(s): Proficient in most melee weapons, and some ranged. Carries a katana, survival knife, and pistol.

Bio:

Lysander Grey was abandoned at birth, discovered outside a priory where he was taken in. He was given clothing, shelter, a childhood and a name. The monks at the priory raised him to be a pious and docile boy, but their best efforts could not shake his energetic and occasionally belligerent self. In his teenage years, his vibrant personality was noticed by a Lieutenant Baron in the Legion, who adopted him and raised him anew, registering him as a soldier in the grand and mighty Legion, an army that fought for law and order. Although the Lieutenant Baron died only a few years later, he left Lysander a small inheritance that paid for his entrance in the prestigious Legion Military Academy.

Lysander graduated from the Military Academy around the age of 18, and his formerly playful self had undergone a transformation into a serious, disciplined officer. Following graduation, Lysander embarked on a campaign where he proved his worth in battle, earning the rank of Captain. He then fought in several more campaigns, gaining renown and notoriety as a warrior and losing his right eye in the process.

As a reward for his service, Lysander was put up for the position of General, where he could use his experience to command entire regiments of troops. However, along the course of his election campaign, Lysander was thrust into the politics of Legion command, where he found corruption and dishonesty. In an unprecedented move, Lysander revealed the scandal to the public, and was discharged from the Legion and cast onto the street. This is where we find him now.
