Premise
You've just been scouted by Amenity (AM) Entertainment, one of the largest record labels around. Hopefuls from across the globe will be participating in the audition process. Are you hoping to become a solo act or a member in the latest group? Trainees are worked to the bone, but the company produces top notch performers who sell thousands of albums each year. In the cut-throat world of entertainment, will you be a flourishing success, or make friends, perhaps even enemies with the wrong people?
Dorms are provided to those who pass the auditions. Trainees are required to take dance, vocal, and acting lessons five days a week. For anyone under 18, they need a minimum of 15 academic class hours within that time frame as well. Groups are housed in joint living quarters located on the first two floors of the dormitory to encourage bonding. Solo acts live above them, and classes are taken at Amenity Entertainment’s corporate and subsidiary offices. Living conditions will remain like this until debut. Hopefully, it’s a success; otherwise, you get to pack your bags and head home.
RP Information
As a member of this RP, you can choose to be a solo or group act. Staff positions are available as well. Groups cannot have more than five members to keep things from becoming chaotic. If possible, I’d like to have a girl and boy group accompanied by one or two solo acts. If this proves difficult to manage, sister threads can be made specifically for group interaction. Seeing as this starts off in the “trainee phase,” I’d like to incorporate weekly assignments. They don’t have to be complicated, and should be fun (not at all like actual class work)! Whichever group/solo act does best by the time debut comes around will be the most famous. We can keep a weekly poll to change act popularity. This idea is still forming, so it may or may not be implemented. Please share your thoughts and feel free to offer assignment ideas if you’d like to join. I’m new to the site, so constructive criticism is very welcome!
