Introduction

For centuries, human beings with incredible powers have existed around the world, hidden in secret from the rest of society, many not believing in their existence. But all that changed in the spring of 1940 when Adolf Hitler revealed to the world the first of his Aryan pure, Nazi supermen. Hundreds of these Metahuman Nazi soldiers joined in the fight for the domination of the Third Reich and Germany began to crush all resistance in Europe, leaving behind millions dead. It is now 1942 and Germany has seized control of nearly all of Europe, only Russia remains free from the Nazi fascists, and the Third Reich is planning to invade and destroy Moscow. But there is light in the terrible darkness, when Germany began to dominate the war, Russia and America quickly mobilized their own special forces of superhumans and drafted any able bodied Metahuman to fight against the Nazi threat. There is also the resistance in the occupied countries controlled by the Third Reich, who are trying their best to liberate their nations from Hitler's horrible clutches by making strikes against military bases, political offices and supply vehicles. Will freedom survive in these dark times? That is for you decide, all that is certain is that there will be oceans of blood when the war is over.

Rules

No god-modding

No arguing in ether the IC or the OOC, if you have a bad disagreement then please PM me or sort it out amongst yourselves in the private messages.

There will be very few powers that your character won't be allowed to have but know that they will much weaker than what you would normally see in superhero fiction. Powers in this rp are not meant to be incredibly powerful, for example if your character has superhuman durability then their body will still vulnerable in some areas. You can only have four powers at maximum and the more you have the less powerful you can make them.

Auto-hitting is not allowed, but I do ask for you all to have the sensibility to let your characters get injured sometimes when they are attacked.

Your characters must ether be aligned with the Axis or the Allies. If your character is an ally in a conquered nation then they are a resistance fighter who is a part of the rebel groups fighting the Third Reich from within.

Please try to have good grammar.

I want this rp to be PG 13 in terms of profanity and sexuality, but there will be a lot of violence.

-'Tin Man' Powered Assault Armor: Roger, using his expansive intellect, has constructed himself a suit of powered armor which he uses for his engagements as Tin Man. The armor amplifies his strength ten fold, he can't lift a tank or throw a car, but he can dish out some strong punches. It also doubles his running speed, so while he can't exactly run at superhuman pace he will out speed the average man. His armor also greatly diminishes the physical strain of activity on his body, so he'll usually be able to contiue without the effects of fatigue for longer than most. The armor's armor plating also allows for enhanced protection, granted, while the armor would protect him from small caliber bullets at decent ranges and large caliber shots at longer ranges, bullets still have the capacity to get through. His armor also allows him to take a few punches form targets with super strength or other physical enhancements, but not very many.
The armors offensive options are a wrist mounted grenade launcher, with four grenades ready to fire. Granted, between engagements he needs to reload these. On his left glove are electric shock plates which will do about as much damage to someone as a modern police issue tazer, making it useless against armored targets and somewhat useful for frying exposed machinery. On both wrists there are also twin hidden blade mechanisms. And of course on his armor's magnetized thighs(magnetized to allow him to store weaponry) are his twin pistols.
From a utility perspective, Roger's armor has several helpful options. It has magnetized boot and hand plates that can be activated and deactivated to allow for scaling(albeit extremely treacherous scaling...) of metallic structures. This armor also has rocket boosters on the shoulders and boots of the armor, allowing for extremely limited flight. He can't go very high, and and fly about twice as fast as he can run with his armor on. The jets fuel supply is also very limited, allowing only for short flights.
-Twin Pistols: Roger has two pistols, which he usually keeps on the magnetized thigh plates of his armor.
-Trench Knife: Roger keeps a trench knife tucked away in his belt, just in case.
Personality:
Roger is a generally friendly fellow, liking to make and keep friends. He's quite the talker and enjoys discussing any kind of subject, but he especially loves talking about technology. Roger is very accepting of others, as he was raised to treat others as his equal. Roger has trouble understanding why people would want to be different religions or sexualities, but he forces himself to accept it. He likes making jokes, although whether his jokes are funny or not really depends on the person.
History:
Roger's real parents are unknown to him, and he spent the majority of his childhood in an orphanage. The key figure of his childhood was probably a man he called "Father Clark", a jovial black fellow who worked for the orphanage and cared for the kids. Clark taught him to treat everyone equal, no matter their color or anything else about them. He was eventually adopted by a normal american family, the father of said family happened to be a mechanic, but Roger would always miss Clark. As his new father taught him about engineering, Roger quickly discovered his power. He could builds things and process information at rates most adults and the other boys and girls in his class couldn't match. As he got older his mind only got more powerful. But as he grew older and new forms of fiction came about, Roger took a liking to taking a dime and going down to the shop to pick up tales of comic-book heroes, like the new 'Superman' character.
When Roger heard of the war, he decided it was his duty to be like Superman, and aid the effort. He constructed himself a set of armor and managed to get the military to insert him into a special meta human unit, all while keeping his identity a secret, hiding behind the self-chosen alias of 'Tin Man'.

How many characters are we allowed? I'm only asking because I have two that would be perfect for this, and while I can play them separately they're also really interesting together. They're sort of pals and their stories go right along with each others.

Also, what is the fate of the Jews in this timeline/is there any possibility of having a Jewish character? (Need to know this because one of my characters is a concentration camp survivor. I know that's a bit of a touch and go issue, but I've spent a lot of time practicing to make sure I can play him right, so I'm hoping that's acceptable. I also understand if its not and would be happy to play my American character by himself.)

just so things don't get to cluttered, you can have a maximum of three characters.

and about the fate of the Jews, well since Hitler was able to use the Metahumans as a way of showing the possibility of an Aryan pure super race of humans, it made more people become loyal to him and follow his ideals so the Holocaust and persecution of the Jews became worse. The Jews are still alive but a lot more are dead and if you have a Jewish character who is a Metahuman and a survivor of a concentration camp than just know that they would have to be in hiding since the Nazi's wouldn't want them to possibly show that non Aryan people could have incredible powers, so you can make a Jewish character just know that they would be wanted dead more than a non-Jewish rebel.

Disintegration- Jason, or "Duster", is able to release "bolts" of energy that disintegrate organic matter over the course of about thirty seconds of pure agony. However the range of the bolts is a little less than 60 feet. Inorganic matter like stones takes about twice as long to disintegrate while metals take three times as long. The "bolts" as he calls them are much like lighting bolts in appearance and function, arching through the air towards organic material like lighting goes to metals. This is advantageous in urban environments were a hit is almost guaranteed once in range. However once in forested regions the accuracy is vastly reduced, more likely to hit trees than anything else.

Equipment: An experimental armor that provides superb protection against small fire but does not measure up to the higher caliber bullets of LMGs or high power rifles. Like most armor it does not hold up well to sustained fire.

A Thompson sub machine gun, standard issue.

3 standard fragmentation grenades

Personality: A "no nonsense" way of thinking, Jason isn't one for games or jokes and is labeled as a stick in the mud by other soldiers. However his determination is admirable and nonetheless he is well liked by the others for his inability to quit and wisdom. A man of faith, Jason looks to the lord for guidance and is a firm rock that many other religious soldiers latch onto, giving him a paternal feel.

History: Isn't much to tell really. Jason grew up out in the Midwest, worked at his fathers goods store, and went to school. Never went to collage though, could never pay the fees. All in all life was simple, wake up, open up the shop, sell some things, close shop, go to bed. However when the call for duty came Jason answered and quickly signed up. During a simple escort mission things got a little hairy.

The convoy his unit was escorting got hit by Nazi soldiers, the soldiers weren't that much of a threat. However the Metahuman accompanying them was. No matter what the unit threw at him the bullets would just redirect in different directions, usually back at the soldiers that shot them. As he his comrades in arms die in front of him something in Jason awoke. Focusing all of his anger and hate at the German, he let flow through him and out came the first bolt he ever through. Colliding with the Metahuman and sending him into a screaming mess as his body turned to dust in front of his eyes.

Since then he has been placed with the other Metahumans to form a deadly force of soldiers.

Personality:John is smart and funny, often cracking jokes even if the situation is dire. He also feels the need to save everyone, which has gotten him into trouble on more than one occasion.
History:John came into this world on January 14th, 1924. His parents,famous political figures, were overjoyed to have him. However, by the time John was 6, anone could tell there was something a little different about him. He just radiated light. It was hard to see in the day but at night, he was like a faint light in the darkness. John eventually got control over his powers and by 1940 he was ready to leave for college. Until Britain was invaded. His parents were killed and John went straight to Churchill to convince him that metahumans were needed if they were to survive. So John joined a group to try and keep Britain free. It failed. Now they are hiding with other members of the government and they are fighting to free they're country.

I like the character but I do have one problem which is his disintegration ability. Since it is a beam and very destructive if it hits its target, I would like you to make make it close range or not very fast and he will be accepted.

I would like some more information about him in his history and you need to fix some of the grammar, do that and he will be excepted.

Peters powers relate entirely to; and are based upon, other metahumans in the world. Scientists propose that with the nature of Peter's powers, he is perhaps one of the greatest chances scientists have to understanding how metahuman abilities work.
-Power Detection: Peter has the ability to inherently 'sense' the location of any being with superhuman powers. If he focuses on any one source, he can generally give a good guess as to what they have, although he is sometimes wrong. This power activates on sight of other people, but if he concentrates, he can extend its effective range to up to a mile.
-Power Amplification: Peter has the ability to temporarily magnify the power of his allies abilities, by touching them and then focusing on their power, willing it to become stronger. This effect lasts for about two minutes, and after two or three doses to his allies will leave him feeling drained.
-Power Nullification: If Peter manages to lay a hand on one of his enemies, he can effectively turn their power off for as long as he can sustain the power through use of willpower and stamina. However he is quite reluctant to use this, as it VERY quickly drains on his stamina and requires a deal of focus.

Personality:
Pete is a no nonsense military man at his core. He is not at all religious, the only higher power he cares about are his orders. He as a general rule does not form personal connections, as any and all people that he had formed connections to were ripped away from him. He is endlessly in debt to the military, because he believes they gave him everything he has. He is a superb soldier, he'd fight to the last breath for his country, and an excellent sniper.
History:
Peter was born to a military family, with his father and mother being high ranking in the military. As metahumans began to pop up, they began to realize their young sons power and true potential. They chose to being militaristic-ally indoctrinating him, though this was illegal to do such a thing to a child, the military was willing to keep it hush-hush in order to attain a superior soldier. Their logic is "When he saves us, no one will be concerned about how he was made." He was trained from age five, and his parents were extremely careful to put maximum distance between themselves and him so that he would not rely on any social bonds. He was trained to be a solo hyper-lethal sniper unit, but he can be forced to work with a team. Having already been working covert ops destroying Nazi targets even before America was officially involved in the war, he was soon placed on a more official metahuman strike team to combat the threat.

Their logic is "When he saves us, no one will be concerned about how he was made." He was trained from age five, and his parents were extremely careful to put maximum distance between themselves and him so that he would not rely on any social bonds. He was trained to be a solo hyper-lethal sniper unit, but he can be forced to work with a team. Having already been working covert ops destroying Nazi targets even before America was officially involved in the war, he was soon placed on a more official metahuman strike team to combat the threat.

Personality: Viktoriya is a firecracker, her personality as explosive as her temper. Her charm leans towards the seductive side of the spectrum, and she uses this to her advantage. Despite what looks might tell you, Viktoriya is extremely bright and dangerously cunning; Ms. Romanoff is not one to cross.
History: Viktoriya was born to poor Russian farmers, the youngest of 13 children. Her Papa taught her the virtues of a hard days work, while her mother taught her the advantages of being a woman. Powers of appearance manipulation began to surface at 10, and at 15 she was ripped away from her home by a Russian governmental agency and labeled a "Metahuman." This agency taught her how to use these powers, how to control them and use them for 'good.' Until the war there had been no need for Viktoriya, but now she seemed to be their greatest weapon.

Personality: Outwardly outgoing, friendly, and upstanding. Could easily be called a gentle giant, although he is generally aware of his strength and tries his best to not accidentally harm people with it. While not brilliantly book smart, he is also reasonably intelligent when it comes to practical matters from his years in the military. On the other hand, while he is reasonably warm to everyone, only a few people are truly close to him. He suffers from hair-trigger rages that have alienated several of the people he once considered good friends, as well as his ex-wife and children. When angered this way, Murray loses any pretense of self control and can be extremely dangerous to anyone who gets in his way.

History: Murray has been around for a very long time- he first fought for the Confederacy as a young boy in the American Civil War. Since that time, he has felt obligated to use his slow aging and inhuman endurance to serve his country every time it went to war. Although he had the best of intentions, this constant lifelong struggle has had a troubling effect on his mind and body, and he's starting to show symptoms of arthritis as well as the disorder that will eventually come to be known as PTSD. Still, when duty called, he came to fight again, knowing that world safety could hinge on an allied victory and wanting to be there to help ensure that happens.

Equipment: The other half of a pair of dog tags, M1 Carbine rifle. The dog tag has the phrase 'save our souls' etched into the back of it with a sharp piece of rock.

Personality: He's incomparably quiet and bookish, and yet his presence seems to be as big as whatever room he's in. Ever since his escape, he's been playing it safe by staying under the radar and playing second fiddle to Murray. The truth is though, under his withdrawn demeanor is the heart of a fighter, and Mendel is nothing if incredibly brave and reckless. There's an inner fire that motivates him to great heights, although it sometimes also puts him in harms way. He almost always seems to be on the edge of seething over, as if he's carefully waiting for his time to take revenge for what was done to him in the past. Still, he was very young when the war began, and his inexperience still shows. He's bound to make all kinds of harrowing mistakes on his path to comeuppance, and only time will tell if he can learn enough to make it out of this alive.

To the Nazis he was simply another soul to crush, and he along with the whole of his family found themselves directly in the center of the horrors from this war. However what Mendel didn't know at the time was that his suffering would take a drastic turn toward a whole new level of sinister. Hitler wished to use supermen to rule the world, but not before he used so-called 'sub humans' to test the lethality of his soldiers. An entire mob of them where let loose on the camp where Mendel was imprisoned, free to do what they wished to the people being held there. In the ensuing chaos, Mendel was savagely attacked by one metahuman in particular, a man who resembled a monstrous wolf.

He thought for sure he was going to die, and indeed that was probably very much the intention. As he lay there bleeding to death, he lost consciousness. He didn't know how much later it was, but he awoke to the smell of fire and burning bodies. All around him, prisoners and Nazi soldiers alike had been viciously murdered, and several tankers of gasoline had somehow ignited to form a massive explosion. Whats more, he was still near death, in no better condition then he had been before. Then, out of nothing, a hand reached out and grabbed him, pulling him from the fiery remains of that tragic place.

And semblance of a relationship between Murray and Mendel has been a long time coming, but the shared bond of war has kept them together through everything despite their differences. When it became clear that Mendel wanted to fight, Murray taught him to use a gun and mobilized him as an American soldier, helping him develop fake identities to stay hidden from the Nazis. They are brothers, and their ability to work together in the field grows stronger with each combat situation they find themselves in. Mendel still wishes to discover the truth about what happened to him at the camp and the true nature of his powers, something which Murray is attempting as much as he can to assist with.

History: Born into an unremarkable life in Hamburg,Germany Joachim was an all around average child, but when something sparked his interest he showed his true side a unfeeling, highly logical, brute at least that's what most of his teachers and bullies called him and throughout most of his childhood and teenage years that's what people labeled him with.

When Joachim turned 16 he found himself revering then Chancellor of Germany Adolf Hitler, in young Joachim's mind Hitler was a god he became apart of the Hitler Youth and there he trained hard wanting to make the Fatherland and Hitler proud, When he turned 18 he enlisted in the S.S and there he served Hitler proudly and even volunteered for experiments on himself to become super human an experience which at first many didn't survive but through it the triumph of his spirit or his patriotism he survived where others failed.

Joachim used his new powers to benefit the fatherland and he really used them on the 10th of may 1940 the Battle of France there he fought and killed in the Fatherlands name crushing his enemies before him enjoying the murder and blood sport a month and twelve days later France fell to the Nazis.

Two years later Joachim found only a little peace the S.S unit he was attached to was moved to the Soviet-German Border and told to stay put and there Joachim stays awaiting that order to kill, burn, and maim in the name of The Fatherland once again.

Personality: Craig is a charismatic soldier hellbent on trying to make the best out of any situation. He tries to befriend as many allies as possible and in no way tries to push people away.
History: Craig was born in Liverpool to a miner father and a factory working mother. Growing up was hard for him, there was a lot of racism surrounding black people in Britain and there still was even when black soldiers were let into the army. His father and mother were both paid less than the usual wage and so it was hard to buy any quality goods. Even Craig's house was poorly maintained and plagued with numerous damp spots that made it hard for Craig to be any more than a bit sickly. The kids around his street weren't so bad, they weren't nearly as racist as their parents who would hardly let them be around Craig if they saw them with him.

His teen years weren't great, he was hardly allowed into many highschools let alone university and with the small amount of money his parents made it wasn't like a good university was a viable option for him. He did study mechanics in his spare time though and eventually got a job at a mechanics just before the war started. He was a prodigy with a toolbox at that mechanics, and he had bright future ahead with the kindly seemingly non-racist old man who ran the mechanics and paid Craig fair wage for his work for the short time he worked there. When the war started Craig was quickly drafted in. Bootcamp was hard, his drill instructor wasn't as racist as he could have been but he sure gave Craig a hard time at the camp. Overall the hardened training actually did Craig more good than bad and he actually had a mutual respect between him and his instructor during the last few weeks of training.

He was drafted into the trenches, the worst part of the war. He sat for hours on end just waiting for the enemy to make their move. It was in the very trench he sat bored for hours that he discovered his powers. It seemed that they manifested a lot later than they could have and Craig was extremely unprepared for his newfound speed. He woke up staring at the guy next to him rising from his bed in a much slower pace than usual. And by much slower I mean around 250x slower than usual. Craig arose from his bed and began to explore the trenches, it was happening everywhere. Just then, the axis made their move. They rose from their trench and charged the allied trench. Of course at a much slower rate than usual. Craig picked them off like target practice and just plain beat up the other ones after he had ran out of ammo. He began to slowly understand what was happening and began to cope with this rapid change to his life. He began to figure out ways to keep time moving at the right speed along with having him moving at the right speed. He's now mastered the art of slowing and normalizing time in his eyes along with coping with his speed.

Appearance: Wilhelm has the appearance of a typical Aryan. He has blond hair, blue eyes, and a body thick with well developed muscles, perfect for a warrior. He stands at around 6’5 and is almost constantly seen wearing his German military uniform.

Fire resistance: Wilhelm has a natural resistance to flames and heat. He can stand temperatures up to 70oC, and doesn't get burned when walking through fire of any kind.

Fire manipulation: He can manipulate and will fire to take new shapes and speeds within a 3 meter radius. Using this power Wilhelm can launch fireballs, make a wall of flames, and propel him from the floor with jets of flames etc. If any of the flames he controls exits his sphere of influence it will continue travelling in the direction it was, until it either runs out of speed, hits an object or runs out of fuel and dies. The simplest moves like throwing a fire ball use the less energy and can be done almost indefinitely as long as there is fire available. Moves like creating a ball of fire to surround him, would take a lot more energy and would only work for at most a minute before Wilhelm became exhausted.

Flame Aura: With this power Wilhelm can cover himself and his clothes with his own flames. To continuously use this power constantly drains his energy, the amount varies depending on how much fire he creates. Usually he focuses it onto his hands and forearms, which he can keep alight for half an hour before becoming exhausted.

Flame teleportation: Wilhelm can use this power to teleport short distances as long as two conditions are met; the first is that he can see the location he wants to teleport to; the second is that there has to be a fire there. The first rule can only be ignored if Wilhelm knows the destination very well and is certain that there is a fire there, for example his house or his military base, which has a fire kept lit for him 24/7. The longer he travels the more energy it takes; for example he could teleport 10m around 20 times before exhausting himself, he could teleport 200m around 5 times, any longer and he could only do it once before becoming unable to use any of his powers except flame resistance. If he wants to travel a mile or more then he would have to rest for a few hours straight after teleporting.

Weapons : An MP40, a Mauser HSc pistol and a small hand length dagger

Clothing: This facemask which has been built from a heat resistant metal and is stylized to look like an open mouth full of long fanglike teeth. He wears a black spandex suit with sleeves that end at the elbows; it is made from heat fire resistant fabric. Placed onto the center of the chest is the symbol of a wolf’s head bursting into flames. He also wears German military boots and helmet.

Over his spandex suit, Wilhelm wears his German military uniform, proudly displaying his swastika armband for all to see.

Personality: Wilhelm is a very obedient soldier. He receives orders from his higher ups and he completes them, no questions and no complaints. He does not shy away from violence and often embraces it, almost delighting in the pain he causes others. As a person however, he tries to separate this side of him as much as possible, not because he dislikes it but because he believes it to be the right thing to do. He is extremely loyal to his friends and is willing to risk his life to protect those close to him.

History: Brought up in the Hitler Youth project, Wilhelm was quickly indoctrinated into the Nazi idealism, he grew up inside a Germany that was still recovering from WWI and to him and many others, Hitler and his promises was a beacon in the dark times and he gathered many to him. Shortly after he joined the Hitler Youth, Wilhelm was found to have special abilities and was taken in by the government and brought into a facility to train him in both his abilities and skills as a soldier.
His skill with flames and loyalty to the German cause led to Wilhelm being dubbed Höllenhund or ‘Hellhound’. Once he reached 20 and they had run each of their tests to the limit, Hellhound was released into the war, like so many other German super humans.

everything seems fine, but remember if your character has super speed then they are faster than most vehicles but are not fast enough to dodge bullets at close range or a hailstorm of bullets at long range. Also make sure to keep the electricity control toned down. other than that he's accepted

Moves like creating a ball of fire to surround him, would take a lot more energy and would only work for at most a minute before Wilhelm became exhausted.Flame Aura: With this power Wilhelm can cover himself and his clothes with his own flames. To continuously use this power constantly drains his energy, the amount varies depending on how much fire he creates. Usually he focuses it onto his hands and forearms, which he can keep alight for half an hour before becoming exhausted.Flame teleportation: Wilhelm can use this power to teleport short distances as long as two conditions are met; the first is that he can see the location he wants to teleport to; the second is that there has to be a fire there. The first rule can only be ignored if Wilhelm knows the destination very well and is certain that there is a fire there, for example his house or his military base, which has a fire kept lit for him 24/7. The longer he travels the more energy it takes; for example he could teleport 10m around 20 times before exhausting himself, he could teleport 200m around 5 times, any longer and he could only do it once before becoming unable to use any of his powers except flame resistance. Once he reached 20 and they had run each of their tests to the limit, Hellhound was released into the war, like so many other German super humans.
