2034, The city of Chicago
Ever since Illinois seceded from the United states in 2029 things have been on a heavy change.
A recent bill has been brought up by the Governor he is trying furiously to push it through. This very bill would change the lives of thousands as it requires all Magic Users to register and be kept track of publicly. Recent Crackdowns in poverty areas have created friction between the lower class Citizens of Chicago and it’s Law Enforcement. Companies buy up large areas of land and kick the occupants out of their home, riots happen daily in the streets as people rally to try and save their homes. Abductions of non Humans have increased in significant proportions, and Pro Human Purity Rallies have begun taking place frequently in the streets as well. To top this all off two Terrorist attacks have taken place, one of them a bombing of a Police Station, and the other a City Council Chambers that luckily no one was in. This has lead to a movement to have PMCs patrol the city streets with military grade weaponry alongside the police force.
All These Things coming together are creating a powder keg in the City of Chicago that seems like it could explode at any moment. Is it all coincidence? Will the city Destroy itself? What will you do in your part in this story? Will you save the city, help destroy it, or will you simply stand by and watch. It’s your choice. You should make it quick though if you want to survive in Chicago.

Chicago PD: The Chicago Police department is half honorable and courageous men and half crooked and bribe taking criminals. These guys can either be your hero or your worst nightmare. You never know if they’re gonna stop the guy who’s mugging you or ask him for half of what he takes out of your pocket.
Aegius Security: A pro american company that helps local towns with policing alongside the regular police departments. And providing anti terror units in place of swat teams. They are a very rich company that consists of only veterans of military from combat MOS'. They are under investigation for some arms dealing and other charges. Due to their much needed support the police will most likely look the other way unless someone can catch one of these acts and link it back to them and it go on the public news.
The Yakuza: One of the largest and most power crime syndicates in Chicago they have really flourished in the past few years, their money paying for many of the suits local Law Enforcement has been wearing. They have the claim on the Drug and Prostitute trade in the city and really don’t like it when someone closes in on their Turf.
Blood Den's: Pop up shops managed by Vampires that occasionally disappear and reappear all over town, where the Yakuza and Underhill MC sell crystal, marijuana, and cocaine, Blood Den's sell Eridium, or "E" a new drug that has risen in popularity over the past century (mostly among non-humans) and can only be grown, harvested and sold by Vampires. This is only their top selling product though, they sell numerous ingredients, poisons, enchantments, weapons, ammunition and implants that can't be found anywhere else, even armor. These Blood Den's as well as their employee's are all controlled by a master vampire known as Dante Hellsing.
Underhill Motorcycle Club: The Underhill Motorcycle Club is known for being halflings but is accepting of every race and creed. Most of the business he gets is in the Drug and Arms business, though his market has been closing up for a few years now due to the rising power of the Yakuzas. He mainly runs the bar at the club and does the heavier Jobs they get from time to time. His gang is known for the discreetness and connection, so many people come to him for help or odd things that need to be done. They have also been taking on more and more theft jobs lately from the higher ups and have been collecting a good amount of change. In his spare time Rig has also been taking assassination Jobs from some of the more powerful people running the government, he works only with a small team of assassin halflings, despite how hard he's tried to keep those operations discreet, word has got out.
Algera Corp: A leading producer in Pharmaceuticals, firearms, and Bionics. They hire only the finest security firms in Illinois and have plenty of money to throw around when they need to.
Vinewood Productions: Every stadium, night club, tv/radio station, movie theatre, pretty much any form of entertainment is owned by Vinewood, they rake in an income that could only be rivaled with the Algera Corp.
Fine Print Investigating Services: Victor runs his own private detective service, Fine Print Investigative Services, and he'll take just about any client, for any reason. Its only him, living out of what loosely conforms to the idea of an office. It is located on the border between the Non-Human suburbs, Elf Haven, and Corporate HQ's, which gives him a lot of traffic of all kinds, though not all of them are looking for him for good reasons.
Chicago Public Library: The largest public library in Chicago. The library is open to anyone anywhere and anyone can check out a book as long as they have a library card attributed to the library. CPL is centrally located and is located above and houses a secret vault containing the national repository and archive of magical artifacts and spells protected by a two foot thick titanium vault door that weighs about six tons with a fingerprint lock, eye print lock, electronic combination, and rotary combination with a glass wall failsafe.
The Chicago Times: A relatively mediocre company with a relatively mediocre paper.
OPERATION FREEDOM: is a terrorist organization. No one knows where they are, who is in the group, or who leads it. It is only know that they seek to reclaim the city from it’s corrupt government and companies.
