Switchville, an average town full of average people in modern-day Northern Maine, U.S.A.
Due to my personal lazyness, this won't be an immensely fleshed out town. Just a bullet list of important places!
The Highschool:
Switchville High is, truly, your average high school. Big, in a poor state of repair, rooms either too hot or too cold, and completely unsatisfactory bathrooms!
It isn't the most spread-out school, instead putting its size to a smaller ground area and adding a third floor- More stairs for the students. The P.E teachers were thrilled. Most of the classrooms are decently sized, and surprisingly, the gymnasium and cafeteria are actually rather nice! (Though the food still sucks.) The offered classes are the same as any high school, though a much larger array of electives is offered.
The Club:
Club Blowout, the ultimate place for students to go after hours and chill, get drunk, get high, and dance to some killer beats, from the town-renowned D.J, J.D. Nobody knows what J.D's real name is- Nobody even knows what he looks like, due to his habit of always performing in a hooded cloak and shiny golden mask, but -everyone- knows his beats.
While the club doesn't look like much, it could probably rival a decent -legal- club in facilities, if not looks. Pool tables, a fully stocked bar, space to fit a hundred people on the dancefloor alone, some of the best music equipment available, gambling tables, pool tables, and that inevitable little back room stocked with drugs from Weed to Coke. The only law this place seems to follow, is that the barkeep is an adult, some lazy, bored-looking dude named Joe. Everybody loves Joe. EVERYBODY DAMNIT!
The entire facility is underground, beneath a steel-mill that was abandoned once downtown was built around it, to keep the noise down. It's been thoroughly soundproofed and structurally supported to keep it a secret from the cops, and prevent it from killing a hundred people by collapsing...
Downtown:
Downtown is, really, just like an other normal-sized city's downtown! A large area in the middle of the city limits, littered with shops of all sorts, from numerous bars and pubs, to craftshops, to a (Rather nice) theater playing all the latest films. There's even a small hotel around here somewhere... Not that anybody -visits- Switchville. The usual strip of fast-food places is down the road from the usual strip of actual diners and restaurants, etcetera etcetera. You get the point, it's a totally normal city downtown.
The Prison:
Not much to be said or seen about the 'prison'. It's simply a police station with a dozen or so cells in the back. The -actual- prison is a few miles out of the city limits. Nobody sees much of it, seeing as the town's a bit.... Lenient, on the drug policies, most of the highschoolers caught with drugs of any sort only held for a few days with a brief probation. Really, not the most lawful town in the world.
This section will grow as the RP goes on and we make more places. >.>

Once we decide on what the town will be like and I update this post, more fun shall be had. Now, before any others wish to join! We have, at the current time, five players, including myself. There are only five more spots available. And this story? It has a twist! You make a character.... But you don't get to play it! Nope, when you make your character, you -trade- it with somebody else. They play your creation, and you play somebody else's! (This does, however, mean that once the IC begins, we can only accept if there are two people, so that they can swap characters without somebody else having to lose the one they've been with. Well, unless somebody- probably me- offers up some time to make you an extra character to have. :P)
If that idea turns you away, so be it! On to the story itself.

This RP will be, in general, a slice-of-life thing. Cliche? Yes! But a cliche can be fun when you throw your own twists into it, with more than one person involved! We'll start out with the best kind of cliche slice-of-life.... Highschool! That's right, freshmen to seniors, those are the characters we'll be making. Other than being a highschooler, there are zero bars on your character, within the realms of realism. So, no.... Superheroes, or anything like that. Just normal people, perhaps with abnormal hobbies or quirks. Criminal? Go for it! Goody-two-shoes class prez jackass? Go for it! Lazy pot-head? Do it! Anything goes as long as it's something you would see in a highschool. (This doesn't have to mean a -normal- highschool. Gods know I'm abnormal. XD)
However, over time, the story will grow in depth. The plan, mostly, is to have a mafia or gang branch slowly worm its way into Switchville, raising crime rates and causing trouble. Maybe our characters will get involved, be it willingly or unwillingly. Maybe they'll be lucky enough to stay out of it.... For a time. However, countless other stories could develop! After all, real life has no set boundaries that we can predict. Maybe we'll lose a person or two because they go to the same college, and start their own tale there! Maybe a romance will break out, or everybody dies in a tragic bus accident. Maybe a plague will punch the town in the face with its giant fist of maggots death and locus- Wait, wrong RP.... Maybe other normal things will happen! It's all up to you people, players~.
