Name: Unnamed, as of yet.Age: 13Skills: Sneaking, stealing, sniffing out treasure. Ability: Hypnotic eyes (weak), flight, good sense of direction, fire-breather.Appearance: Quadruped dragon with a long, serpentine tail and wings big enough to fly with. Has fin-like ears and a thorny ridge along its spine and tail. About as big as a medium-sized dog. Black scales, gold eyes. Personality: A bit of a loner, even before its family perished. Being the runt of the litter meant being left out most of the time from playing and feeding, so it learned from a very early age that it had to depend on itself. Very crafty and resourceful, as well as survival oriented- its own survival, that is. It can be pretty self-centered and its number one priority will most likely always be itself. Despite the rough start though, this is still a very young dragon, so there is some playfulness and naivete underneath the rough exterior. It likes chasing animals smaller than it and especially likes shiny, jingling things. Can be a bit of a hoarder, as is natural for its species.Backstory: Dragons aren’t what they used to be. The very large ones have no business being in a city anyways, as its difficult to find a large enough den to hide in and there isn’t much food to hunt. Sure, there are humans everywhere, but the second a dragon is spotted the knights will storm the nest and slay the dragon, smashing all the eggs while they're at it. Dragons are basically vermin that needed to be exterminated, the young ones especially before they become big enough to cause havoc.Which was what happened to this particular dragon’s mother and siblings. She had been trying to find food for her newly hatched kin and accidentally alerted the guards. They tailed her back to her nest, an old abandoned warehouse with a basement large enough to serve as a den. After a long, arduous battle that lasted through the night, the Mother Dragon was slain and her children were shown no mercy either. Many knights had a grudge towards dragons, a sort of ancestral hatred that had been passed down through the generations, and in their opinion the only good dragon was a dead one. However, they missed one. The runt of the litter was spared inadvertently, as it had been curled up in a ventilation shaft to keep warm. The sounds of the battle had awoken it but it stayed hidden until it ended. After seeing its mother fall, it fled through the shaft and managed to find its way to the topside world, where it had to survive on its own without a mother from that point on. Those were rough times, seeing as it was only a hatchling, but dragons are nothing if not resilient, and it was small enough that feeding off of rats was more than enough to fill its belly. Now, 13 years later, this runt is a street-smart, scaly little thief just trying to survive in a hostile modern world.
