Name: Alanna Monroe
Age: 23
Appearance:
Weight: 130 Ibs
Height: 5'5
Personality: If, say, one wasn't completely lost in the middle of nowhere on a desert island then Alanna would be an upstanding citizen. Working two part time jobs, finishing her last year in college and maintaining a well-known blog on fashion. Of course, having skills in designing clothing is really no particular set of skills but hey. Alanna is the type of girl that screams at things if:
- they look weird
- they skitter
- they have more than two legs
Apart from that though, she's quite a decent girl and is usually good at bringing people together. Her cheery mood is very rarely interrupted and you'd be hard pressed to find her in a distasteful mood.
History: I would really love to tell you that Alanna was the only daughter of some famous adventurer and that she was a natural at it. Unfortunately and yet fortunately, Alanna was born to a pair of completely normal parents in suburban New York. Ever since a young age, she was always drawing and designing things, that was just who she was and she was always rather good at it. Another thing she was amazing at was making friends - seriously, Alanna was like the perfect storm of cheery moods and it would take a lot to dim it down even a little.
People liked her, she was pretty and generally really easy to get along with. When she was a teenager, life was easy - she never suffered like others did at the hands of bullies. In fact she was like a little UN peace envoy and brought bully and bully-victim together into harmony. Ok, she may not have been
that good but she was pretty good at it. As she became older, she became more and more interested in fashion and quite suddenly the idea of becoming a fashion designer latched on.
So, she got to college and did rather well and was just about to finish when bam! Life decides to take all her lemons away and cause a severe engine-failure to sprout in her plane. That would be able to be dealt with if it wasn't for the fact that they were in the middle of the Pacific. Long story short, she goes through the most terrifying few moments of her life were she's certain she's going to die before she receives a nasty hit to the head and is knocked out cold. Her seating arrangement after that was probably what saved her when her body naturally floated free from the wreck.
Belongings: All she had was a light backpack slung over her shoulder with some pretty useless items when it comes to surviving on islands. It contains her iPod (probably broke), hairbrush, sketchbook, some pencils, headache tablets, some plasters and finally, a picture of her mum, dad and her older sister. Her glasses are in a protective case in her bag as well but they have a pretty high chance of being messed up.
Biggest fear/disability:
Were does one even begin with a creature of such colossal cowardice. First of all, the thought of being completely alone and being drove crazy (like in castaway) is almost as terrifying as anything that crawls, skitters or launches itself at her. Bug repellent is a constant in her life, like her glasses or that picture of her family. As mentioned, she does need glasses otherwise things get way too blurry for comfort and she has to deal with splitting headaches and the inability to focus.
