The Mad Hatter ... All the best people are

Member Seen 11 mos ago

G'morning, everyone!

I came home from fishing pretty late, aste something, saw that lots had been posted, read nothing and went to bed.
We caught twelve flounders and an eel! :-D

So... Time to Hat, I guess.

Good thing we are only talking about spelling and not Grammar >.> all them parenthesizes, commas, and all that other confusing stuff ha...ha...ha...

My God, if I had to change my grammar and shit to fit the English/American type, I'd die. I tried it once, when I was younger, but it messed up my danish grammar instead xD

Onto the CS...

Honestly... Her background seems very weird to me. I can't really explain it, but the whole "attempted assassinations by clan members because she was too strong" just seems so unlikely. Like I said, I can't really explain it, but it all just feels so wrong...

As for the fact that she was born in Konoha and moved to Gobi... Well... That's kinda not what I meant when I said you could play a Hyuuga. I meant a lovechild/rapechild/paid-by-the-hour-child, like (mostly) the rest of us.

More will be up in a minute

Oh god did this mean you woke up and are posting at midnight, or the more reasonable answer is that your in another time zone? Anyway how was the fishing trip, catching anything good?

((Also, question is it possible for my character to be a Hyuuga and be born in Gobigakure as well?))

It's about 10 in the morning here. But she would post even if it were in the middle of the night.

And yes it's possible to be a Hyuuga descendant, born in Gobigakure. If you take a look at the approved characters (links in OP) you can see that most if not all of them have specified that at least one parent comes from another village.

So does this mean, the reason why the parent came over can be explained and have *Insert my character* Live her full life in Gobigakure without a weird journey to Gobigakure? ((And be friends with all the little Ninja Kids? :D))

Added two new traits to Ryuu if y'all approve. Just seemed right considering some more of his fleshed out backstory I'm getting mentally. One positive, one negative:

-Tactician. Ryuu is naturally adept at combat strategy and maximizing team efficiency. His mind sees the best possible route to accomplish something on the battlefield.

-Freezes up. Due to his past, coming into physical contact with men (whether combat or otherwise) will cause Ryuu to freeze up. The severity of this panic attack depends on the physical contact/man's demeanor. This is one of the primary reasons he focused upon blade work.

ChiniYuki:
In the OP it is explained that Gobigakure was a very popular place to visit for a while. So you wouldn't have to put much thought into a reason.

Pasta:
To start with, It's good someone finally grabbed the tactician. I was thinking about it for a while, but didn't want to be "that guy" (congratulations, you are not "that guy").

Second. Freezes up? Its hilarious.

These traits are fine and well, but I think I have to revisit your character to see everything in context before I give you the old thumbs up. Back in a sec...

Ryuu would kill him or die trying. I see potential story development if the group ever encounters one of those scum. Especially since Ryuu remembers most faces due to the sharingan.

That's as graphic as I'll get though. Molestation is a serious and sick thing. I write it into the back story cause it fits the character; but it certainly won't be trivialized or treated immaturely in my writing out of respect for those who have dealt with this.

Edit: Graci! Havltand. I considered consolidating tactician under Genius, but Genius has a different connotation in the naruto verse that just mental intelligence.

2nd Edit: forgot to mention, the instant I decided to add that all of you have been undergoing Pasta's Teamwork Evaluation. Through sub par knowledge of Psychology and mediocre intelligence regarding combat...I will have a chart in place to work out Team Strategy as our characters fight alongside each other more. :D be happy!

_Sighs_ Yeah, I understand that molestation is a bad thing, it was just meant as a joke but yeah I can see it disrespectful for people who were forced to deal with it, sorry Wont use it again :<

Oh, I didn't mean that statement against you so much as just clarifying my intentions towards the subject in the RP. Though agreed. Lol no worries

Before we do anything else. How the F is it possible for 100% of english-speakers who try to write my nickname without looking to go with the same spelling error?! It shouldn't be possible! XD

Onto the business. You are correct that tactician and genius are two very different things in the Narutoverse and only two characters in the series has had them both (Kakashi and Shikamaru). But this is a tough call. Having both genius and tactician... While at the same time being the kind of character you have.
Actually, now that I think about it, perhaps no one should start out with this trait (undertrained ninas, go!), but instead have to figure this shit out as we go along. That might fit the story and setting better. What do you think?

Woah thats sounds cool lol, I wounder what kind of unique combinations will be available. And not to forget, all the personalities be crashing upon each other almost as if it was a Drama. :P

@Halvtand, the tactician trait or the genius trait? I don't mind losing the genius one if we need the tactical. Whatever you prefer. It's not like we are deciding if Ryuu is a eunuch or not. :P

Eunuch it is then.

I was talking about the tactician trait. Having to figure out working strategies as we go along. Genius is more like something you're born with (unless you're Rock Lee).
But... If you're willing to drop the genius trait I don't see anything wrong with you taking the tactician... Of course you won't start out as Shikamaru, instantly figuring out weak spots and correct strategies that hinges on Kakashi following you to the fight despite never telling him about it...

lol I'll drop the genius then. He progresses at much the same rate as everyone else. I mean he's had the sharingan activated for years, and yet only at two tomoe. It might have been different had he a clan to train him, but alas no luck. I'm used to RPing strategists anyways...

Magneto...Tim Drake...Even did Lelouch from Code Geass once but that was a frigging pain. I'm smart, but not that smart. Especially without plot armor...

Edit: took out the Genius from traits and history. :)

Well, Lelouch's whole thing is pretty much based on everyone else having plot armor, not him.
"Oh no, we're outnumbered by superior forces!"
"that's ok, just move in behind them."
"We did it, but now we're surrounded!"
"No you're not, there's an unused exit to you left, arm the bomb and leave."
"Yay, we all got out alive and blew up the enemy forces. Good thing they didn't use basic military strategy like we thought they were."
"Yup, that's why I'm awesome. Now excuse me while I go and have an awkward friendship with my best enemy. ta-ta!"

I will say that there is one thing that always stood out to me in Code Geass versus Naruto. Even though they both had the same vibe towards romance (tease but nothing really happens), CG at least had female characters who didn't have their basis around men. Just saying :P

Well... Naruto has that as well. Temari, Tenten, Tsunade, Tsunade's assistant who's name escapes me... But of course it all depends on your definition of "based on men".

But...

Wow... You're being active xD

*ahem*

@ChibiYuki;
The rest of my evaluation of your character:
I had the feeling (or gave the feeling, rather) that you were going to have your character be a medic as it's main focus and a Hyuuga as it's second focus, if you get what I'm trying to say? That was why I suggested making a Hyuuga medic.
The Mad Hatter said
Personally, I think the Medic would be a good idea. Medics need to be intelligent and are extremely adept at chakra control, as that is the potency they need to perform the Mystical Palm. They are trained to stay out of the line of fire as their main goal is to keep alive so they can keep their team alive.

Normally, I would never suggest this, but you could make a Hyuuga Medic. Since the leader of the village is a Hyuuga that actually came from Konoha and knows the Hyuuga techniques and all, he probably wouldn't want another Hyuuga around, though. He's only the leader because of his KG and his potency at using it, after all.
It would give your character the possiblity of fighting back, though.

Hyuuga are naturally good at chakra control, they can release chakra from every chakra point in their body, they have "X-Ray" vision (and tons of jokes made about it) ... They make great medics, even without their clan styles and techniques.
And as I said (and now quoted) the leader of the village (Hyuuga Dude) probably would not want to train another Hyuuga in the Hyuuga arts, since these skills are the reason he is the top dog.

You and Halvtand already talked about the background stuff, so assume that is taken care of?

@Pasta;
The "Freezes Up" trait is a nice, human trait to add. It gives the character a personality boost. Thumbs up for that.
And you and Halvtand already fixed the issue I would have had with the tactician trait, so that's good, too.

@About the "Based on Men" issue;
Honestly, most women IRL are like that, so it makes sense that they make it that way in fiction, too... Throughout most of human history (until not that long ago) a woman's job was to make her man happy. Lots of women (most women) still act like that...
