In Japan, Hope's Peak Academy is an exclusive school, where only the most exceptional students were accepted in. In the U.S., another academy was created in Washington D.C. to rival such marvelous expectations - Liberty Academy. This academy had set up the same expectations as Hope's Peak Academy, and was set to rival them, if not for a group of despaired filled individuals. The Ultimate Despair was an organization that induced despair into the hearts of many, and caused many to fall to their cause. They infiltrated the Hope's Peak Academy in hopes... Or despairs? Eh whatever, of showing the world that there was nothing but despair laid out across this land. Sixteen teenagers at Hope's Peak were forced into a sick and twisted game by the Ultimate Despairs leader, and the fiendish Monokuma. Only a few of the students there survived their twisted plans, and escaped with their lifes intact.

In the U.S., the organization infiltrated Liberty Academy, attempting to show yet again that there is no hope left at all in the world.

The students there are now trapped in the academy, and are forced into the same messed up game set up by the murderous Monokuma and a member of the Ultimate Despair - the Mastermind. It is a game of life and death, deception and deduction, where the only way to escape is to murder someone and get away with it. When someone is killed, there will be a timed investigation in which the students must deduct whodunit. Afterwards, a class trial will take place, in which they must discover who the killer is. If the killer manages to fool them, they will be set free, while the other students must face a harsh punishment - death. However, if the students are able to deduct who the killer is, they will live, but the killer will be sentenced to a gruesome and ironic death.

This is the ultimate game of hope and despair. Will you escape the now despair filled academy with your life intact? And will you be able to figure out who the mastermind is?

Basic Rules

1. Basic Rules for the Casual Roleplay Section must be abided by. This includes no meta, godmoding, etc.

2. Please try to come up with a new SHSL title for your character that is unique.

3. At least get a paragraph per post in. Remember, this is Casual Roleplay.

4. Please don't reply unless a few others (two or more) have posted before you. Liberty Academy has expectations you know.

5. Only a maximum of two characters will be created, however, expect one of them to die at least, because nobody is getting out of here alive with two characters.

6. Killers, Victims, and The Mastermind - These are decided through motives, pms, and such. If no one is a killer or a victim after a while (lots of motives presented and such), I will choose one. Sorry, but the show must go on. The Mastermind will be decided with a pm to me.

7. Starting up OOC drama will result in punishment. No seriously, I will give you a couple of warnings before getting rid of you in the roleplay (a.k.a. you become the victim forcibly).

School Rules

1. There is no time limit on how long the students can stay here at the school. The only way to leave os through graduation, which means the student who murdered someone must win a class trial.

2. "Nighttime" is from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Some areas are off-limits during this time, so please exercise caution

3. Students may only sleep in the dormitories. Sleeping anywhere else will be seen as sleeping in class and will result in punishment.

4. With minimal restrictions, feel free to explore the academy at your own discretion.

5. Violence against your wonderful and sexy dean is prohibited, as well as the destruction of surveilence cameras.

6. Any student here who killed another student can graduate if they convince their classmates that they didn't do it in a class trial. If the killer succeeds, they go free, while you all get punished! However, if you genius's deduct whodunit, the killer will be punished instead!

7. After three students, not including the killer, discovers a body, a body discovery announcement will be made. After the announcement is made, your wonderful dean will upload a Monokuma File onto your electronic handbook. This will tell you the details of their deaths, but not the evidence or killer.

8. I will add extra rules if necessary.

OOC IC Stuff

1. There will be Monokuma coins! I'm pretty sure you guys know what to do with these. All characters start out with 5, and will receive a random item from a Monokuma Dispenser Machine Thingy. Yes, I just said thingy.

2. Each time a class trial takes place, a new floor of the school will be unlocked. There will be a total of 5-6 trials, so yeah, this is arced.

3. Liberty Academy will have the same layout as Hope's Peak Academy since I'm too much of a lazy ass to come up with a map design.

4. If you fail a class trial, you will unlock an alternate ending! Its kind of like the fifth trial from Dangan Ronpa, except you failed horribly. Only one character will realize who actually did it, and will have to figure out how to convince the cast it was them. Fail again, time keeps looping until you do it right... Yeah. This is sort of here to avoid metagaming by other cast members even though it is metagaming. Quite contradictory, huh.

5. You will still have most of your stuff you brought with you to Liberty Academy. This included clothes, and any other item of interest. Laptops and other electronic devices (besides your Cellphone and Electronic Handbook (given later in the roleplay)) are taken away. After the first trial, you will find a couple of laptops in the library, so they aren't completely out of the picture... I hope none of you know how to make a fully functional a.i.

6. If you are marked as an essential player, a person cannot choose to murder you. All characters here are essential until the murderer chooses three victims. Only one of the students here shall stay permanently and secretly essential until the final trial. All marked will have a * by their number.

7. If you are inactive for quite some time and never give me a reason why, you will automatically be a victim. Like I said before, the story must go on. Sorry, but that's the way things go around here.

Personality:Sam is an optimistic and modest guy with high hopes for the future, despite his moody appearence. He is pretty easygoing, and he isn't the guy to lash out at anyone without a good reason. Usually when others are in trouble, he will be the first to step in and try to help the person get over their problems.

Due to his protective nature, he would do anything to help the person, whether its jumping through rings of fire, disarming a bomb, anything to help the person. This makes a lot of people worried for him, asking him to not push himself to far. Sam will often dismiss them by saying to relax, and that everything will be fine.

Likes: Mystery books, turkey sandwiches, his friends, and determination.

Dislikes: Liars, knives, fights, and hurting others (Mentally mainly).

Strengths: Guardian

Strengths*:

Moral: Sam is considered a goody two shoes, and sometimes even a buzzkill by his own friends because of his (sort of) idealistic nature. Sam doesn't easily give into any type of temptation and will try to usually do the right thing. He also will try and avoid hurting people mentally or physically... if he can anyways.

Friendly: Sam will try and be outright nice to you as soon as you meet him. He won't judge on appearances, and he doesn't care on how popular you are or your social status.

Level-Headed: Even in a heated situation, Sam easily keeps a cool head. It doesn't matter how bad something is, he keeps his head high in hopes of making it through, even if he is failing.

Weaknesses:

Curious: Sam will usually stick his nose in places where it doesn't belong. This can make him seem nosy at times, despite his helpful nature.

Reckless: Remember how I said he would jump through rings of fire, and disarm C4's to help someone? He will do this just to help someone.

Lying: Sam is an outright horrible liar. He rarely pulls off his lie, and often just ends up confessing in the end.

Fears:

Knives: Sam is an Aichmophobiac... Sort of. He generally has a fear of knives and hates them. Want him to cut up carrots? Nope, you get mashed carrots instead.

Decisions: During his life, Sam has come to different paths in the road. He fears making the wrong choice, as it could impact a person in a bad way... I mean he will make decisions, but he is just fearful of making the wrong decision.

His Past: Due to a part in his past that got pretty damn bloody, he has a general fear of it. He tries too keep himself from repeating that one mistake at all costs, because that mistake costed most of his friends lives.

Birth Town: Enid, Oklahoma

Bio:Ever since he was a young boy, Sam always had a knack for helping people, no mattee how impossible the situation was... Whether it was from helping his older brother with a project or assisting in reconstructing a home claimed by a fire, he always was there ready to help. Over the years, the boy gained recognition throughout the town, and eventually gained the attention of a wealthy business man through saving the man's son from a bunch of punks attempting to rob the child. He decided to test Sam out by asking him to perform in a series of simulated tasks. At first, Sam declined, but eventually decided to take up his offer when he became a freshman in high school.

At first, the tasks presented to him were easy to complete (helping someone get over their addiction, stopping a petty fight, all that good stuff), but eventually these tasks started increasing in difficulty as the days passed on by (stopping a gang war, helping a thick headed person from committing suicide, etc.) The man was bewildered by the different methods he used, and how he didn't even commit one violent act throughout the whole thing. After a few more tests, he decided to endorse the boy, expanding Sams popularity as a result. Others were skeptical about Sams talent at first, believing him to be a brat that just want popularity, but he overcame their skepticism and proved to them that he was a helping hand and not some attention starved teen. Sam did live up to his talent, but he eventually went back to his old life after his popularity declined. Sam didn't care, and continued going forward, lending a helping hand to the people of his town.

Appearance: Cleo stands at the height of 5'10, with chocolate colored flawless skin, she has an oblong shaped face with circular chin, small nose, on her face she wears green makeup over her eyes with black eye linger and matching colored lipstick on her full lips, and she has blue eyes, on her head is black hair that stop at her shoulders, with her hair line stopping at the middle of her forehead, on the sides of her head she has braids that hang in the wind with golden adornments to keep them tied up, with the rest of her hair just loose to catch the breeze. Cleo has a mesomorph build with noticeable muscles on her arms and stomach, with an above average bosom ,she has really small hands and feet that she feels self conscious when people talk about them, painted on her toe nails are Egyptian hieroglyphics for nobility.

Cleo wears a number of different clothes and robes, but what she usually wears that is considered normal to most people is, a bright yellow Halterneck shirt that shows off her above average bosom, several bracelets on both her wrist and an arm band on her left arm, on her legs are a pair of black silk slacks, on her neck is a black choker with a light blue beetle on the front of it, on her feet she wears sandals that show off her toes,.

Personality: Cleo is Cool headed, self-controlled, rational, sociable, and adaptable, she knows how to take any situation calmly and not bum rush her way into things, she a formidable leader, but she can be very critical of others' comments or choices. Cleo believes that she is the reincarnation of the first Cleopatra destined to control the entire world and intends to do so. Just because Cleo is treated like a queen doesn't mean she isn't willing to get her hands dirty and do something herself. Cleo can sometimes repeatedly mention world domination and joke about it.

Bio: Cleo was born, brought up, and raised by a wealthy deep pocketed cult, with many of it's member's being related to Cleopatra's servants, they make most of their money owning most of Cairo's public transportation and owning an automobile assembly company that was moving to America, Cleo was raised learning about the history of Egypt, and learning about nearly every single Cleopatra in history dating back to the first, on the side she learned some simple martial arts to defend her self without having others do i for her at times. When she came to America to attend the new opening to another automobile shop, she was given a letter to attend an American school, and the rest of it is history.

Amanda has a problem with being a little too obsessed with herself, she has a massive ego, an understatement really. She's often seen as kinda a tool because she's desperate for attention and love, she doesn't mean to be this way it's just her nature to be needy. She can be overbearing and a little jealous at time's, but this is all for a reason. She can be rather judging of others, and while she tries to avoid trouble, trouble usually find her. She has a tendency to be a little too honest with people, being extremely realist when it comes to life and won't tell people "everything will be okay" if it's not the truth, this has gotten her in a lot of trouble before because she often criticizes people where criticism is not welcome.
