Appearance:
Personality:
Alvis is a dandy guy following his own way. Guy doesn't take orders from anyone, and even enjoys going against the house rules sometimes if they doing things that go against his dandy code of honor. He's slick, stylish, and great with the ladies. Or at least, that's what he thinks he is. In actuality, Alvis isn't all that good with women, usually getting rejected for his overly direct approach, and boy does he approach almost all the babes. But that doesn't hurt him too much, as Alvis isn't the kind of guy to keep chasing- he is just too busy being dandy. Because of his actions, Alvis can be a bit self absorbed at times, but deep down there he has a good heart like the rest of us. It just takes a bit of time to show. If there is one thing Alvis is, it's being extremely confident. But sometimes he might just be TOO confident.
And by too confident, this means he takes risky bets or keep trying even in the face of despair or sadness, because he legitimately believes in the end he'll win it out. Alvis doesn't really worry about much because he believes that in times, things will turn out a-ok. He's positive and relaxed in that kind of manner, although that's not to say he can be over dramatic about little things that most people would worry much about. After all, he is a dandy guy following the dandy way.
Likes:
- Himself, of course. Well, that and his hair.
- Babes, breast, and booby.
- In a more down to earth deal, he actually likes people. Gets annoyed with them at times, more so if they step on his toes, but at the end of the day he'd take a bullet for his fellow man. It's just the dandy way.
- Freedom for everyone to do their own thing, baby.
Dislikes:
- People telling him what to do
- Working
- Bullies
- Flat chest
Strengths: Guardian
Strengths*:
Confidence: As said before, Alvis has amazing confidence. Sometimes a bit too much at times, which can even be seen as a weakness. Regardless, the guy believes he can do anything, and because of that mentality he usually makes it happen.
Willpower: He has crazy willpower, which he pretty much needs to match his confidence. Once he gets heated in the moment, he'll go at it with everything he has, and if he fails he'll get back up and go at it again.
Understanding: A dandy guy can't be dandy without understanding everyone around him. As much of an idiot or a goof he can be, he's actually very understanding of a lot of people, good or bad, even if he doesn't agree with them. Although that doesn't mean things don't fly over his head once and awhile.
Weaknesses:
Knucklehead: Alvis can be a bit of an idiot at times. Well, a lot of times actually. Be it because of his recklessness or just lack of understanding of the situation, it can sometimes cause him trouble.
Pacifist: Due to his past history, Alvis has experience with a lot of fights. He can have a bit of a temper, which he tries to repress. Trying to find the Dandy way along with a past experience, he swore off hurting another person again.
Women: Although he doesn't chase women when they reject, he always goes after them and see if he has a shot. Because of this, Alvis could be manipulated by a women, however it can't be too extremely without risking him coming to his senses. In the end, Alvis will come back to the Dandy way. Usually.
Fears:
- Getting his hair cut. How can you be a dandy guy without dandy hair? His hair isn't only a style, but almost a way of life.
- Tragedy. Even a dandy guy has emotions, baby.
- His past
Birth Town: Long Beach, California
Bio:
Alvis was born in California, but at a young age his father got a job in Japan, which forced all of them to move halfway around the world. Alvis was very timid as a child, getting bullied for looking strange and foreign. As you can expect, Alvis had no friends when he was younger, forcing him to become an outcast. One day he got in another fight with some of the usual bullies during lunch due to his clumsiness, getting beat to the ground by a group of five, taking a teacher to come and break it up. On his way home from school that day, he saw the same children waiting for him on the corner, planning on finishing the job. Afraid of what was to come, he took an back ally route to his home. It was scary to him, but he pushed on with all his might. He got halfway through before he bumped into a giant man with funny hair who towered over him, wearing a black long coat. With that man was a group of 5 or 6 others, all wearing the same coat. It was a street gang.
The man had a stern face, which scared Alvis as he realized this is clearly a man you shouldn't mess with. Quickly, he shielded his face with his arms as he usually does before the bullies attack him. The man stood there for a second, before crouching down and putting a hand on Alvis shoulder and reassuring him everything was alright. He listen to Alvis story, how he came to Japan with his family, how he was timid and bullied, the whole thing. The man stood back up, and looking down he told Alvis he'll teach him how to be strong.
Years passed by and Alvis was officially apart of that gang. Is soon turned out that the man who taught him everything he knew was not only the gang leader, but was nicknamed the 'Bancho King'. He was quite noble for a gang leader, but Alvis was a bit more tempered and hot blooded. Alvis would still get in fight at school as a teenager, but now he was the one winning. He thought things were looking up for him, until another eventful day where Alvis got in one last fight. He heard rumors of a kid saying some nasty things, and found this apparent kid. It was a scrawny little dude with glasses and all, the typical image of a nerd. He confronted the nerd, although the teenager had no idea what he was talking about. One thing lead to another and Alvis had enough, finally punching the kid with a left hook to the face, knocking him to the ground. The teenager was put in the hospital, and Alvis was expelled. He later heard that the teenager took his own life. This destroyed Alvis, hurting him with a pain he has never experienced before. He hit a wall of depression, and asked the Bancho King what to do. The King wondered for a bit, and told Alvis that the Bancho Way isn't for him. He was furious when he heard this, and was met with a swift fist to the face from the King. Sitting on the ground in shock, he looked up to the King as the towering man said to Alvis his final words- "You must follow the Dandy way."
"What is the Dandy way?" Alvis asked, confused by the Kings words.
"A Dandy is a stylish man of excellence who does things his way. He does not harm others. He doesn't follow commands. He is his own man. He is a Dandy."
"But how do I become a Dandy?"
"You must find your own path to becoming a Dandy, Alvis. It is not something you can simply teach. It is a way of life. It is Dandy."
Afterwards, Alvis said his final goodbyes to the gang, going on a mission to become a Dandy. Eventually his family moved back to California in the states due to Alvis criminal record and being expelled from school, and a couple of years later he eventually found his Dandy way. Although he's no 'Dandy King' and is more of a 'Dandy-In-Training', he works every day to follow that code of honor he lives by.
Annnd done. Took awhile, but I think it turned out nicely.
