Generally, any edits made to abilities or equipment that increase a character's capability need to be approved before use, and the bombagranate's weren't part of the approved edits.

That said, this is ultimately Max's thread, so he'll have to make the call on whether that applies here or not.

just looked over it and in my opinion, i feel that he is over loaded as far as explosives go. it's nothing to do with hammerspace being the issue (seeing as my character's bag uses basically the same thing to house his swords) i feel it's more he has an unnecessary amount of differing explosives. and with no clear (if any at all) mention of a cooldown time on how ofter he can pull things out and if he only has one of each thing in there it's hard to make a clear call on if it's to much or not.

if there is only one of each then the amount of varying things doesn't seem as bad
if there is no limit to the amount then i recommend a clear cooldown time for each thing and taking a few things off the list that are to similar to really matter other than cheating the cooldown.

i.e.
*pineapple grenade or Chinese stick grenade
if i'm thinking of the right things then these two are essentially the same but are designed differently.

*C4 or tnt sticks.
they'd do the same things but the tnt would be more diverse to use

other notes
*bombagranite(a bomb the explodes into donzens of smaller bombs) ((like a cluster bomb?))
*a boombox ((the only thing i can think off that this could be that doesn't belong in the explosive's list is an old radio from the 70s-80s.......is there any way that this makes sense in a fight? anyone?))
*a water gun (that shoots ten gallons of water per shot) ((okay, i'm guessing you only get one shot and it's more a hope you hit. since you made no mention of greater than human strength it means he would have to handle the weapon as a normal person would. so, with the weight of the weapon, the gauntlets and the water in the weapon......just a sec.....

10Gallons= 37.854118kilograms (i'm australian so it's what i'm used to working with, i'll convert it back at the end)
lets say that the gun would add, roughly 5 or more kg due to the size it would need to be (since you made no mention of it holding water any special way.)
and another 4-6 minimum for the gauntlets.
so all up, as a rough estimate he'd be trying to aim 46 or more kilograms ((101.413 pounds)) of weight before trying to hold it in place to fire all the water at once.

oh...and you spelt durability wrong, second last sentence before the list of stuff he has in hammerspace......

oh and Schradinger, i edited my cs a little to fix up a few things i missed, would you mind going over it for me? seems fairer for you to do so rather than just call it fine and go with it.

the main three things i did was remember to include a little more explaining his bag
fix it so it mentions that the energy weapons are solid matter
and i made a change to how the amount of arrows he has works....which i can explain more if needed

I am so glad you finally asked me that. *cracks knuckles with an evil grin* ;)

In all seriousness though, there are a few aspects of the character that are a bit unfair that I've been wanting to address for a while, but I would have felt weird doing it without you asking me to, since this is your fight.

Before I get started though, I should caution you against criticizing other people's spelling or grammar. You used the wrong version of faint in your distinctive features section. ;) Faint (the word you wanted) means small or difficult to see, while feint (the word you used) is a term for a false attack.

Now that that's out of the way, I think the new additions are all fine, but there could be some issues with your first-edition powers. Most notably the teleporting. If it can be done every post with no cooldown, then he can avoid any and every attack thrown at him and become completely untouchable. Unless there's some detrimental effect to using it (like a charge up time, a cooldown time, or something about the teleport process itself that makes him vulnerable either before or after), it's a skeleton key for escaping any and all otherwise inescapable situations, and doesn't require any actual skill to avoid attacks. The ability to turn into shadow mist has the same issue, though not quite to the extent that teleporting does.

The second issue is with his possessed form, which if used in this fight would put him way above the rest of us. It's a great ability for a higher tier fight, but would be very OP if used in this one. To be clear though, I'm not recommending you remove the ability, just that you avoid using it in this particular battle.

And the third is just a reminder that shadow powers should be weak to light-creating powers. They don't have to be totally useless against them, but a really bright attack should logically cause more damage to a shadow construct than a normal attack. I just didn't see anything in the CS about how/if light affects the shadow powers, so I thought it would be worth mentioning.

okay, and i'll admit i sometimes confuse words that are spelt similarly that i don't use often. (like i have no idea what the differance between to and too is >////<) i'll fix that up in a moment.

as for the mist, that's basically how he teleports (not that anyone seems to have ever figured that out on their own before) and the only times i ever use it to actually dodge an attack is when i can see no other way to dodge a powerful attack that would either mortally wound or kill my character. i can see your point though, i need to find a better way to explain it than 'trust me to use this properly' i guess

i forgot to mention any weakness to light, i guess cos i thought it would be obvious that light attacks would weaken/ overwhelm dark attacks or be weakened/ overwhelmed themselves based on the strength. if the two are equal then they would balance out and do nothing. but i made mention that when he's holding one of his swords, cos it is lined to him stronger than the others, his shadow's get mixed with it's metal control. which again comes down to a 'trust me to use this properly' kinda thing >___<

and i had no intention of using the possessed form unless someone else pulled out something that rivaled it. and only kept it in there for that instance.

all in all the problems you pointed out are worded the way they are due to my rp style. i have a habit of only using my characters to the level of the character it's fighting. meaning that really i could use this setup to fight much weaker people and they would still have a chance to win.......come to think of it i made my fighters powerful enough that i've never fought with them at their full strength.

Since it's your fight, you're completely entitled to the "trust me to use it properly" method of power allocation, but in someone else's arena that might not work so well.

As for to and too, to is progressive (he went from here to there), and too is an addition (he got a piece of pizza, and a salad too).

as i said, i have to come up with something better for it, so far you're the first person to call me on it though...which is odd since i've used him in a tournament with fairly strict character sheets....

just wanted to check if you understood the cool off time for the arrows. not sure if i explained it clearly....but i know if i tried to explain it fully it would be a paragraph long >__<
(i may or may not have hurt myself with confusion while coming up with the idea >_> <_< >_>)

oh, and than you for the explanation >///>

The way I read it, he can summon six arrows into his quiver, then can't summon any more for the next two posts if he uses those up.

And in regards to the teleportation, that is odd. Every time I've had a character with teleportation the GM has required either a cool-down or a charge up post.

the way i thought of it is he summons them one at a time, but he can only summon 6 inside the three turns, so from the moment he fires off the first one for that post and the two after he only has 5 more, but they don't all come back together.

say he fires one the first post, then none in the second, then two in the third. on the fourth post he only gets the first one back meaning four arrows that he can use. he wont have the other two back till the sixth post.

so while he has a limit of how many he can fire in all, each one has it's own cooldown that starts when it's fired. so, for my next post i only have one arrow left, then the turn after that i get two back, meaning i will have either two or three depending on if i use that last one in my next turn

does that make sense?

and i'll add a post or two cooldown, i use it so rarely, and normally as part of an attack, that it shouldn't matter to much other than dealing with some of the 'trust me' thing.

It does make sense. Essentially, he's got an invisible quiver in his mind that holds six arrows and replenishes each arrow two posts after it's fired.

For the teleportation, a cool down would work great. :)

yeah. and i added a cooldown of one turn and a use limit of only the turn it's used in for the armour and ability to turn into a shadow. and i was planning o have them linked so if i use one the cooldown counts for both. so i can't use one then the other next turn. and i can only use the armour while holding the correct sword.

If you want to, go right ahead. Anything that limits a character's capability doesn't really need approval, since it's going to be fundamentally weaker than the original approved version.
