Throughout the kingdoms, the representatives were getting ready. It was that time of the year where representatives were chosen and sent to neutral grounds for a meeting. It was at this place that the kingdoms got to consul their problems and to ensure that all out war wouldn't come. It was like a way to let out a little frustration and pent up anger. However, some representatives as well as the lords of the land themselves were nervous because of a certain rumor that had been spreading. A rumor that most people would find hard to believe. It was said that the ones known as the Forbidden Kingdom were sending representatives of their own. No one had ever seen them before. No one knew their place in the world, only that they have been here for a long time. Many people wondered why they chose now to finally reveal themselves instead of hiding behind their wall.

Jack got on his horse. He looked at a few others who were also prepped and ready. Jack was to serve as the head representative of Masrith. Two others were assigned to accompany him. "So is it true? Are people from the Forbidden Kingdom really going to be there?" One of the men asked. Jack thought for a second before answering. "I don't know. It doesn't matter, we treat them like any other. I will admit, I don't like it. We don't know anything about them and that bothers me. Lets go. I don't want to be late." With that being said, Jack and the two others rode off toward the meeting ground.

The thought of the Forbidden Kingdom ran through the mind of an elf as he ran past the trees of a great forest. He was always on the move, never stopping for more than a day at a time. The villages only were a source of food and water to him, as well as serving as a good place to sleep in the inns. He did not need to sleep there, but the orcs around here made it to dangerous to sleep in the trees anymore. They would murder him in his sleep if they got the chance. It would be quick but very bloody. But about the Forbidden Kingdom, Blue was headed there. His goal was unset, as he did not even know what the kingdom was like, but he was headed there. Perhaps it would be a kingdom of evil and he would have to fight through armies of men and dark elves to slay the king of that dark place. Or maybe it was a peacefull kingdom and at last he would find his love.

"Guess I'll have to find out!" Blue said to himself in a confident tone as he sped up a bit, rushing through the forest at high speed. He, like all elves, was very skilled at running, and could do it for hours without end. With his ears bent back and his hair fluttering in the wind, the elf sped off towards where he thought the Forbidden Kingdom was.

Thorgrim Hammerforge was not in a good mood. No, it wasn't the blizzard. He'd been through this before. Not that the ale supplies were running low - a problem, but not as significant as this. What really bothered Thorgrim was that the Forbidden Kingdom was attending the annual kingdom's conference this year. The Forbidden Kingdom practiced magic. Dark magic. Thorgrim distrusted magic. It was dangerous work, prying into the arcane arts. He had heard more than enough stories of tragic alchemical accidents. Worst of all, they practiced dark magic. They weren't a kingdom at all, just a band of tragic little wretches attempting to frighten the world through dabbling with demons and spirits. Thorgrim sighed. But he had been elected as the representative for Tharous. It would be good to experience relations with other kingdoms first-hand. Thorgrim egged his pony on, towards the castle where the conference would be held.

K'rak overlooked the scene, somewhat in surprise. There was more people in this single place than he had seen his entire life. Tents sprawled out across flat valleys in every direction around the one anchor point of the castle. K'rak had seen a couple of Castles on the way here, the first one he had seen stuck awe into his heart. If this was a fragment of the old empire, he was honoured to usher back in a golden age. This was slightly bigger than the others, and there was no doubting that this was where the strings of fate would snap. With this many people the world was bound to change. Although mostly shunned on the road, a couple of people told him The Forbidden Kingdom would be here, and it seemed the entirety of the world had come to see what the fuss was about. K'rak raised his head and inhaled odours of fire, animals and man. It would be dark soon, and the talks were soon to be underway. He mulled over the idea of perhaps spying on them, but hunger and travel wear got the better of him. It was a bit late to hunt and the wildlife for miles around had probably been scared off, so it was probably best to steal some meat and rest from a vantage point where he could overlook the camp. Maybe a nice tree...

Galvar the Purelight stood up from kneeling in front of the Holy Altar inside the castles small but pleasant chapel. Galvar had been sent here by the generals of Avalon, as one of a few ambassadors, while they roused the vassals and gathered levies. Nobody, perhaps not even the generals, knew why every fighting man had to be roused but everyone, even the most common peasant, knew that trouble was soon about to erupt. Galvar had heard that for the first time since the ancient days the kingdoms of the realm had laid down their arms against each other and gathered to shield each other from the storm gathering on the horizon, the Storm of the forbidden kingdom.

Galvar walked out of the chapel after feeling rejuvenated from his prayers and went down to the gates outside the castle where his men had established camp along with the troops of the other nations.

"Looking for the forbidden kingdom, elf? You won't find it. Not here anyway."
Xryz descended in front of the elf, his black wings flapping gracefully. He took a step towards the elf, then looked at it.
"You don't belong to any kingdom. You're a free elf. You are also only one elf. What's wrong with you? Even if you supposedly found the forbidden kingdom, you wouldn't even be able to get in. If you tried you would've been a victim to their dark magics! You're either very reckless, or just a fool..."

"Woah, what the..." Blue exclaimed as he skidded to a halt once Xryz appeared. "I'm going there for the adventure, and who are you to appear out of the blue and call someone a fool?" Blue said as he pointed at Xryz. Blue then started to think about this fallen fae. Why was he here, how did he find him, and what time is it? "How did you even find me, and why should you care if I go to the Forbidden Kingdom? Why do you care if I win and save the world, or die at the hands of a dark mage? Why... are you even here anyways." Blue said, causing Blue to think even more. This darkened fae may be evil, but he could be a good ally when used correctly. "Is it that... you are seeking a partnership, so that you could strom the Forbidden Kingdom with someone to back you up? Well, if that's the case I accept!" Blue said, crossing his arms in a cocky way.

It didn't take very long for Jack and his two companions to reach the meeting ground. He walked into a small stone building. In the building was a round table and chairs spread out as for those to sit while discussing. Jack didn't see anyone else. He assumed he was early, but something still felt off. The representatives for the forbidden kingdom weren't here yet and that is what worried him. He didn't trust a kingdom that used dark magic. That is how it got its name in the first place. It didn't matter now. Jack had this meeting to look to and he wasn't sure how things were going to go this time.

K'rak made his way back out of the camp, clutching his prize of ham hock. He settled on a tree and started eating his meal. It wasn't long before elevated tones echoes through the wood towards him. K'rak slowly made his way towards them, wary of an attack, when he approached humans they tended to come at him with torches and pitchforks. It wasn't long before he saw an elf, and another unfamilliar creature bickering, before the elf crossed his arms in a cocky way. The other creature seemed to regard the Elf as a cat would regard a mouse, and K'rak was sure he would be noticed by this dark, winged beast. "If I'm going to see the changing of the world," K'rak pondered, "I'm going to have to attach myself to a group of powerful individuals." He decided to step into the clearing. "Peace-sssss." He said in the common tounge

"A partnership. Interesting. But don't you even think about using me. Anyway we can't go charging straight for the forbidden kingdom. Our only chance is to gather information first."
Xryz then saw the lizard creature moving towards them.
"Stay very still. It looks like we have a guest."
He readied a ball of shadow energy in his hands until he heard it say something that sounded like peace. Xryz walked up to the lizard and studied it. It must've been quite old. The energy in his hand dissapated and he started to speak to it.
"What brings you here, lizard?"

Thorgrim entered the conference room and plopped his dwarven butt on a chair of carefully carved stone. He was feeling refreshed, having a good ale and a little catnap. Two of his dwarven escorts entered after, bringing a bulky chest. Thorgrim rummaged through its contents, rifling through treaties, treaties, more treaties and - ah. Thorgrim fished out a dusty parchment with odd sketchings and diagrams on it. His new and improve blueprint of his father's portable cannon, able to be carried and used in the field by (bulky) infantrymen. Thorgrim stashed away the blueprint and craned his short neck around the room. His eyes came to rest on a pale-skinned man seated on the far right. Why hadn't he noticed him before?
"Ah, Commander Jack-bloody-Maverous of the Mauscins." The red-bearded dwarf let out a throaty laugh. "I'm High Engineer Thorgrim Hammerforge, son of Balrin Hammerforge. I hail from Tharous." Thorgrim stood up and walked over to the man to offer a handshake.

Jack turned to see a dwarf. The dwarf announces himself as Thorgrim and stick out his hand. Jack returned a firm handshake and smirked. "Bloody Maverous? Is that what you all call me? No matter. I heard Tharpus was going through some 'technological' difficulties. Something about their cannons." Just then, several representatives from the other kingdoms entered. Paladins and elves filled the room along with several humans. Jack looked at the banners they carried. "So all we are doing is waiting on-" his speech was cut off from a scratchy and horrid voice. "Well isn't this a nice reunion." Jack turned to see a strange and cloaked figure the figure was alone and sat down. "I'm from what you call the forbidden kingdom." His voice left a cold chill in the air. A distrusting feeling filled Jack. Jack did not lift his sword but as a veteran, he knew when something was up and he didn't like the feeling. Nonetheless Jack continued. "Welcome to the annual kingdom conference. I'm glad all of you could make it. The forbidden kingdom has joined is today. Although we don't really have familiarity with them, they are still here. We have to listen whether we want to or not."

Galvar entered the conference room. A terrible feeling came over Galvar, there was strong magics in this place. He was fine with magics of course but this magic was... Different... Darker... Something that should never be used in this mortal earth. Galvar found himself walking into the Centre of the room despite his mind telling him to fall back, he pressed on determined to find the source of this dark evil. Then he saw it, a figure cloaked in darkness, Galvar knew this was the creature letting of the foul aura. So he did what any Templar would do, he drew his sword and strode towards the unholy fiend.

Thorgrim turned to face the dark, cloaked man with strange feelings of both dread and amusement. "Bloody hell, mate. Why in the gods' names do you wear your black bathrobes to the annual kingdom's conference?" He waited for a hearty laugh from the other representatives, but they all held a unmoving expression of terror. Then it suddenly dawned upon him - this was the Forbidden Kingdom's representative. "Okay, mate. Methinks that ye dark magic garments an' all is scaring the bloody dung out of these very nice representatives that you're about ta have a civilized talk with, not to impale them with unholy stakes o' darkness and all that crap. And ye bettah apologize to Mr. Dogood Paladin over there who seems like he's about to impale YE with a stake - or a sword, for that matter."

K'rak studied the creature in front of him. He was well toned, but seemed quite weak physically. Any weakness in close combat, however, would be swept aside by his now furled wings. That, and his demonstration of black magic. K'rak had faced this kind of magic before, though this was not as pure or as evil as the demons. Although he had a few wards to protect himself from such things, could he trust a wielder of the darkness? He could make no decision without knowing the creature.
"Partnerssship." K'rak hissed. "I too head for The Forbidden Kingdom."

The figure watched Galvar charge. Before Galvar could get close, he was restrained by two paladins. One of the spoke. "I don't like it either and with his aura, we are supposed to cleanse him but this is neutral ground. If you had completed your act, that would have been an automatic act of war. That is not something we need." The paladins would not let go of Galvar until he showed to calm down. The cloaked man smirked. "It's ok. Don't worry about the act of war." The man took off his hood. His skin was Snow White and his eyes..there was no pupil, no iris, it was all black. His eyes were like staring into an abyss. "I will ignore what the man did. The forbidden kingdom is here for one thing. We declare war on you all." The man raised his hand as a black flame appeared on it. Dark portals opened up and massive knights appeared around the room. They were massive compared to that of an ordinary man. Their eyes glowed a light blue. Their armor was a pale grey. They held no shield but a massive sword in their hand. A sword that most humans would undoubtedly two hand. The man have a devilish grin. "Don't worry about telling your kingdoms. Your dead bodies will be a much better message." Just as he had finished, the massive a knights charged the others.

Jack turned to face one, his companions faced others. As jack fought the knight, he realized this fight wasn't one that should be attended. "We need to leave now."

Thorgrim was taken aback at first as a hulking grey armor-clad knight strode towards him, greatsword in hand. With an impressive amount of willpower and an almighty battle cry, Thorgrim threw the fellow onto the table. The knight looked obviously stunned, but he was certainly going to get up again. Thorgrim quickly fished for his just-in-case weapon from his chest and brought out a blunderbuss of questionable size. Indeed, this was why the pack was so heavy. Thorgrim put a round in the knight's helmet and ordered his advisors to ditch the chest and to help evacuate the castle. Suddenly, something dawned on Thorgrim: once they were out, where were they to go?
"Commander Maverous! Do we return to our home kingdoms or rally?"

"I would not dream of it." Blue replied to Xryz. And that is when K'rak appeared. Blue exclaimed in fear as he jumpped in fear when he saw the lizard man, as he had never seen his kind before. He prepaired to cast a painfull spell in case it attacked him, raising his hands and prepairing to strike the creature, but then it spoke of it's word about a partnership. With that the elf lowered his hands and crossed his arms again. "Well, the more... 'people' we have, the higher chance we have in clearing the kingdom, even if I don't know who or what you are, strange lizard being." Blue said. He knew what the fallen fall fae was because he had to battle one of them once, poor creature, but he knew nothing about K'rak.

"Unholy fiend begone from this realm!" Galvar yelled at the Grey knight he was combating. Unfortunately their armour was like nothing Galvar had ever encountered and his sword seemed to be making only scratches. Galvar knew it was time for only one thing, the power of the holy light. Galvar looked around at the remaining paladins "Men! Forget your swords! Smite them with the power of God!" He men obeyed and the room filled with a golden light that came down crashing upon the grey knights heads and made them falyer and give terrible shrieks

One knight was was slammed and shot by Thorgrim. Thorgrim was about to find out what they spent all those years using their dark magic on. Before Thorgrim could even leave the table, the same knight he had just shot grabbed him and slammed him against the wall. Though a good portion of the knights face was missing, his skull was was showing and the knight growled at Thorgrim. The knight that were hit by the holy magic showed no sign of pain. Their armor burned and singed but it didn't seem to slow them down. One of the paladins was lifted by his neck. The knight looked him in the eyes. "Pray all you want, the fact remains, I am here, your God is not." His great was shoved through the paladins chest and then tossed to the ground. Maverous looked around, both of his men were cut down. He looked at the knight that held Thorgrim and tackled the knight to the ground. Jack quickly got up and grabbed Thorgrim. "We have to warn out kingdoms. These knight won't stay down. We can't fight an enemy like this alone." Suddenly, the knights stopped in their tracks. The man who had summoned them smiled. "This is what you face. This is the strength of the Forbidden kingdom and what stands before you are our commanders. It's too bad you won't be able to get back to your kingdoms." The man said with confidence.
