No his character doesn't exist so there is nothing to kill off.... um question about this Glade. How would it work for Nova and the elf Captain to find them? Seeing as they are in a different plane altogether.

you won't, not for now anyways.

I have some things to do before they meet up anyways. (My character is being introduced lol.)

So how about, just as the patrol was giving up the elf patrol stumbles upon us on the edge of the forest.

2 problems.

1: If, as you have proffessed to saying, your lich has little to no knowledge of what happened in the time he was 'dormant' how would he know the name of my character, or that he was the werewolf king?

Barghest only took power very recently. If your character had any knowledge of the werewolf hunting grounds, which would be unlikely anyways, he would not know of Barghest's take over.

2: You give no explanation as to how your lich uncovered my character. What magic did he use? What were it's incantations?

Do not automatically assume your character can recognize another's presence. I reccomend pm'ing the person you are going to be interacting with before deciding whether or not your character is more powerful, or if they can break through a specific spell. Just be safer next time. I am not angry, all I ask is that you remove your poat and pm me about making it proper. I can see that you really enjoy rping and I want to see you improve as a writer.

I know I'm ready for some outlying NPC elves or Lithians to be spotted by Xukhezur's foremost optic orb, hurtling at speeds approaching 295 mph.... (520 ft. speed w/ run action) ...which is around the IRL helicopter speed record I used to determine the speed of a previous sentient airship character (a gnome built construct creature) that employed four rotor ducts.

So basically a statistical fly speed of 520 ft. exists as my current ceiling for constructs that are within "plausibility" for high fantasy settings capable of tinker-style gnome engineering coupled with the magical means to improve one's ability to craft and assemble precision parts and components. In the case of an optic orb, gravity manipulation spells and effects are used as the prerequiste basis for its locomotion.

As it currently exists, it could take an optic orb as few as 6 minutes for it to cover the 30 miles that currently lie between Xukhezur and the majority of the armory plunder he and Lu'Vayla are looking for using a tracing gem subject to mutliple castings of the spell, assuming it doesn't slow down to examine and inform Xukhezur of any intervening beings, obstacles, conditions or wards that might limit their travel options.

As far as other movement speeds of other creatures go, many animals require revisions to their statistical D&D speeds. Some time ago, I did some looking for Andion's hummingbird familiar, and calculated it should have a listed fly speed of 120 ft. (Hummingbird Airspeed Velocity). Of course, the speed of a biologically living creature is subject to the limits of its endurance, where as a construct can typically run at its top speed indefinately.

So what do we do with our posts in the glade? Are we still there or should Nova and her group come upon us before we enter it.

basically just describe your character waking up in the glade, time in the glade isn't exactly like time in our world. Short answer about five minutes will pass between the time we enter and leave no matter how low we actually stay in their. This is just for the sake of the elf party, but I do have an explanation behind this, one that my character will be explaining upon the awakening of all yall in the glade.

Well, optic orbs typically remain invisible as the spell, unless they attack for little damage, after which they have to use a swift action to reinstate the effect. In addition, see invisibility and true seeing typically only have an effective range of 120 feet. But then, the optic orb's ability to examine magical auras using its arcane sight ability is limited to 120 feet as well. The optic orb's Darkstalker feat, precludes the use of blindsight, blindsense and tremorsense as a means of trying to locate it.

It basically serves the same function as the protoss observer unit from the Starcraft games, except it uses spell-like abilities to augment its sensory and stealth capacities.

Okay so all the elves would notice is a rush of wind past their heads but no object to have created it.

question:

Do your constructs hold magical power, or 'Mana' within them?

The effect of their magical abilities are subject to being dispelled, in which case it can take the orb a little bit to recast them, depending on how many are brought down.

I am not asking for dispelling reasons, I am asking if they hold magically power within themselves in any way.

As for magical "battery-style" power, the quick answer is no they don't and they don't need to be recharged or anything.

What they do have is a perpetual source of animate energy, which disappears when they sustain enough damage, effectively resulting in their "death" as a creature.

D&D constructs, although they are constructed like magic items are, and more than a few can produce magical effects, are classified as creatures once they are completed. They can function in antimagic fields and dead magic zones, even if some of their abilities won't work in those situations.

However, their perpetual source of animate energy can be assaulted directly, as reflected by the Ray of Deanimation spell, despite the language it uses.
