Lysander was taken aback by the small girl's quick reaction to the hooded man; in a swift and bloody move, she had slain him mercilessly. There was certainly more to her than he had thought. He knelt beside the body and pulled the hood up. The man's face was literally blank, featureless and smooth. As he had feared, this was one of the Faceless, a society of assassins that were known to cater to the Legion. It was a miracle they had survived the four attacks today. But it was now clear that the Legion knew of Lysander's place of hiding. He could not stay, and yet he could not leave, for the assassins were no doubt watching all exits. However, it was unlikely they would dare attack a fighter's guild in force. He turned to the girl, who's previously pale and pure frame was flecked with blood. "Please, hide me!" he deplored, breaking the sense of superiority and pride he had often felt as a soldier. That part of him was gone. "I'll do whatever it takes."

"Come this way." Nyx landed back onto her shoulder, her talons covered in skin and blood. Vesper turned in the direction of the Head-Quarters, unsure if they would find safety there, but knowing they had no other choice considering it was the only building she was told of. A million questions zipped through her head, wondering if the assassin was meaning to attack her, or to attack Lysander, but she knew now was not the time for inquiries. Easily she began to sprint, Nyx barely moving on her shoulder while she ran, her long pale green hair flowing out behind her. She only looked back once to make sure Lysander was still behind her, before arriving at the tall brick building Iron-Clad had called the Head-Quarters. She pushed through the doors, feeling eyes on her as she did so, holding it open just long enough for Lysander to follow inside. "What in the world is going on?" she asked finally, her eyes focused on Lysander, "Do you know who that was?"

The Head-Master was not far behind the trail of Lysander and Vesper. With appropriate gesture, A follower quickly took care of the body of the faceless assassin. The Head-Master knew the body couldn't be traced back to anyone but a source of mystery. So disposal of the body would be the best resort as of now. Another faithful guild-member discreetly walked up to the Head-Master and informed him of Lysander and Vesper heading to the Guild Head-Quarters. The Head-Master simply smiled and thanked the young lady for her information and carried on with following the two.

(One of you, should take control of the head-master from this point on. (Due to speed/fluency demand. ) Once he arrives to them, he will offer to house them in his guild and safely from the Faceless assasins. For if Lysander's enemies discover he is working under Oculus. They will almost cease entirely. At least to for a while.)

Lysander took one more look out the door into the courtyard before firmly closing the door shut behind them. He slid to the ground, breathing heavily. The girl had saved his life, and risked her own by taking him in, but he wasn't sure he could trust her yet.
"Listen," he panted, collecting his breath, "All I can tell you right now is that there are bad people trying to capture and kill me. I wish I could tell you everything, but it's too dangerous. I'm sorry I have to be like this." He stood up and walked to the two nearest windows facing into the courtyard, pulling the blinds down. "I need somewhere to lay low for awhile. If I can throw off their trail once they've lost me, I can strike back and kill the problem at its source, but if that assassin was after me then they know where I am and I can't be sure I'm safe." He pulled the bottom corner of the blinds up a few inches and peered cautiously into the courtyard.
"However, it would be wrong to jeopardize your safety and those around you in my protection. If they find me, they will attack in force." He pulled his pistol out of his holster and began refilling the clip with bullets from a pouch, while looking at the girl and waiting for an answer.

Vesper listened to Lysander speak until he was finished, and thought about what he said before answering him. Before she could speak, a tall man with a long, white beard approached almost silently despite his size in comparison to her. Vesper looked up at him in silence a moment, trying to wipe the half dried blood off of her pale skin.

"I couldn't help but over hear your situation. Might I suggest staying here for a while? Oculus could use a couple of members like you two. We can provide you with the safety and shelter you need..." the man persuaded. Vesper assumed he was the Head-Master of the guild he spoke of, and looked to Lysander hoping for a sign of approval to the idea. She figured there was no where else they could really go without their lives being risked, so this was a good a place as any. She knew also, that despite barely knowing anything of Lysander except for his situation, she felt the need to help him. "I would hate for something bad to happen. I can stand my ground if need be, don't worry," Vesper said, smiling faintly.

She had never really been in much trouble before, so this was another first for her as well. In a way she found it funny that so much could have happened on the first day here. She shook her head slightly, turning to attention to Lysander now, to hear what he thought of the idea.

Jinx sat on her couch in a pair of pink penguin pajamas while eating ice-cream, watching Bridget Jones Diary and cleaning her gun. She shoved the chocolate, dark fudge into her mouth, and pet Osiris who was asleep beside her on the couch. It wasn't only an hour or so ago, she came home showered and ate a quiet dinner of chicken and veggies by herself with a simple glass of pinot noir. She didn't feel regretful or sad after she murdered that bastard who hurt those children and perhaps that is why she was perfect for her job. She could be extremely kind, and cruel when needed. As the movie finished and she put everything away she picked up her cat and headed to bed, waiting for the next day where she would head over to Phantom to collect her money, and then with hope collect more friends for her collection in the graveyard. She slumped into her bed with ease and gave Osiris a scratch before turning off her light and enjoying a soundless sleep, as the midnight dock worker let forth a large scream as he witnessed the macabre scene.

Jin

Jin saw Vesper, Lysander and then the Head-Master walk into the building. Jin continued to spectate any sparring matches taking place, however that did not last incredibly long. Jin soon found himself walking into the room that would be his. Jin's bedroom was eerily untouched except a two bags placed in the closet. One bag held personal belongings such as clothing for if he ever got his body back. The other bag held weapons, various types from punching daggers to lances, exotic to more bland broad-swords. All weapons Jin knew how to use efficiently and had been since his body became a hunk of metal.

A sigh was audible from Jin as he stared at the room which was rarely used. Sitting on the edge of his bed, his pose was similar to The Thinker statue. Jin would of went into slumber, however doing so was impossible. All he could do is what he has grown to call "Fake-sleep". The act of sitting somewhere for so long, his mind eventually fades into a day-dream state, which somewhat imitates sleeping. At least the dreaming aspects of it.

Lysander clutched the grip of his pistol tightly, sliding in the now fully loaded clip. He pondered the Headmaster's unexpected offer. Could he join the Guild? He had not previously considered this as a possible option, for he did not want to stay in one place very long. However, if he were to join the Guild, he would be taking up marks and constantly be moving. Plus, he would be under the Guild's protection, and the Legion would be unlikely to dare to send assassins into an armed civilian business.
He walked to the window and peered through the blinds again. He did not want to think about what waited for him out in the darkness. Was he really ready to try his luck on the streets again?
He turned back to the Headmaster, and glanced at Vesper before speaking.
"I accept."
The Headmaster nodded. Whether he was aware of Lysander's situation, he had clearly expected an affirmative answer from him. The Headmaster spoke:
"Alright then. If you two follow me, I can show to you a place to stay for the night. Tomorrow you can move into more permanent accommodations in the dormitories."
He gestured for them to follow, and proceeded up a flight of stairs. Though the Headquarters building was primarily for business, the second floor boasted a single bedroom with four beds. Lysander was relieved to set down his weapons.

Vesper followed them up the stairs into the room which held four beds, made up with plain white sheets and blankets. She didn't really sleep at night much, but was thankful for the place to lie down. She gazed over to Lysander who was placing his weapons down. Once they were both in the room, the Head master simply nodded and closed the door behind him as he took his leave. Vesper moved silently over to one of the windows, making sure the blinds were closed before taking Nyx and placing her on the window sill.

"I'm sorry about all of this... Are you going to be okay?" Vesper asked Lysander quietly, gazing at him after sitting down on the edge of the bed. She crossed her legs slightly, brushing her long hair back behind her shoulders and pulling it into a loose bun. Despite it was getting dark, and normally she would be wide awake, she felt exhausted.

Lysander watched Vesper close the blinds and sit down as the Headmaster departed. He chuckled silently to himself: he had killed men, won battles, and conquered empires, but he had never been alone in a room with a woman, let alone in a bedroom.
He sighed and laid back on the nearest mattress. The furnishings were mediocre, but lavish compared to the military cots that he was used to on the nights he didn't sleep under the stars.
"I'll be fine." Lysander said, looking at Nyx with mild curiosity. "I just have to lay low and work out a contingency plan. None of this is your fault. In fact, thank you. You saved my life back there."

"It's no problem... We should probably get some sleep though, I suppose. I'm thinking tomorrow will be a big day..." Vesper said quietly, almost whispering. She looked at Lysander gently again for a brief moment before resting her gaze on Nyx, who was now cleaning the blood from her talons. Vesper sighed softly, suddenly feeling home sick. She reached over and ran her fingers through Nyx's feathers softly before shifting to lay down on the firm mattress. After pulling the blankets up over her shoulders, she stared at the blank wall in silence, her mind wandering to what tomorrow might bring. She chewed her lip a bit before turning over to face Lysander and Nyx, quickly falling into the blackness of a deep slumber.

Lysander noted Vesper's quick descent into sleep. He sighed and set down the rest of his luggage, pulling off his shirt and laying on the cot. After several hours of tossing and turning, he finally drifted into troubled sleep.

Jinx sat quietly in the corner of a pub, sipping a steaming cup of black coffee and munching down a plate of schnitzel and eggs. It was a quiet evening, and not many people were visiting the pub. She was friends with the owner and was happy with the quiet serenity that was unusual in the usual rowdy place, plus the food was quite decent. When she was halfway through her food she lifted up her red bottomed Louis Vuittons and settled them on the side of a chair as she opened up the newspaper and took interest in the town news. It wasn't long before a man with long blonde hair that ran to his hips and soft yellow eyes perched himself across from her, a smirk edging his features. He had an animalistic sexuality about him, that most women craved for,"Nice work Haven. The boss is pleased."

She lifted her eyes up for a few seconds and then moved them back down,"He usually is with my work, Leon. Not usually as rough as you are but I definitely make sure that people get what they deserve."

Tiger smirked,"Yes. I figured I would find you around here. Apparently there is a meeting back at HQ at dusk. Something with the Legion apparently."

Jinx groaned,"Oh great. Another mission designated by The Legion to make us their bitch."

He smiled, taking a bite of her shnitzel,"You would say that after David."

She took a sip of coffee and rolled her eyes,"I shouldn't have told you about sleeping with him. Total waste of time. Anyway I will be at the god damn meeting. Now scoot. I enjoy my alone time, and Phantom is already killing my good mood."

He shrugged standing up and spoke in a bored tone,"Sure. I have a mission out of town anyway. See ya later, Zombie."

She laughed,"Whatever you say Kitty Kat."

Dawn granted a feint fog across the lands, visibility was no issue to early birds proceeding with morning rituals, while others simply slept. Several miles north rested a forest which is deemed forsaken by the people of this Port-City. A massive amount of deaths in the past involving this Forsaken Forest causes people to fear it. There is one final reason to why they fear this forest as well.

Reason being, the wildlife inhabiting the forest. Between the flora and fauna humans become very low on the food-chain aspect. Several predators of the forest even exited and assaulted the Port-City in the past in search of prey. People rarely enter this forest, those who do most frequently only enter the treeline to simply get resources. Rumor holds, any who seek to find an end or life in this forest, never return to share their glory.

Scraping, shifting, slamming of metal echoed throughout woods located inside the Port-City. (So not the Forsaken Forest.) Deep within this forest of scattered yews and other trees of immense stature, Jin was located. Scattered around himself was all the weapons from his bag. A blur of motions showed Jin traversing between weapons and skillfully practicing them.

With ease he would perform front or back handsprings, dropping weapons and gaining them during the process. Once reaching his feet, Jin would execute a chain of attacks or guards, only to end with another handspring granting him a new weapon. No heavy breathing could be heard from Jin as he seemingly exerted himself during training. The only sound audible was his armor, his body clanking and shifting from movement.

Shards of light broke through the blinds separating Lysander and Vesper's room from the outside world. Lysander's eyes fluttered slowly open. He had not slept in a warm bed often in the Legion, and it left him feeling unusually at ease. He brushed aside the sheet that had gotten tangled around his body and sat up, swinging his legs over the edge of the cot. He rubbed his eyes sleepily and reached for his shirt, pulling it over his body. Glancing at Vesper's bed, he saw that she still appeared to be sleeping soundly and peacefully, her owl perched above her in slumber.
Lysander stood up and stretched, scooping up his equipment and strapping on each individual item, ending with his katana. He left his pack on the bed to be moved to the dormitories later. He decided he had best get the lay of the place before thinking out his next move; if he found any prominent security breaches, he would likely not be safe there. He grabbed the door handle and pushed it open. A movement in the corner of his eye made him jump, but it was only Nyx, who had been awakened by his noise.
"It's alright, it's just me." Lysander said, then questioned whether the owl trusted him either way, then questioned again why he was talking to a bird in the first place. He glanced down at Vesper. She had not stirred, and the sun on her pale green hair made her look particularly attractive, which Lysander had not noticed in the dark. He pushed the thought from his mind and closed the door behind him.
As he walked down the hallway and stairs to the entrance, several guild clerks gave him wary looks, but none spoke a word. He ignored them and pushed out the main doors into the courtyard.

Vesper barely stirred as Lysander took his leave, though Nyx awoke as he pulled the door open, ruffling her feathers. Light shone through the blinds onto Vesper's long pale green hair, and as she woke, she pulled it out of it's bun, letting it fall around her as she sat up. She looked around the room, her eyes landing on Lysander's bed, noticing his pack was placed there propped up. Silently, Vesper reached over and pet Nyx before standing and making the bed. Once everything was straightened out, she sheathed her daggers to her thighs again and headed for the door. She would try to find someone who would help her get settled into the Guild.

Nyx sat on Vesper's shoulder with ease as she walked down the stairs, her yellow eyes focused on finding the Head-Master, or someone else who might be able to help her. Seeing no one in the main area of the building, she pushed through the main doors and out onto a stone path leading to different places around the Guild, all which were connected by the courtyard. The sun shone brightly, causing Vesper to squint, and feel instinctively tired. She pushed the grogginess aside and continued forward on bare feet, keeping an eyes out for the HM or possibly Iron-Clad/Jin. Slowing her pace, she heard the faint sound of metal in the forest nearest to the city. Her expression shifted then to one of concentration as she focused on where exactly the sound was coming from, and finally after deciding in which direction to go, she headed off that way, knowing Jin would be there.

Jinx fixed her hair and knocked politely on a large black door. There was some quick bumping and a loud curse before the door was open and a tall, slim man with shaggy blonde hair, green eyes and steel rimmed spectacles stood before her. He was in a pair of dress pants, a rolled up white dress shirt and a black vest, beneath a thick rubber apron and a pair of rubber cloves covered in blood. He smiled his British accent highlighting his words,"Oh Ms. Haven..I suppose you didn't come here for a pot of tea."

Jinx smiled up at him,"Oh Edgar how many times do I have to tell you. Call me Jinx. We are friends." She stepped into his personal space, and cocked her head to the side,"Besides..I hear you have some new friends for me to meet."

Edgar sighed and moved to the left, and raised his hand,"You know, I really should learn how to say no to you."

She smiled and walked past him into the house,"Oh, don't be like that. You enjoy my company as much as I adore your work."

She brushed her fingers over the stacks of books around the house. She looked around at the random mugs, eloquent paintings and odds and ends filled the space. He coughed and nodded towards the back door. She shrugged giving him a cheeky smile before moving towards the door and down the hall. Edgar followed right behind her and spoke softly,"I received the new victim of your work just this morning...You really put on a show for Phantom."

Jinx frowned reaching the bottom of the stairs,"I don't need to hear this. He was a sick child rapist and got what he damn well deserved."

Edgar crossed his arms and looked at her with cynical eyes,"I agree. Yet I want to know if you did it out of revenge or for your bloody guilds reputation. They are getting worse you know. The people that are sent here are criminals true enough, but most of them suffered unimaginable horror before they died. You know better. I know you do."

Jinx turned away from him and her own damn guilt before moving to the sleek metal boxes and spoke softly,"That's it though Edgar, Do you really know me."

He moved to stand behind her and pointed to three closed boxes,"Who cares what I know Jinx. It's what you know that matters. These are the ones you want. Three Legion soldiers. High class and after a very important target. Be careful please."

With that he walked upstairs and Jinx pursed her lips. She sometimes hated that man. He always knew how to get to her morality. Humanity was a thing she seemed to forget on occasion. It was probably why she came here so often. Edgar seemed to always bring her back. She shook her head and turned back to the boxes. She opened the first one and spoke softly,"Okay..Let's see what you know."

Once finished, Jin began tossing the weapons near his bag, against the trunk of a yew. The final weapon he grabbed was a pole-arm, which he now held, standing several feet from the other weapons. Succumbing to deep thought, his mentality replays several key memories. This process of remembering these past events takes several minutes. Jin almost seemed like a statue, frozen while his mind retold him what lead him here, his regrets, and what to never forget....

Lysander made sure that he was not being watched before continuing with his contingency plan. He pulled his hood firmly over his head and, tucking his weapons into his belt, stepped out of the confines of the guild courtyard and into the busy streets of the city.

His destination was not far; less than a mile down the street from the Guild entrance was Blood Moon, an infamous pub popular with some of the lower denizens of the city. He made his way warily down the road, eyeing each passerby with quiet suspicion. After ensuring that he was not followed, he pushed aside the wooden door to the pub, which was riddled with decorations.

The inside of the pub was a stark contrast to the quiet street. Colored lamps bathed the main hall with dazzling light, and loud yet muffled music echoed from some unknown location. Lysander kept his hood low as he scanned the crowded tables. All over the pub there were seedy merchants, brawling mercenaries and courtesans selling their wares. After several moments, he spotted a table in the corner above which the lamp had been put out. He approached and took note of the seated patron; a hooded man wearing the traditional garb of a warrior monk.

Lysander reached the table and sat down. He spoke without introduction.

"Pray for me, brother."

"I pray for peace," came the reply, seeming almost relieved. The man tilted his head and in the dim light Lysander confirmed his identity. He was not yet old, though the gleam in his eye had long ago been replaced by the steely glint of a soldier. His features were angular, and a scar on his jutted chin served as evidence attesting to his person. The scar, the lamp and the passcode were enough to put Lysander at peace.

"What news do you bring, Quintus?" Lysander asked, keeping his voice low.

"Your men are restless. They are upset about your discharge, and Legion Command knows it. I think they will remain loyal to you through this, but it would be wise to retain doubt. Also, I've intercepted a message between two of the councilors." He glanced over his shoulder warily before continuing. "It seems that they intend to report your death prematurely to put down the unrest. Nevertheless, I expect they will send more assassins."

Lysander nodded. It was as he expected. Quintus Valerius had been one of his most trusted men during many of his campaigns abroad, and now served as a spy in the Legion. Lysander trusted his word above all else. Quintus cleared his throat and glanced around nervously.

"I'm afraid that's all I have from now. I will send a trustworthy courier with any news I can report. Where are you staying?"

"The guild Oculus. For now, at least. The entrance is between here and the Academy."

Quintus nodded affirmation and stood. "Good luck, Captain." Lysander remained silent, and Quintus exited the pub. Lysander remained seated, leaving several minutes between their departures for safety.

After giving a short goodbye to Edgar, and promising to be back later, she departed the mortician's house and headed towards Phantom. She enjoyed the walk, stopping for an apple and a quick game of hop scotch with a few Orphan kids who were brave enough to not only be around her, but do some reconnaissance when needed. Awhile later though she stood beside three large men in front of Victors desk. The three men were each around 6 feet, and were the top fighters in Phantom next to Jinx. Steelfist stood to the left. He was bulky with spiked black hair and steel blue eyes. He had tattoos rolling down his muscled shoulders and wore a white tanktop, black suspenders and thick black pants and boots. He had the power to change any part of his body into a thick metal alloy that gave him a boost in super strength. He was a top level enforcer and was head of Training in Phantom.

The man beside him was the exact opposite. His body was more toned, and his hair a sandy shade of brown and blonde. He had a sharp nose and angular features. Whisper had his eyes covered with a white cloth in order to hide his eyes which some say can see into a person's very soul. Jinx had thought multiple times about snatching it, but then he might learn about her stashed collection of penguin figurines that would almost destroy her badass reputation. Whisper was always an introvert and was dressed in a long black trench coat black pants and stealthy back shoes. He was the head of reconnaissance and could find out information on anyone in the city. He could know your moms pantie brand and the dog that was killed three years ago if it was damn important.

The last man on the other side of Jinx was Pheonix. He had stiff red hair that mo-hawked in spikes around his hair, a cigarette in his mouth and an Iron-Maiden T-shirt beneath a black leather bomber jacket. His pants were ripped jeans, and his feet were dorned with a pair of chucks that have seen better days. The man was a hottie, and shameful as it was to admit. Jinx had enjoyed ridding this pony a few weeks after she joined Phantom. Vodka..Devil's bitch! Pheonix and her remained good friends though, and had a deep friendship that border lined hostile competitors at time. Luckily for her they worked on different levels. Pheonix had the power to transform into a Pheonix at will. He could blow fire, rip a man to shreds and fly faster then any other bird in the sky. If any attack came from the sky, Pheonix would be on it instantaneously.

Jinx hadn't seen any of the boys for a few weeks now but she knew if they were called this was going to be a big mission. She smirked. As Lead Strategist she knew her chances of taking the mission for herself was high. Plus then she could use her new toys. Victor propped his feet on the table and dropped the warrant in front of the four. "I ain't going to waste my time giving to much background information but The Legion, has placed a large bounty on an ex-captain, and has asked the local guilds to help out keeping this under wraps. It is causing quite a bit of rukus within the ranks and they want this dealt with quickly. I want this money. So which one of you numbskulls is going to get it."

Steelfist spoke up first, his voice loud and booming,"Ha. Little fuckers aren't even strong enough to take down a pesky little captain. Why should we waste our time working for the Legion. The fucking bastards keep hitting us with fines and taxes for damage and hospital bills. I say we tell them to fuck off and let another guild deal with it."

Pheonix chirped in after,"HAHA, and let them get all the money. I'll do it boss, but I want a fifty percent pay cut. I ain't wasting my time for nothing."

Whisper was silent, before speaking a soft tone,"I respectfully decline. My workload is already quite abundant and I am very close to uncovering some new information that is most vital to some other cases."

Victor nodded,"I understand. The lot of you are a pain in my ass. Jinx you are taking it."

She groaned,"WHAT?!? Why me? You know I hate the fucking Legion."

He snorted,"You just finished your case, you will take what I damn well give you for pay and because I god damn said so."

Jinx swore,"You all fucking suck. I always get stuck with the bitch jobs."

Pheonix elbowed her in the arm,"We suck you're taking my money!"

Whisper gave a smirk,"I think you need some practice anyway Jinx. Your aim at the gym was slightly off this morning."

Jinx groaned,"Of course you would know about that. Steel! Why don't you take it."

Steel gave a hearty laugh,"No way. I'm taking the new Gorgon case in the east."

Jinx kicked at the desk placing her hands on her hips,"I WANTED THAT ONE! THIS FUCKING SUCKS!"

Victor, shouted his voice booming across the room,"Stop acting like fucking children! Jinx take the fucking file and quit bitching or your suspended for a month."

Jinx shut her mouth, anger beginning to grow underneath her calm exterior. "Fine. Who is he."

He pointed to the file, a smirk crossing his lips,"Captain Lysander Grey."

Jinx picked up the file, her pale blue eyes turning hard as she spoke,"Lysander Grey huh...Prepare to meet the Reaper."

Vesper continued forward, pushing through brush and low hanging branches before reaching where Jin stood. She took in her surroundings, eyes darting around quickly before resting finally on Jin. He stood still as a statue, and she wondered if he was okay. She didn't entirely want to interrupt him, but as well didn't want to be in the way in case he decided to use his weapon. Nyx decided to fly off into a near by tree branch, keeping her eyes out for Vesper.

"Is everything okay, Iron-Clad?" Vesper spoke gently, hoping not to startle him. She was hoping he could help her learn more about their Guild. To show her around, as she didn't have much of a chance the day before.
