And like three or four of us were at the church at the same time, so even if we or Kotomine or Ruler hadn't said anything, we'd be targets at the very least.

I only see the problem with Mani's character just relaxing with GB right now. Not exactly..natural (?) to be so comfortable with the enemy.

Besides, what are we SUPPOSED to do with just two teams active? If we fought each other, one of us would win....and then the remaining team would end up doing exactly what they're doing now, except alone.

I believe that he might be referring to Aaron's shitty life in his backstory, thus he was harmed by his character development. Or something vaguely adjacent to that.

Their backstory is there regardless of whether it is outlined or not, so it doesn't really "harm" them.
