Well Light doesn't have durability, but yeah I understand that.

Starfire in the comics.... oh god where do I start. Lets put it this way. Her costume is a thong and a skimpy bra, and her swimsuit is basically pasties. And they show that off a looooot. And when it comes to her mental health? Shes a nympho, borderline succubus with incredibly low intelligence.

hm... whoops, wrong metric. Deadpool can lift 4000 lbs before his bones would snap. in metric that would be roughly 1.8k kilos, or 1800 times 2.2.

but yeah, 500 is nothing, thats peak physical perfection. after 500 that starts super strength, ending with something from DBZ that can punch a planet or star into dust.

Also for physical characters, they're the most common, so thats to be expected.

Yeah, I'll be the first to admit Maxwell's built to be an unstoppable physical monster. But that's about all he's good at, so I generally think it's okay. Of course, if you want a non physical character, I have a wind and ice elemental dude that I really enjoy playing, so I wouldnt mind swapping Maxwell out for him.

I was just speaking generally, I didn't mean to single out your character or anything like that.

Oh ok. Yeah if someone went around just wearing that with no special protection in this universe, they'd probably end up getting shot. A lot. That's way different from what I've seen of her in animation. But then again I thought DC stuff is almost always better in animated adaptations.

Yeah ok, 4000 should be a good upper limit until bad stuff starts happening and her reserves start being taxed.

I might just have a little bit of a skewed view considering I'm nowhere near peak physical perfection :P

EDIT: The alterations I suggested should make him fine but I'd like to see a wind and ice guy actually so it's up to you.

Yeah physical characters are the most common in superhero works but there's just so many other common powers that could be utilized.

Name: Kholodny Zima, the Scion of Stribog

Age:27

Gender:Male

Race: Russian

Random descriptors: Average+ height, lanky, pale as a bitch

Physical Description: Kholodny is not your typical ideal Russian man. Instead of being a great bear of a man, he's really more of a mediocre giraffe. He's not super tall, being only about 6'2, but he's a skinny sonuvabitch. Look up lanky in the dictionary, there he is. He is also INCREDIBLY pale, though for reasons not quite his own. We'll get to that in a second. He's got what looks like almost bleached blonde hair that is forever slicked back and spiky off to the sides, almost like ice cicles. Again, not his fault. He normally (Always) wears incredibly heavy coats, sweaters, and long sleave shirts, in that order. He wears two pairs of sweat pants when he can get away with it, but normally goes for just thick jeans. He's got extremely piercing blue eyes and perfectly white teeth. He shivers too. A lot. Actually, make that constantly. This dude shivers all the time, like he's got a frozen core instead of a heart or something. He doesn't, but its an apt description.

Personality Description: Zima isn't a super fun person to be around. One, because the air always seems just a little bit colder around him, and two, his personality leaves a lot to be desired. Yeah, he's a nice guy, but he's honestly super depressing. He's kinda mopey sometimes, and his self confidence levels are low, and he whines all the time (With good reason). Also, he's a coward. He has no confidence in his ability to win fights and will run whenever humanly possible. What a disgrace to the motherland.

Character History: Kholodny Zima lives a life full of irony. Delicious delicious irony. Born in Russia, his family was a member of a anti communist faction. Unfortunately, this led to them being exiled to Siberia while he was still just a babe. Well, Siberia in the middle of winter isn't good for anybody. His parents died. Oh no, not from the cold. His mother was eaten by wolves, and then his father died from a bear attack. But not before taking out the bear, skinning it, and making a blanket for little Kholodny to help protect him from the cold. Daddy Zima was a badass. But surprise!

A baby out in the middle of the Siberian Tundra isn't going to last long, bear skin coat or not. Kholodny died too. Well, almost died. Mostly died, which is different than all dead. Right before he drew his final breath a great rush of wind surrounded him and lifted him off of the ground. "Обычно я не ввязываться в дела, такие, как этот, но я не могу позволить ребенок, как этот, чтобы умереть в моей земле. Не бойся, малое один, ибо Я Бог Стрибог, будет заботиться о вас и позволит вам жить." Now, being a baby, Kholodny have no fucking idea what this spirit was saying, but the god Stribog, father of the four winds, had decided to take care of him and allow him to live. Entering Kholodny's body, Stribog filled the baby's being with his essence and power, causing the child to undergo immediate changes (You can probably figure out which ones) and saved his life. Eventually, little Zima was rescued and brought back to civilization, where he eveeentually moved to Florida to try and live someplace warmer. He fucking hates the cold and everything to do with it. Irony, huh? Stribog and Kholodny are still on great terms, with the god of the winds trying his best to stop his Scion from being a coward when it comes to fighting.

Character Equipment: Kholodny doesn't have much in terms of equipment. He has a tremendously heavy coat that he always wears to try and stay as warm as he can. This coat isn't made of any particular special material, but after having been worn by the Scion of Stribog for so long, it has picked up its own characteristics. If anyone else were to wear his coat, they would almost immediately (2 or 3 posts) freeze solid. It also provides pretty substantial defense, Stribog has woven magical ice into the threads, making it far tougher than you'd expect, you know, cause it looks like a fucking coat. Coming into contact with the jacket will begin to freeze whatever is directly touching it solid. It's not super fast, but it is almost impossible to avoid. If something maintains contact, it will be frozen. Good rule of thumb.

Skills, powers and abilities: Whats cooler than cool?

Weaknesses: Potent enough electrical currents have a tendency to make the connection go kind of....hazy. It gets weird, but it definitely screws him up. Non water, wind, or ice based magics he also has a harder time with.

Again, gotta edit the history to fit the setting a bit, but you get the general idea. Say hello the the Russian Frost, Kholodny Zima. He should fit in WAY better than Maxwell

I gave Bottom Dweller a strength level so he can lift 20 tons at max strength and he can clear a mile in a single bound.

Can I get more background on Norinmantis? Because Atlantis actually does exist in this Roleplay. It hasn't yet come to the attention of the wider world yet. It could just be that Bottom Dweller is one of Atlantis's lost sons and is unaware of his heritage. Reflecting this I'm thinking the Trident is something he get's later, unless he had it on him for some reason. Because Atlantis rising would be more than just a passing event in the news and the source of important missions.

Do you think you can half his jumping distance? It seems a little much, a half-mile should be fine. And maybe he could shave off a few tons but that isn't much of an issue.

I haven't written any of his bio yet, everything will be explained then, and I didn't use Atlantis because I thought it would be kind of cliche to use the legendary city as his place of origin so I came up with a new underwater civilization.

Hm.... 4000 lifting sounds ok I suppose, considering she'll get stronger as the rp goes on and kinetic charge makes her hit harder anyway.

Now, any objections on making Fusion Punch hit as hard as a Falcon punch when she is going fast/near the cap of her kinetic charge?

Biddz, I like the sheet. But I don't see a Weaknesses field. His powers are inventive but I'm thinking there has to be some kind of energy cost for using that much power. I'm thinking the capabilities described should be the absolute upper limit and he can't use full power very long like that before weakening.

Yog, Alright just giving you a heads up that Atlantis does exist and that Norinmantis probably shouldn't be known to the wider world. Because a secret civilization existing in the ocean would kick off a lot of shit if found out and that kinda stuff should be reserved for later in the story. Keep in mind the stuff I said about his powers too.

Archmage, She can get stronger yes but I don't think she can buff up to say double or something.

I'm not much for Nintendo either so I don't know how strong that is :P I was thinking it could be like a biotic punch in mass effect or something.

I wasnt planning on making him able to use magic of that level forever. He's powered by a god, so he's pretty good at it, but because its not a perfect unison, after a while, Stribog has a hard time actually puppeting Khold's body, and if he uses too much power, his body will shut down until Stribog basically rewires everything. I was thinking that the synchro rate would get better and they'd be able to use power more efficiently, rather than his abilities getting better, cause I think they're definitely strong enough as it is.

hm... If Light is going to be that weak I'd either need to make Kinetic charge, charge quickly instead of slowly, or give her another ability I'd think.

Why does superman even have to exist? >.>

Biddz, Ah ok I see. I bet he doesn't really deal with extreme heat well either :P Accepted.

Archmage, Two tons ain't weak. That would kill any normal person and most supervillains with a punch. Just so you know it's not always going to be a strength contest. Not even half of the time will it be a strength contest. There's way more threats to face then just super-strong bruisers and I think her strength is fine as it is. Plus there's only so much bizarre biology can account for before it starts getting a bit much. Getting more than doubly strong is a bit much. And being regenerative and agile, she doesn't need to be much stronger anyway.

If you're talking about Zenith, he's a Superman Expy not the actual guy :P

If we're talking generally, I'd have to write an essay about that xD I've said before and I'll say it again, just because other people are stronger it doesn't make your character less important. Skill and creativity count for a lot.

He actually loves being in the heat. He feels cold to the bones constantly and it makes him miserable. It takes EXTREME heat to damage him. He can walk through most fires and it will bring him up to normal human temperature. Anything about 1000 starts getting pretty painful though.

My only problem with Superman is that hes the 'control' or 'poster child' for super strength. though his main problem is that he has invulnerability, super speed AND super regeneration AND flight. Lose 2 of those and he'd be fine, but nope. Also he has those other ranged abilities, oy... Also who said Light was agile? Shes just fast when she gets going. Batman is wayyyy more agile than Flash, for example.

Some heroes are stronger than him but lose all that extra fluff, and weaker ones get better fluff, but yeah. How super strong is John or WW?

at least hes not batman, but unlike superman, Batman being OP is entertaining. XD.

Seriously, just... superman existing throws balance out of whack. Everyone else is fine, but not him... And kryptonite isn't a weakness, unless it totally paralyzed him as well, but nope. >.> Can't even give him internal organ damage due to super regen >.>. And what makes it worse, thats all biology for him. Which also means... why did krypton get blown up if everyone there was a superman? Seriously that makes no sense what so ever. At least city of heroes balanced a bazillion power sets and pairs fairly well. lol. also why Marvel is better. They have no superman.

You make sense with your reasoning, just... I wanted to rant about superman.

Huh. Are these Red Laces magic then?

Yes. They have magical properties. This is what makes them impervious to damage so they can't burn, rip, or tear. While in Red Fury, the Red Laces are giving magical powers to the wearer.

Legit question: if you cut off one of her hands while she's wearing the Laces, what happens

The magical abilities she has acquired would go away. You need both of them to enter Red Fury. She's probably retreat from the battle.

I'll be editing Red Lace's bio here soon.

EDIT: Re-read Red Lace's bio. It is 'finished' but can probably be edited in the future to make it look better (needs to be revised and whatnot).

I don't think so, Marvel and DC both have unique characters and there's nothing really wrong with basing a character off another one unless you're just flat out copying it and giving it a new name.

Biddz, Alright then. Muahahaha.

Archmage, May or may not be the case but the CS thread isn't really the place to talk about it.

TJ, It looks well enough, It looks pretty good but you can revise if you wish. The only thing is the fact she can create weapons out of mid-air. I'd rather she just carried an arsenal because creating weapons like that out of nothing violates a fundamental law of the universe or two :P Maybe in red fury she can make red hardlight weapons?

Krein, I like it a lot, I accepted it earlier but welcome the revisions. I just want to point out that the name for the society is the Fellowship of White Magic.

A lot of the characters that are NPCs are based off of comic-book characters

Zenith: Superman without the same power level and absolute moral fortitude along with a much different origin that fits in with the greater narrative.

Olympia: Similar to Wonder Woman but different origin, powers, equipment, personality, and such. She has elements of a Percy Jackson type Demigod as well. Plus she actually looks Greek :P

Pariah: A composite of Batman, Punisher, and Michael Westen without the scientific knowledge and riches along with being a different race. Also not insane like Punisher.
