Gigakill is a bit over the top as over time-travelling and alternate dimensions aren't a plot device yet and if someone had been that overt about killing heroes, they would have destroyed already.

I played the "time-traveling" such that its occurrence affected little in the way of the current world. Rather than having traveled directly back in time in his own world, he was switched to a different timeline similar to his original's past. This means his actions in the "past" (the present of First Blood) don't do any timeline mumbo-jumbo to the world he's in. It's already been established by yourself that other worlds beyond Earth exist, so I don't understand how it isn't a plot device already.

No more "overt" than villains living in the world already. I'm sure you've devised supervillains that have killed heroes before, and are still at large. If that isn't the case then the League is damn near perfect in its ability to apprehend criminals. I don't believe you intend for this Jailbreak/Hostage situation to go perfectly, and in such a case the League isn't capable of countering every evil force there is.

I don't mean to argue for the sake of arguing; I want to defend the ideas I have as best I can.

There are alternate magical universes that intersect with humanity it's not the same thing. There are of course alternate timelines and worlds, but trust me when I say alternate-dimension/timey-wimey nonsense would be a pretty big development and something reserved for later. Like Aliens.

Villains hide. This is a giant robot where all he does is hunt superhumans. That's it. If they had somebody like that running around splattering civilian superhumans and causing massive collateral damage, the Government or the League would hate up and wreck the utter living shit out of it. This isn't the comics where villains can get away with having no subtlety.

I could buy some kind of Terminator made by a mad scientist, who infiltrates society and bides his time but there is no way a rampaging giant-ass robot like Gigakill would stay in operation for more than a few months.

Okay well that I could understand.

I did mention he hid himself, albeit indirectly. It knows it cannot do things so obviously, and has primarily targeted low-tier supers who wouldn't cause a hullabaloo during a fight. Minimize the obviousness of his actions, so to speak. After the deed is done, he goes back into hiding, waiting for the next target to be decided and the opportunity to arise; he wouldn't do such a thing in the middle of a busy intersection.

What if I made him more human-sized and gave him a cloaking field? Would that make it more plausible? Of course I'd have to change his backstory such that it doesn't involve time travel, cool as it is.

Yeah it'd be more plausible if he was human-sized and cloaked or like if he was some kind of Terminator humanity look-alike.

Time Travel, cool yes but best reserved so that the full implications of it can be observed methinks.

Anti-Humanist/Echinda, The problem with this concept is that meta-powers aren't even proven to be genetic, there is no "meta" gene so any kind of DNA splicing probably wouldn't work. Also self-regenerating cells don't led to sentient animals, an interesting concept but one that needs more than a handwave. You could have him genetically engineer superior animals but uplifting an animal should be pretty damn difficult.

Also the guy has no subtlety. If a bunch of beasts randomly attacked the populace, they would probably be stomped. More so if they tried robbing a Military barracks, which would be almost impossible considering the new technology, training, and the fact that there are several military superhumans. An attack on a domestic base would have triggered a massive manhunt by the DSA which would probably have led to him being killed or thrown in jail. So... he needs to be a lot more subtle.

Also Dungeon Master's power needs to explained. Is it 100% accurate Precognition? Because that kind of power would be god-mody and a no no

Edited. Good points. Should I run my ideas for Rogues by you via PM first before putting anything in here?

And no. He's not psychic. I elaborated on his abilities a bit

Updated. Darksaber is a former military general with Cole MacGrath style powers and delusionally believes he is a Sith. Driveshaft is a woman who can shift her consciousness between vehicles. Good?

Drive Shaft and Hailstorm are fine but keep in mind that the Awakening also basically fried all electronics for a short time so that has to be worked in. They're also more street-level but this is not a bad thing.

Also Dark Saber could just be an actual Sith. I made actual Jedi for this universe

Which reminds me I have to record all these and possibly make more.

The creative process for coming up with Hailstorm was essentially the opposite of how I imagine Cyclops from X-Men. Took a different one of Superman's powers and associated a gadget with it. Just in case anyone cares.

I'll make the edit. If you need any help with your villains, lemme know, if you'd care for my help. And also, did you just write up that Jedi thing? I didn't see it anywhere else.

Swamp Fox, its part of a series of epigrams I wrote in the first thread.

Yog, Yes but not at this exact moment.
