I've Started to read the Lost Fleet Series by Jack Campbell and I am finding it to be a great read so far (I'm only two books in so far) and i think it would make a good base for an RP so here is what i was thinking...

We would play as the commanding officers of a small Squadron of ships (three to ten ships) which is part of a larger fleet until we somehow get separated from it in a jump space accident and are somehow (i haven't worked out how yet) deposited in an unknown star system on the other side of Alliance space, i.e. with the Alliance sandwiched between where we are and Syndic space.

I would love if other readers of the series would be interested, and could help me set up the RP a bit with ideas for the details i have left out. By setting it out of the area covered in the books we can avoid spoilers for anyone who, like me, have not read the whole series.

As a longtime fan of the Lost Fleet, I am exceptionally interested in this RP. Although it will be painful for someone like me who has read the entire series to hold back.

Not sure whether to go for a battleship or a auxillary. Hm, choices.

need a few more if we are going to do this.

i've been thinking, though, that we will need more than 10 ships, but we can add NPC ships, i'll be fleet commander. and the RPers can be a small task force in the fleet. let me know how you feel about this

(i'll be trying to read more of the books soon, but I'm currently reading Words of Radience and Children of Dune. Once I finish one I'll move onto the 3rd Lost Fleet book and stick with the series till im done the first series at least.)
