I want to write a spamfic

A gambling mecca and party paradise right where a great sandy desert meets the ocean. Something like a cross between Dubai and Las Vegas. 100 foot tall concrete walls, manned by private military corporations, divide the massive and lavish resort properties of the inner city from the poorer rest of the city. From the walls, things go from gated communities and industrial parks all the way to slums and abandoned neighbourhoods. And that's to say nothing of what goes on in the underground sections of the city. Squatters make their homes in the areas of the underground closest to the surface, and deeper down come criminal gangs, drug addicts, cultists, cannibals, hostile creatures and mutants, and finally terrible secrets that the former military presence in the city would have rather kept buried.

That aside, I want to know what sorts of characters you fine folks want to be in this story.

I'm getting kind of tired of this "tell me how you want your character to be portrayed" shtick.

Are you running a game or writing a story? If it's a story, then you should be able to choose how it goes and design characters for us however you see fit - however you see us. If everyone's telling you what they want their characters to be like, then it's really not your story anymore. At least, not so much. And odds are, you won't have nearly as much fun writing it if you have to conform to what everyone else wants. Aaaaand then you'll probably have to give up on the story due to lack of motivation. So just write whatever you wanna write. Half the fun of Spamfics is waiting to see how you're portrayed, anyway.

I kinda agree here, although I do know that some poeple here are happy for any chance to talk about themselves.
I have a spamfic in the chamber right now (that I'm actually going to do this time), I have most of the characters set in roles right now, or I will put them where I want as I write.

However, the one thing I do need, is Spaceship names, either serious or silly. These could b e just some generic names for generic ships, or the name of your personal flag-ship if you had one.

Didn't bother to think of it that way. To be honest, I'm trying to spark some motivation back into myself because I've been having a really lousy time lately, but it seems like I'm going about it the wrong way.

Reason why I asked is because I figured I could also use this as a way to get to know folks a bit more. Thing is, I don't really get around. It's extremely hard for me to interact with people. And it's like whenever I do try and be more social, I end up making blunders.

Maybe what I should have done instead is talk with spammers a bit more through PMs rather than jump to this straight away.

Haha, it's fine. I usually tell people when I'm snitching on them by sending chat logs to people. It amuses me greatly.

Dunno how the mystery other person feels though, so better to not name them just in case.
