An announcement came on and ended the awkward silence caused by Robert's poor humor. "Thank you," he thought. He returned to his mattress and put his weapons on his wrists, then put his visor on his face. He then followed the mass of students to what seemed to be the location of the airships.

Several minutes later.

Robert sat in a chair on the airship. As he continued sitting there he put his hands into his pockets. He felt something and pulled it out to see what it was. He looked at the small photograph of his family remembering how the photo had originally been burnt. He quickly shoved the photo back into his pocket not wanting to dwell on the memory any longer, but he couldn't help reaching behind him and touching the large scar on his back. The airship landed bring him back to present. He walked out of the airship with the rest of the students.

Another several minutes later.

Robert continued standing and listening to the teacher's story. It had started out fairly interesting, but after a while the constant egotistical comments made Robert very bored and want nothing more than to kill some Grimm. Luckily, the second teacher interrupted the first and gave some instructions and tips on what to do. When he asked if anyone had any questions several students practically lunged to the zip-lines. "I guess that answers his question," Robert thought. Robert then walked to the zip-line that was farthest away, since no one was lining up to use that one. Apparently many of these students were too lazy to take a few extra steps. As he approached the zip-line, he noticed there was no handle-bar. Robert looked down at his weapons and extended the blades on both. Then, he hooked both blades onto the rope and zipped down. As he looked at the other students he noticed several were letting go of their zip-lines. "Are we supposed to do that?" Robert asked out loud, even though he knew no one was around to answer him. He didn't remember anyone saying they had to do that, so he continued down the zip-line. After a couple of minutes passed, Robert began to notice a decrease in trees. The zip-line was starting to leave the forest. He thought of letting ago right then, until he noticed that the end of the line was starting to quickly approach. "I've held on this long. Might as well continue until the end," he thought out loud. The speed he had gained from hanging on so long caused him to fly a few feet past the end of the line. He tucked-and-rolled at the last second to transfer his forward momentum into inertia, preventing any major injuries. As he got up he shouted, "Yes!" He looked around hoping that someone had seen him pull off such an awesome maneuver, but was disappointed to see no one around. He looked around and saw the tree-line in the distance. "It'll only take another several minutes of walking," he said out loud with a large sigh. "Great! More walking." Robert immediately regretted picking the zip-line he did.

Gideon poured himself another cup moments before the announcement. Naturally, Gideon tuned out the loudspeaker voice and sipped his tea, yet whilst he drank, a passing figure who seemed in a bit of a hurry hit Gideon's elbow as he passed. The result was spilled tea that could not be recovered, no matter the athleticism or coordination Gideon possessed. Looking at the tea that was currently conforming to its new cup, which appeared to be the floor and pink hair-- now she'll be even more afraid of him. Gideon sighed, a look of dismay embodying his facial features as he wrapped the shemagh and half-robes around his upper torso as well as putting his baggy pants over his silk pajamas. It was comfortable either way.

Following everybody else, Gideon made his way onto the airship where he went into a dormant state, unaware of his surroundings. Due to the desert surrounding of his childhood and adolescence, Gideon usually knew when a fight was coming from miles away. Before then, he would empty his mind and bring on the equivalent of sleep in preparation for his fight. He was eventually awoken by the movement of students as the ship landed.

Xovos exited the airship and followed the students to two teachers. One with a good amount of facial hair began talking, and Gideon did what he did best, he tuned him out. Eventually, Xovos followed the other students to the zip-lines, finding one to call his own, Gideon unsheathed one of his Mardemdievs from his robes and used it as a means of holding to the zip-line. Sliding his way down, Xovos watched as others dropped off rather early in their decline. Since Xovos usually tuned out the instructions, he did as others did, he let go of one side of his blade, allowing him to fall.
And fall.
And fall.

Gideon eventually hit the canopy of the forest, the impact of hitting a relatively thick branch sending him spinning. Attempting to catch his fall, Gideon grabbed onto a branch he was barreling towards though he still broke straight through the branch and continued to hit branches on his decent until he hit the ground, doing something between a graceful somersault and a series of flips before landing on his feet, albeit bruised and battered quite thoroughly.

A certain silver haired boy sat on a bench with his umbrella next to him leaning over his shoulder until the announcement came over the speakers, so the boy got up slowly and casually walked to the entrance while whistling. He was also going at a pace where he wouldn’t get caught in the rush of the first lot to run in.

He then spent the entire trip on the airship leaning in a corner with his red umbrella leaning next to him, he kept a sweet smile on his face but no one paid any attention to the boy. Not that he cared, soon enough people would know of him… and maybe some rumours would start, ah the boy would like that, maybe some rumours like the past… Maybe pretend to be a cross-dresser, could easily get some sick bastards spinning around his finger. ‘So many options, so much freedom ah how fun life will be’ Savan thought to himself just before the airship landed.

When everyone exited the ship Savan followed the swarm of students and the two teachers until a teacher started talking, of course no one would actually listen to him so he smiled and pretended to listen… of course he never got a single word from that speech… not that any of that would ever make sense to anyone stupid enough to actually listen.
There was one flaw, Savan didn’t know what to do next, luckily there was a swarm of meat ba- i mean kind people to show him the way which lead to a zip-line… with no handlebars, then he also noticed that other people were using their weapons then just randomly dropping off.

“well its kinda awkward using an umbrella on a zip-line so…” the boy mumbled.
“i guess I just gotta try this instead” Savan finished speaking, smiled then ran and jumped off next to the zip-line. Suddenly his umbrella opened up and started spinning which then led to Savan shooting off… there was a flaw, after a bit his umbrella went haywire and he started spinning with it causing him to fall into the trees below.

“owowowowow damn I thought i would be better at this by now” Savan spoke brushing himself off....well at least he made it to what seemed to be the destination

JACK ORPHEUS | Testing Period

"Let's see... Basin, artifact, first person I see is partner... Wait what else was there?", the wind rushed through his hair, or rather... He himself was rushing through the air, blasting down one of the ziplines, and in his absent thought almost rammed his face into a tree. He noticed quickly enough to avoid it, land nimbly on some of the branches below and... Jump right at a pair of razor jaws?

The ursine Grimm those jaws belonged to found itself snapping at air and a strange blue-black lightning, not moments later, it was slashed to bits, falling apart as Jack stood at ease behind it, a wisp of his semblance trailing behind him and all around the ursa. His twin daggers drawn and him making a long exhale.

"Hm, he wasn't kidding, there really are Grimm out here... Now then... Which way was it to the artifacts...", he mumbled to himself, after some moments, and checking which direction he was launched from, he decided the very opposite direction from the starting point was where the artifacts were most likely.

"Alright, I'll go this way".

"Okay.... if I go this way.... but the...-! Ugh." She said as her hands were layed on her head and looked around. "Where am I supposed to gooooo?" Priscilla sighed and looked around, now seeing someone about 50ft away from her, the right,."Oh oh! HIIII!" she waved at the person and ran over to her, accidently tripping over a rock. "Ouch!" She said standing up from the ground and continued to run to that person, which was really a girl. They said in the announcement, that you will find a partner when around the forest and all. So it probable means that this girl was gonna be her partner for the rest of her life in the academy! "Yay!" she jumped excitedly clapping with joy and walked to the girl now, extending her hand. "Hii! My name is Priscilla!~ are we like partners now or something? Oh! Do you think we should look for others? Are there Grimms around here? Where are we? I was lost and I dont know wwhere to go. Im getting a bit hungry, I shouldve ate something. I think I did eat something but dont remember." She nodded, running a hand through her pink hair, now waiting for the girl to respond.

"Now that you've heard his words of inspiration, it is time for this test to get under way."

Bridget snapped awake blinking the sleep from her eyes. Did I really just fall asleep on my feet? Never done that before. She reached up to adjust her hood into place in order to surreptitiously wipe a little drool from her lip.

"You will all be taking one of the many Zip-lines located around this area, and riding them down the pass and into the basin of Forever Fall. The rules of partnership are simple, first come, first served. Eye-contact binds you together as a pair, and every pair must search around the basin for an artifact."

Bridget let out a little moan of despair, I don't even know anyone here, who am I supposed to partner up with? She looked around at all the other trainees adjusting their weapons and armor and took a moment to make sure that Rakurai was secure against her leg, when collapsed it just looked like a small-ish stick. Bridget allowed herself a tiny smirk, musn't let them see her loose her poise after all. Boy are they gonna be suprised when they see me in action.

"Two pairs with a matching Artifact will make a team of four, which, needless to say, will be your permanent team. Good luck to all...and uh, word of warning Students, there are Grimm a-plenty in there. Oh, and a train. Careful of the train. Now...any questions before you start?"

Bridget very carefully said nothing at all and after she saw several other students heading for ziplines she made her way towards an unoccupied one, looking for signs of the aforementioned train. Once she reached the edge of the cliff she hesitated, That is a long way down she tells herself, I don't normally have any issues with heights, but that is a LONG way down Seeing the other students plunging gleefully into the forest she realized there as nothing for it and took a small hop off the cliff and began rushing down the zip line into the forest.

Seeing that her zipline was going to take her past a small pond she let go and landed in a tuck and roll that brought her up just a little way from the waters edge. Knowing that predators tend to lurk in just such areas she immediately began focusing on her surroundings, and was able to keep track of anything in her vicinity. Confident that there was no imminent danger she paused to take a drink from the pond then began a light jog towards the artifacts.

JACK ORPHEUS | In the Forever Fall

The trees and the grass were a dusty red, all around he could only see red, and him wearing blue in the midst of it... Well, he most certainly stood out, which was the opposite of the reason he wore this coat in the first place. He might have to consider buying different coloured versions for different missions. Eventually he spotted an unnatural formation, one that was made purposely. As he neared it, he was guessing that this was where the train tracks were... Though there was no train, for now, he remembers being warned about a train. He simply looked around a bit, and then proceeded back into the forest surrounding it. The Forever Fall was a beautiful place to be sure, but all this red felt ominous to him. Only when he started walking through it did he begin to appreciate it, but also feel for it. He was a city boy in the end though, a pretty place like this only served to make a good place to take pictures and hang up somewhere nice an apartment.

"Hmmm... I kind of went down a zip line late. I wonder if everyone's found a partner already...", he thought to himself. After what seemed to be a minute, he heard the rustling of leaves behind him, only getting heavier and heavier. As he turned the rustling turned into a sprint, and he could feel the ground shake with every thud. By the time he had turned around completely, the Ursa was already upon him. But their slow speed allowed him plenty of time to escape, splitting into a wisp of lightning. Almost immediately, the flash of a blade went right along the side of the Ursa, halting it in it's tracks. Jack didn't relent, flashing right through again a couple times, in a similar fashion to the one he slew earlier.

"Almost forgot... They attacked in pairs. This one must've been friends with the other...", he assessed, throwing his dagger a short distance into the air and catching it, just playing with it.

"I wonder if I'll see an Ursa Major. I hear they've been seen a lot lately here in the Forever Fall".

"Rawr"

Jack turned to the source of the noise. It was an Ursa, albeit much larger, and had a much more grotesque collection of white shells. By most accounts, this would be an Ursa Major. The giant bear Grimm didn't waste time to swing it's claws at him, but Jack was quick enough to avoid that, doing an impressive backflip into a jump. By the time the claw ended the swing, Jack was already above it.

"Speak of the goddamn devil eh?", the Ursa Major swung the back of it's hand into the air to intercept him, but he was still a step ahead. Leaving behind only a slight bit of shadowy electricity, he appeared crouched on the ground in an instant. Blades drawn he turned into a flash and ran a couple runs around the sides of the Ursa Major, but eventually he had to retreat. After a few flails, the the bear's claws almost got him.

"Smart, and pretty sturdy. Also pretty strong", it was as expected, though he wasn't going to survive a single strike from this arms. He wasn't that type. So his best interest was to just avoid it entirely.

"Could probably out-run it though", and with very little hesitation... He dashed right for it. The Ursa Major hurled what seemed to be some rocks, but those were easy enough to avoid, dashing side to side in a zig-zag before making a long-dash to the top of the Grimm's head, and jumping off it and then simply continuing on. Immediately it gave chase. He was easily fast enough to out-run it and lose it, but what fun would that be?

"Now to run this into someone with a bit more power than me...", he smiled. Dashing from branch to branch, the Ursa Major just powering through the bushes and between trees.

Oliver hopped off the branch he was standing on, it wasn't to high up so he didn't need to roll or anything like that. Oliver's shoes swept up some of the leave on the ground, underneath the layer of blood red leaves lied another layer of blood red leaves...Oliver paid no attention to this. His mind was focused on finding a partner and/or finding the place where the artefacts lie. Oliver walked for what felt like hours, searching the never ending red forest ahead of him. It has only been a few minutes since landing but for some reason it felt longer. Was it boredom? Angst? This forest's mystical powers? Oliver kept on walking, cutting down the occasional plant life that grew between the leaves on the ground. Oliver transformed his twin hook blades into their gun form, two revolvers that Oliver briskly stuffed into the holsters on either side of his hips.Off in the distance Oliver could hear noises, they were most likely inaudible for a normal person, but being a dog faunus he could hear it. His ears perked up and started moving and turning in different directions, as if he could hear better if his ears turned a certain way. Oliver couldn't manage to hear where the noise was coming from, but it made him want to look.

Oliver started to running in the direction he was already walking in, flying past trees like and kicking up leaves as he ran.

Bridget's jog came to an abrupt stop when her situational awareness picked up movement in the vicinity. Her semblance wasn't the only thing alerting her to the presence, however; from behind a copse of trees up ahead came the blood-curdling noise of steel scraping against stone.
Thirty seconds into his speedwalk in the general direction of the artifacts he was supposed to find, Abel realized that he hadn't checked to make sure that the Ampere was in top condition that morning. Cursing himself for failing to think about that -particularly since he had been so mind-numbingly idly on the airship ride here-, he brought his polearm close to his face for a quick inspection. Sure enough, the well-used blade sported a hint of grime and a less-than-ideal edge. A speedy pit stop was surely in order.

Abel scouted his surroundings until he found a suitable boulder in front of a bunch of strikingly scarlet trees. He hiked up the slight incline toward the rock and, once there, wiped the Ampere's blade against the grass to clean it before he set to sharpening it. As the steel first grated across the rock, Abel winced. The sound was sure to draw any students for hundreds of yards around and, almost certainly, bring a pack of vicious Grimm monsters straight toward him. Given the state of the Ampere, however, it was a necessary evil.

Only a few seconds before completing his routine, Abel was interrupted by the sound of swishing leaves directly ahead. He froze and scanned the trees for any sign of pitch-black fur or bony protrusion, muscles tense to spring back and point the newly-honed Ampere outward should a beast lunge for him.

Instead, a far more welcome sight greeted him. From between the russet-brown branches and vermillion fronds of the copse pushed a girl. Abel released his bated breath in a long sigh, even though the other students held in her hand a little chain scythe poised to attack. Clearly he wasn't the only one on edge. As he hoisted the Ampere onto his shoulder, he quickly sized up his soon-to-be partner. Her ultra-long hair, a very loud shade of cyan, stood out against the eternal autumn like a lump of coal in snow. After getting over that, he briefly took in her black cloak and pale skin before locking eyes with her. Abel felt her silvery eyes poring over him in the same way. Each felt it hard to believe that the total stranger they saw before them would become a friend, comrade, and teammate for the remainder of their days at Beacon.

“Well, I guess you'll do.” Abel broke the silence, trying to seem cheerful. “The name's Abel.” He made no move to shake, thinking that it might make out to be too keen.

“At least The trees broke my fall I guess” Savan mumbled to himself as he floated from tree branch to tree branch using his umbrella as a sort of glider. All He knew of what he had to do was find someone else to be his partner or something along those lines.
“hmmm I wonder if I could get a partner who would be easy to play around with” Savan continued to think out loud until he heard a roar from a short distance away.
Taking this opportunity to see if anyone was around he took off to see the source of the roar, but as he traveled through the trees he felt a sudden force go past him only to turn back around to see an Ursa Major giving chase to whatever just past was.

“my oh my what do we have here?” Savan spoke with a sweet smile on his face before the blades of his umbrella flung out and he cut off the branch he was standing on before kicking off it to have the branch suddenly spin towards the Ursa before it tried to attack him. Savan then landed on another branch behind him and called out to see if what passed him before was in fact another person,
“hey did anyone just pass here? you left something behind”

JACK ORPHEUS | In the Forever Fall

After what had transpired, the Ursa Major was only further enraged by the branch that hit it in it's face. Jack was now behind the person he had passed by, leaning against a tree as he landed. You can really see the path of destruction the Ursa left behind, while Jack seemed to be fairly relaxed. He had led it for a good few minutes by now, he was absolutely sure there were other people around, but either this place was bigger than he thought, or he ran pretty far ahead with this Ursa on his back. It was probably the former, it doesn't look like this guy here with the umbrella went very far.

"It uhh, followed me home. Wanna keep it?", he mockingly asked. As he asked this question, the Ursa Major had gotten back up and made an irritated roar, before standing on it's hind legs to show it was ready to fight. It seems to recognize it was going to have two adversaries, though it's eyes were trained onto Jack himself. After a few pleasantries, the Ursa Major charged forward again straight for Jack. There was no way it was going to catch him like this, but it was nothing more than a Grimm, enraged. With ease he led it around without letting it getting anywhere near hitting him.

"I think he needs a bit of a beating. You got something for that?"

“Well, I guess you'll do.” Abel broke the silence, trying to seem cheerful. “The name's Abel.”

Bridget looked at Abel carefully mentally assessing him So this is who I'm stuck with, looks like a bruiser, but maybe not completely without intelligence. No sense in burning bridges just yet. "Hello Abel, I'm Bridget, It's a pleasure to meet..." Her voice trailed off as her situational awareness picked up something coming in... fast. With a sharp glance past Abel she slapped at her thigh grabbing Rakurai and pulling at the weighted end, which released a length of chain and caused the blade to snap out with a vicious sound. "Cover!" She shouted as she hurled the weight up into the foliage with a flick of her wrist, followed shortly by a small tug with her other hand and she vanished up into the treetops after it, fairly well hidden, unless you knew what you were looking for. "Beowulfs, 5 of them, coming in fast!"

Abel looked briefly stunned as the tiny woman fairly vanished into the trees, though it only took him a moment to relocate her. "What are you talking about? How could you possibly know if there are.." He was interrupted as the leader of the pack came bursting through the other edge of the clearing and stopped, snarling at him.

Abel took an instinctive step backward. “Answers that,” he remarked, and considered joining his new partner in the trees. Her grappling hook trick had been neat, but wasn't something he could replicate. If this girl wanted to retreat and attack from afar, that sat fine with him. There would always need to be those at the front--the protectors.

The guardians.

Instead of fleeing into the scarlet grove, he hopped up onto the boulder upon which he had sharpened the Ampere. As he did so, he flicked his weapon's mechanism, and it transitioned smoothly into its staff form. From the high ground, he regarded the Beowolves, who were growling horribly as they fanned out to cut off as many routes of escape as possible. Standing sideways with the business end of the staff pointing outward, he waited until one Beowolf -the leader, judging by its size- came within twenty feet of him. Abel, having witnessed the Grimm from the walls of Vale for years, perceived its muscles tensing to spring.

When that happened, he allowed his pent-up semblance to surge through the Ampere. It erupted from the crystal at the staff's tip in a brilliant bolt of electricity, arcing between metal and monster instantly. Two hundred volts rippled through its body, causing its muscles to spasm and its lungs to constrict. In another split second, the lightning bolt was gone, and the pack leader lay still on the ground.

As the Beowolves howled in wrath, Abel swapped the Ampere back to its blade form, his face impassive. While his semblance was still capable of manipulating the polearm, he would need to wait a minute or two before he could use the lightning strike again. One of the other Beowolves pounced for him, but he brought the Ampere up in time for the beast's jaws to close around the metal pole rather than his throat. With a mighty heave he pivoted it down against the rock he stood on. With his weapon positioned awkwardly, he resorted to kicking it to encourage it to let go. The creature released its purchase and twisted away, trying to regain its footing. Abel took the opportunity to bend his knees and leap off the boulder toward the nearest tree. At the arc of his jump, he thrust the Ampere forward, and it lodged in the bark. Grunting, he pulled himself up onto a convenient branch. The jaws of the Beowolf he had defended against a snapped shut where he foot had been a second earlier.

“Hey,” he yelled at the leaves, oblivious to Bridget's exactly location. “I've got 'em distracted! Hit 'em with your scythe!” If she jumped from the canopy, he planned to drop down and join her in the melee.

Falling...Kuhaku was falling at a frightening speed towards the ground. The wind loudly roaring in his ears as his stomach sank from the strong feeling of vertigo the closer he got to the earth below. Just before landfall however, he did a single front-flip in midair and landed gracefully, the only noise or disturbance made was from the red grass and leaves rustling from his landing and the metallic clinking of the sword and shield on his back. He had landed with both of his feet planted and bent at the knees to absorb any impact, his arms stretched outwards for balance. Waiting a moment to let his body settle from the landing, he then stood, straightening up. Reaching towards his head with his gloved hands, he pulled back the hood of his shawl revealing his striped, white ears. His similarly striped, white tail slowly swaying back and forth behind him as he began to survey his surroundings.

As he took a quiet moment to himself, the black stripes of his ears and tail faded away to a plain, stark white and he ended his optical concealment. His partial invisibility fading away with his stripes, revealing himself completely. When he had first arrived at Beacon Academy, he did so under the full concealment powers of his [VISION MANIPULATION]. He was a bit shy at first and was nervous about meeting so many new people at once. He wanted to give himself some time to make his initial impressions of the other students after observing them. But now was the time to make friends and form potential team-mates. Besides, he was tired from hiding all this time. Slowly, he grinned a wide and toothy grin. The sight of Forever Falls was breathtaking. With its red vegetation and fragrant, yet earthy scent filling the air, Kuhaku couldn't help but take an extra moment to enjoy the scenery before him as a gentle breeze flowed through the trees. The forest's rustling being music to his ears.

Raising his gloved fists into the air he then cheered, "Whoo-hoo! Awesome! Successful two-point landing by yours truly! Ten points across the board!" he said to nobody in particular as he cupped his hands around his mouth and imitated a crowd cheering. He closed his eyes and continued to grin, placing his hands on his hips in triumph over his celebrated landing.

Then, his ears twitched at a curious sound from within the forests. Opening his eyes, his grin quickly vanished. "Eh?"

His nose caught the scent of something or some things with malicious and murderous intent. His pupils narrowed into a vertical slit as he slowly unsheathed his sword with his right hand and removed his shield from back, equipping it to his left arm. He looked at the surrounding trees and bushes as he steeled himself. At that moment, three Beowolves crawled forth from the bushes. They snarled and growled as they approached him. Their hulking, black frames slowly encircling him. The racket he caused from all of his jubilation had attracted unwanted attention it seemed.

Perfect. Just great. He had only just landed and lowered his guard to relax, only to be rewarded by this? Kuhaku shook his head in dismay as his grin slowly returned. Although it was more of him baring his fangs at the three Grimm, daring to challenge them. His eyes darted back and forth between his three new visitors. A nervous bead of sweat slowly trickled down the side of his face as his blood began to rush, adrenaline freshly flowing through his veins. His ears acted like radar dishes, twitching back and forth, collecting information. As he watched the Beowolves surround him, he growled softly.

"Bring it on," he hissed out at them, venom dripping from his words. He lifted his shield in front of him, bracing for the first attack. His sword close at his side.

The biggest Beowolf roared in response and charged at him first, but it was slow and Kuhaku saw its attack coming. He took the full force of the first Beowolf's slash, the front of his shield sparking from the attack and making a horrid metallic screech. The attack was powerful to be sure, but Kuhaku had dug his feet into the ground and withstood it easily. Unfortunately for the Beowolf he had swung too wide and easily opened itself up to a counter-attack. Immediately after the Grimm's attack, Kuhaku reared his left arm back and smashed the front of his shield across the first Beowolf's head, with a loud 'thwack!' sound. His shield reverberated, vibrating loudly. The Beowolf was effectively stunned for a few seconds.

The second Beowolf was a bit smarter and faster. It took this opportunity to attempt to blindside Kuhaku, charging at his right side. But, the second Beowolf moved a little too fast and Kuhaku simply hopped to the side and evaded it. As the second Beowolf suddenly stopped and tried to turn to reorient itself, Kuhaku raised his Charge Blade and swiftly split the second Beowolf's head in half, felling it. The first Beowolf had regained its composure and snarled at Kuhaku, lunging forward at Kuhaku. Turning his head just in time to face the first Beowolf, he reared his left arm back and thrust forward towards its neck, beheading him on the sharp edges of his Axe Shield. Two down, one left.

Readjusting, he squared off against the last Beowolf and smirked. The last one was the smallest of the three and was not as fast or strong as the other two. It hesitated seeing the quick defeat of its comrades and was unsure of how to now approach its underestimated 'prey'. Finally, it decided that it could somehow avenge its comrades and rushed at Kuhaku. Too late, it waited too long. As it barreled towards him, Kuhaku sheathed his sword into his shield. Removing the shield from his arm, the combined weapon rapidly transformed, its parts separating and sliding against each other to reconfigure itself into a massive double-headed Great Axe.

Grabbing the handle of his Great Axe with both hands, he lifted it behind him and crouched, bending at his knees. As the third and final Beowolf futilely swung at him, he jumped high into the air and flipped over its head. Hefting his axe over his head, Kuhaku then did an overhead swing and brought the axe down onto the third Beowolf's back, slamming the Grimm into the ground and crushing it. Instantly executing it. Landing on the back of the fallen Beowolf, Kuhaku tightly gripped the handle of the axe and pulled. With a bit of effort, he removed the axe from its body. Looking around, he checked to make sure that there were no other enemies in the area before letting out a relieved sigh. All in all, the battle had ended within minutes. Rolling the giant weapon across his body, he fantastically spun his weapon. The axe loudly hissing as it reverted back to a sword and shield. The three dead Beowolves at his feet slowly dissipating into black smoke.

He smiled as he raised a forearm to wipe away at the sweat on his brow, "Well, that was fun. But I should probably get a move on. All that noise could've attracted some more unwanted attention and I need to get going if I want to find some team-mates and complete this test."
He looked at his sword and shield, blinking curiously, "Ah, I should probably keep these equipped for now..."
Bushes then rustled behind him, startling him, "Oops, better get moving!"

With that, he saluted the defeated Grimm. He raised his shield and placed his sword across its face, bowing his head. Raising his nose up at the sky and closing his eyes, he sniffed and inhaled deeply, his ears twitching back and forth. Deciding on the most appropriate direction, he then briskly jogged towards the forest. Heading in the direction he believed would lead him to these so called 'Artifacts' that he needed to find. His clothing and equipment clinking softly as he moved, he had a bright smile on his face and sparkle in his eyes. His musical laughter fading away as he disappeared into the scarlet forest...

“Hey, I've got 'em distracted! Hit 'em with your scythe!”

Ugh, idiot, this was a fight we didn't need to have Bridget though maliciously to herself nothing for it now but to get his bacon out of the fire.

Taking a moment to asses the situation and try to come up with a strategy, Bridget aimed the weighted end of her chain carefully and hurled it, just past a Beowulf and around the base of a tree on the other side of the clearing. Tugging on the scythe end of her kusarigama Bridget tensed her whole body out in order to put full force into a double heel kick right into the face of a Beowulf causing its head to snap back leaving its throat nicely exposed to the blade that came following right behind. With a strangled gurgle the Beowulf tumbled over backwards and landed with a heavy thud as Bridget landed in a roll and came up holding her chain tight blocking the swipe she knew was coming. It came, just as she was expecting, but man those things hit HARD. It launched her into the treeline and out of sight, leaving a few cuts on her face. for a few moments nothing happened, then the chain came shooting out of the bushes once more attaching itself to another tress across the clearing and Bridget came rocketing out after it one foot landing on a Beowulf in passing. Pushing off with that foot she performed a little flip that wrapped the chain around its neck and as she landed from the maneuver she yanked as hard as she could, dragging the creature down with her, stunned, but not out. with a few deft flicks of her wrist she gathered all parts of her weapon back to her and danced back a few steps, blade spinning on a length of chain, watching everything around her as best she could, with this much going on, her semblance was just too much to keep up.

"You know" she said mildly, as though nothing of import was occuring "anytime you feel like joining in would be fine"

Gren never made it to the bottom of the zipline. Rather, he simply chose to take an early exit off the line and onto the back of a Sitting Bull. He was part of a large stampede who no doubt were heading towards the nearest direction of other students. Gren jumped from one bull to another, actually not killing them despite having the best opportunity to do so. He still needed them, if only for now. Still, these bulls were going to harm some students, and he was going to have to figure out a way to stop them. As Gren hung on for deal life, he noticed a few large trees ahead of him. He knew what he must do. using his Friction Semblance to maintain his footing on the back of the bucking bulls, Gren changed The God Eater into it's Terror form and revved it's blade. The bull he was on heard this, and tried to slam Gren towards the nearest tree. His mistake. In one fell slash, he cut the tree down where it landed on the grimm behind them, killing them and blocking the path of the other charging Grimm. Gren took the Sitting Bull by the horns and steered it towards the alrge trees. When they rode past, Gren chopped the tree down as well, causing a larger blockage and a pile up of Grimm monsters. From their loud and horrific screams, Gren guessed that he killed a few.

The Sitting Bull that Gren was on didn't like the fact that Gren was using it however, and sought whatever means to get him off. One such means being running off a cliff, expecting to take both of them out. But Gren wasn't going to get killed that easily. He pushed himself off the bull and into the open area. He could see a few ziplines in the distance, so he could guess that there was some students down the ground he was about to land. Now he just needed to land. Gren changed The God Eater into it's Destroyer form and began to rev it's main gun. It only took three seconds and soon, Gren was firing a rainstorm of bullets towards the ground. He tore about anything unfortunate enough to be below him; trees, the ground, Grimm, maybe even a few students. But he only did it so he could use the recoil generated from his weapon to ease his landing, firing in bursts. At least everyone with ears would hear him coming; the loud and constant cacophony of his God Eater would alert anyone to his position.

DAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKA (Ad Nauseam)

Eventually Gren landed with a thud. "So far so good. Those bulls took me a fair distance away, but hopefully that's the last I'd be seeing them. Now to find those artifacts." Gren began to run towards where he saw those ziplines. With any luck, other students have left some sort of path which he could follow to find them. What he found was a different set of tracks however, neither student nor grimm. They were train tracks. Gren did remember something about one of the teachers mentioning a train that ran through Forever Fall forest. With any luck, Gren could try to hitch a ride. Still, for now he'd follow the train tracks. With any luck other students might think the same and he could partner up with them. He needed to get going anyways, he probably attracted half the forest with his landing.

"It uhh, followed me home. Wanna keep it?",
Savan got a reply from behind him, savan turned around and saw some guy in a coat leaning against a tree. But before he could reply the Ursa major had gotten back up and let out a roar before standing up on its hind legs. Though it seemed more focused on the guy it was chasing before as it charged right at him even though it noticed Savan.
It charged and the coat dude dodged it with ease before asking,
"I think he needs a bit of a beating. You got something for that?"
“Hmmm, I wonder It seems a bit too strong to just slice its head off so I guess i could just..” Savan nonchalantly replied while putting on a thinking face and putting his index finger against his face in thought. He was purposely taking his time, the guy wouldn’t get hurt it seemed so it was all ok...well even if he got roughed up a bit it wouldn’t matter much.

“well lets just wear it down a bit” Savan eventually said sounding like he had an idea.
He then jumped down with his umbrella up and did a swinging motion with the umbrella with the top speeding up and releasing at the end of the swing.
“you ever played with table tops before?”
The sped up top swirled around and sliced the back of the hind legs of the Ursa Major, and while it sliced through Savan shot it in the head a few times to help distract it a bit.

The top returned and Savan twirled it on his shoulder as the enemy’s hind legs gave out and it dropped.
“Sooo… I kinda stopped it… got any idea how to finish it off?”

JACK ORPHEUS | In the Forever Fall

"Already a step ahead", he yelled in response. His blades glowing, he disappeared into a lightning bolt, turning into numerous blade flashes around the head area, ending with a fine vertical flash right down the neck. The shots exposed a bit of it's neck, and the cut out hind legs stopped it from moving freely, giving him the time he needed to slice right through. As he reappeared from the lightning, the Ursa Major fell into a shadowy mist, signifying it's defeat.

"You have some rather strange toys. Name's Jack, I guess you're partner now...", there was a bit of hesitation in his voice, or rather, discontent. He hoped to find someone cool or cute, but instead he found a kid with a spinning top umbrella. Which... Was okay. Then again all he had were these two daggers, that had nothing special about them.

"So, let's go find those idols. I wanna get home and eat something already", he didn't bother with any further chit-chat, and didn't want to. With all introductions done they headed into the general direction they think the idols are. Or relics... Or artifacts...? He forgot.

Robert continued to walk in the direction of the trees. As he got closer and closer, a lone tree in the field was in front of him. Robert's stomach growled. He regretted missing breakfast now, and he even had a second chance to have something when that one guy offered him tea. Robert struggled to remember the kid's name. "Did he even tell me his name?" Robert wondered aloud. He looked back at the tree, and remembered something about the trees in Forever Fall having really good tasting sap. "Time to find out!" Robert shouted as he slashed at the tree with his blades. Eventually, he cut deep enough that sap began to leak out. "Success!" he yelled. He put his face to the tree, not wanting to get his hands sticky, he tried to sip it straight from the tree. As he continued drinking from the tree, he began to hear a strange buzzing noise. At first, he ignored it. As it got louder and louder though, Robert looked up. An entire hive of Rapier Wasps hung above him. He looked back at the incision he had made in the tree and saw the sap still slowly spilling out. He licked around his lips and still tasted the sap around his mouth. He looked back up to the hive. "Oh, no." He began to slowly back away, but almost as if the wasps had been waiting for him to move, they all flew out of the hive and began to gather and form a small cloud. Robert ran and the wasps chased him. "Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!" Robert screamed so loudly that it almost drowned out the buzzing the thousands of small insects were making. "Why does this always have to happen to me?" he said to himself as he sprinted faster than what he thought he was able, too.

After Savan attacked multiple flashes appeared and the Ursa Major fell into a shadowy mist when the coat guy reappeared from the lightning like flashes which he whistled in awe to.
"You have some rather strange toys. Name's Jack, I guess you're partner now..." So blue coats name was Jack, guess it’s introduction time so Savan Twirled around and saluted childishly.
“hehehee~ I like spinning things, and the names Savan nice to meet ya” the boy spoke in a childish tone.
"So, let's go find those idols. I wanna get home and eat something already" In reply to this comment Savan gave a blank look….
“So thats what we are supposed to be looking for, ok LETS GO!” He declared pointing in a random direction with his umbrella and so the two headed off hopefully towards whatever it is they needed to get.
