Age:If you want the age of the human projection then he's 14.
If you want to know how old the umbrella is it's 114
Gender:Male
Species:Tsukumogami ~ Karakasa-obake
An abandoned umbrella that comes to life once it turns 100 years old.
Appearance:

He brings the umbrella wherever he goes.
Skill:
~Cooking
~Acting
~Scavenging(he doesn't like seeing abandoned items)
Powers:
~He's capable of creating a human projection.
Weaknesses:
~If you were to snatch the umbrella out of his hands the projection would go away.
~If you break the umbrella it's game over for him.
~He can feel pain but that doesn't do anything to him unless if you messed with the umbrella it would cause damage to him.
Personality:Hajime's calm and friend to non-humans since he has a huge grudge on humans for abandoning him but he doesn't show it and tries to be friendly with them.He hates seeing abandoned items around the place and doesn't want them to end up like him.Excluding that he has a great sense of humor and may prank someone.
History:He used to be an umbrella owned by a young girl who lived in a part of Japan that rained most of the time so she usually brought it everywhere.The young girl's friends would always talk about the umbrella when she brought it.Soon the girl left the umbrella in the streets never returning back to it.Now the umbrella just glided in the wind for many years.Now about one hundred years has passed and the umbrella had soon became a male karakasa-obake that had a grudge on humanity for abandoning him.

It's interesting but I do think that at one point I asked that the characters be high school age... but even disregarding that... can the umbrella really even do anything? o_o

I think the umbrella is his physical embodiment Demon ^^ If you know the game Ayakashi you should understand
The way I read it, he is the soul or spirit of the umbrella.
